This restaurant recently opened in the Hard Rock casino. As a frequent visitor to this casino, I'm excited for a new restaurant option! The location is not the easiest or most convenient spot in the casino. You'll never just walk by and decide to stop in. I hope that doesn't hurt the restaurant. Hard Rock really needs to make sure guests know this place exists. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm and there were several full tables. The server said they've been busy so that's good to hear! Walking in, we were greeted right away. We did have several staff wait on us throughout the meal so you may not get a designated server but that's not very clear. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The place was very clean and I like the simplistic design. There's a lot of seating and even the ability to shut off a private room for party space. We had the lamb tacos appetizer. The description says mild spices. The meat was very spicy. It wasn't unbearable but if you can't handle spice then these aren't for you. You get 3 small tacos packed with meat. Ground lamb and spices. The tortilla was nothing special. There was onion on top of the meat. The tacos were served with two sauces. The green one was really tasty and complimented the meat well. I couldn't do the red one. It was too spicy. For entrees, we had the Wazwan Kashmiri Mutton and the Truckstop Kahari chicken. We asked for medium spice for both. I think the goat was too mild compared to the chicken. The goat was really tender and not gamey tasting. I thought the sauce had a nice flavor. My only complaint is that there were a couple pieces that were all bone and gristle. However, overall a good dish but was wanting more meat for the price. I enjoyed this sauce but medium wasn't spicy enough. The chicken was cooked perfectly and juicy. Not dry at all. The sauce was more of a tomato flavor. Not as balanced. Very good spice level for medium. I think both dishes had too much sauce compared to the amount of meat. Even with bread and rice. We had the garlic naan and jeera rice. The naan was good. I was excited to try the rice but it was disappointing compared to others I've had. This one didn't have fresh cilantro or much cumin. It lacked seasoning and was clumpy. For the price, I'd skip it and get extra bread. We didn't order from the bar but they had a really unique cocktail menu with mocktails. I'm looking forward to trying them on our next visit!

Located in the Hard Rock Casino. Make a reservation. They are halal. Decor is modern meets Indian fusion. Staff is attentive and accommodating. They explain items very well and in detail. They offer mocktails, and regular drinks.

The area where the store is located is kindly of sketchy and also in inside of the store - you will think no works here. But just call for someone. All the food that we ordered was very very tasty. We ordered: Chicken Chapli Kabab: too too good. Especially the ingredients - we were able to relish everything it was made of. Chicken sheekh kabab: honestly, we didn't like then too much as first of all they were little cold and it tasted like they were not fresh. Lamb Chops: OMG, lamb chops were super. I had the best lamb chops in my life. Highly recommend trying them if you are here. Goat Korma: And the last thing we ordered was Goat Korma with Garlic Naan. Awesome awesome awesome. Definitely, this food made my trip worth to Atlantic City. I highly recommend this place to everyone who is a food lover.

You also have an access point from the broad walk. The food is delicious and more North Indian. We ordered the Kabab Platter - all of them were perfectly done and served four. We ordered butter chicken and lamb curry along with Naan and some fried rice (the chef accommodated our requests to cook along with eggs). Overall, the food was worth going back. He staff was very friendly and took good care of us from our entry, getting seated, making sure we enjoyed our food and got rid of the mango lassi we didn't like. So overall, a good catch for an Indian stop on the Broadwalk.

Until Jalsa opened we hadn't been able to find a restaurant over here where the food was as good as in India. Our meal today began with Jalsa's delicious mango lassi. My wife ordered her usual, Chicken Tikka Masala, and I, a seafood person, ordered the Malvani Fish Curry. Both dishes, accompanied with Kashmiri Naan, were truly wonderful, perfectly seasoned and beautifully prepared! Our traditional dessert, Gulab Jamun, topped off a fabulous meal. The restaurant is nicely decorated with beautiful hanging mosaic chandelier lamps. Authentic recorded Indian music is played at a perfect volume level, enabling conversation. Service is always spot-on, with timely checks to be certain that everything is ok. Our excellent waiter was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Jalsa is one of our favorite restaurants!

The variety of the menu was honestly very impressive, with even seafood curries to choose from. Specifically the Garlic Butter Naan was so much more crispy and flavorful here than I've ever had before. Warning for spice lovers: I got their curry in medium spice and it was extremely mild (definitely dulled down spice for Western tolerances, but I can't even handle that much and found it too mild). The server was correct when they told me it was mild. I'd go straight for Spicy level if you normally tolerate medium well. This was the one part that was disappointing for me about Jalsa, but it's fixable, so I'm not too annoyed. I'll be returning.
