Classic Indian restaurant with good food. The best was the malai kofta! Not too sweet and made with paneer kofta. The paneer makhani was sweet and tangy but standard. The vegetable manchurian was also excellent. Although I preferred the manchurian to have some sauce with it rather than being dry, the manchurian itself did absorb the spices well. The naan was quite small and somewhat burnt. They didn't do justice to the garlic naan or onion kulcha. Just seemed like they threw on very little garlic and the kulcha was a regular naan with some onions on top which is not what onion kulcha is. The service was slow but the server was kind and accommodating. He took into account we didn't want the malai kofta too sweet. The restaurant itself is decorated like a classic Indian restaurant. For the price, the curry quantity is on the smaller side. However, I do recommend trying the food and keeping it as a standard Indian takeout place or family dinner place (if you're okay with some slower service). read more

Very impressed with this restaurant. The dal tadka (dal fry) was good. The baingan bharta was very good. The palak channa or saag chana I was not at all impressed with as it lacked usual flavor I've had in several other Indian restaurants. All in all, the restaurant has a nice set up inside. The man who sat at the front desk(possibly the owner) was very friendly, the waiter annoyingly barely spoke English which made it impossible to ask questions in English, although someone else came over to help us it just slowed down the whole process. All in all I do think the food was above average and the restaurant had a nice setup, so I enjoyed the experience! read more

The food is very flavorful and the chicken or lamb tika masala is delicious, and their rice is fluffy and very tasty. The lunch buffet offers various choices and they have special prices for lunch during the week. The food servers are friendly and appreciate your business. We are always treated well when we go there for lunch or dinner. Their garlic naan is very good and their tea is good they don't disappoint. Stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant when I was hungry , but didn't know what I wanted. Turns out they offered a buffet. I tried most everything and was not disappointed. They even had some dishes I had NEVER seen offered before. Their salad offering led a lot to be desired, but then again, I didn't go there for salad. Firstly the service here was terrible we got our food 15 to 20 mins apart from each other and they only have one server to serve everyone. They care more about their own pockets than to take of customers in a timely manner. They were not prepared to serve anyone once they had a rush of people come in for food because the owner was too busy not helping servers bring food out and giving meaningless attention to people who he was telling to wait. We waited almost 50 mins after we had ordered our food and still didn't get it in a timely manner. We were at this place for almost 3 hours due to the service being slow. Second the food here is bland, unauthentic, over priced and over hyped by customers who aren't familiar with authentic Indian Cuisine. Don't believe any review you read online for this place being authentic Indian cuisine. Third they add their own gratuity to the bills and do not give customers an option at all. I was shocked when they charged us almost $200 for the whole bill and yet the owner was giving 10 to 15 percent off other customers bills for the lack of service they received in front of us and yet had the nerve to charge other customers full price knowing their service of poor and the food was a joke. Please don't go here unless you have no other choice I'm sure there are some other place way better than this. Save your money read more

We ordered take out from this place while we were recently staying in NJ. This was the worst Indian food I've ever had. The food had little to no flavor. We ordered the chicken tikka and chicken malai kabob. I was a little surprised to see that our meal did not come with rice. This should have been pointed out when we called to order. I've never had an Indian meal that did not come with rice. I would have paid for it if I realized it but considering the price was comparable to what I pay for in PA I just assumed the rice was part of the meal. read more

I was not very happy with the food. I have tried another Indian restaurant in the area with a friend who told me that maharaja's was better. I found it lacking in flavor and slightly dry. This place is BIG on flavor and spices. Some of the best Indian buffet food I've had but the negative was that the food temperature was off. The one little candle under the pans was not sufficient to keep The delicious food at a hot temperature. No one really wants cold food from a restaurant especially when people are moving around the food constantly. Once they get the temperature correct, then they will be 5 stars. New, cute, and quaint Indian restaurant in the English Creek Shopping Center. They have Indian food as well as Indo Chinese dishes. Went on a Friday night and was immediately seated upon entering. To start, I had the mixed vegetable platter and the chicken 65. The chicken 65 was incredible and was extra crispy. It had a great slice to it which added to the overall flavor profile. For an entree, I had the chicken vindaloo which I ordered extra spicy (always trying to test the limits of that spice). My partner got the butter chicken (she's a butter chicken type of gal). The entrees all came with white rice. The chicken vindaloo was incredible but wasn't as spicy as I wanted it to be (big spice guy over here). The butter chicken had a very rich and complex flavor as well. Overall, this restaurant does classic Indian dishes very well. They also have a lunch buffet which I will be trying soon (gotta bulk up during the winter season). read more

Me and my husband came out for dinner and decided to come here. A little wait for the food but I understand they just opened up. The food was definitely worth the wait.
