Sandi's calming presence put me at ease and I felt interested by the integration of different modalities (TCM/acupressure/Reiki) and the idea of communicating with and releasing stored energy in the body that was contributing to physical and emotional problems. As a psychotherapist, I am well aware that our nervous systems develop habitual patterns around how we react to stimuli both internally and externally. Additionally, I know that trauma and challenging experiences can be held in the body and it frequently takes more than talking to safely release these experiences. I have found BodyTalk to be an excellent way to access and release both these energies and some of the beliefs impacting the tendency to revert to pain and contraction. Personally, I found these sessions helpful for an ongoing physical discomfort and pain in my left leg (that stretching and corrective exercise did not resolve). Additionally, through the healing work with Sandi I became aware that this pain was related to earlier experiences in my life and beliefs about myself and others that I had not fully let go of.
