I should have tried something different but I wanted to order something I knew well to compare so I ordered the chili chicken and she asked if I wanted it dry or saucy. I said saucy because I never saw it completely dry before so not sure but it was good. It was different than other ones ive tried but every place is a little different. My friends entree came about ten minutes later. She ordered a fish curry. You'd think they could have timed our meals more closely. I ended up getting dessert, ras malai, which was very good since I didn't think it was very sweet. I usually don't enjoy very sweet desserts. Usually don't do a dessert either. I didn't know you weren't supposed to take leftovers with you at Shalimar but the host said he would give me a container for my food just this once. I certainly didn't want to waste food.
