The technicians were extremely thorough but also reasonable. They inspected the car Thoroughly for brake shoe thickness, rust, brake system integrity, rear and front suspension, steering linkage, etc. as well as lights and horn. They informed me of parts that were marginal but acceptable and recommended what should be replaced soon. However, because these parts were still acceptable and safe, they passed the vehicle without pressuring me to replace parts that were in acceptable condition. All in all, a great experience. This is an auto shop that you can trust!

It is tough enough to find a place that has weekend hours but even tougher to find someone who will get you in last minute. I called "3 Brothers Auto Repair " and the gentleman I spoke with was very nice and accommodating. I told him I could be there in about five minutes and he gave me several landmarks so it would be easy for me to find the place. I met Rashid and he was an absolute pleasure. I explained what happened at the prior shop and he was very helpful and said that he'd be happy to work on my car. We had a nice conversation and he had a lot of customers coming in. Some needed inspections while others needed tires or tune-ups, and some just recited the famous line that we all know and love "can you hook up that machine because my car is making a noise and I'm not sure what it is?" There was another customer there who told me she gets all of her car repairs done at " 3 Brothers" and she's always satisfied. Although they were getting busy, Rashid was willing to help everyone and work out a schedule that suited the needs of the client. If you are looking to do something quick like an oil change or if you need that new exhaust, stop by and ask for Rashid. Waste of time and no apologies like it didn't bother him at all. Wish I could give a zero star review - absolutely pathetic customer service. The owner then responded to my Google review that I showed up 3 hrs later to drop off my car. I posted the timestamp of my original call, when I left the shop and when I left the Google review - it was all within about an hour total. Incompetent customer service providers and liars to top it off.

I had a comprehensive ac evaluation at PepBoys in Lindenhurst a couple of days earlier, was told the Freon was full and they found no leaks but the "compressor did not engage". The ECV issue is common with that model and year. I decided to shop around as I have been looking for a competent and honest repair shop since my go to guy of 15 years sold his shop. Understandably Cosmos Auto wanted to confirm the issue before providing a price and told me to bring my car in for a free ac evaluation. Nice clean place and people pleasant. I waited in their comfortable waiting room for them to evaluate the ac. After a while a guy came out and told me I did not need an ECV valve or a compressor and they found no leaks but the "Freon was absolutely empty" contrary to what I was told at PepBoys. The cost with tax was approximately $250. They added, though they didn't think so, if there was a "minor undetectable" leak, a dye in the Freon would reveal this in a few months. I was excited to finally find a competent honest replacement auto shop. I told family, friends and work associates and had plans to bring my son in law' s car in for engine work and my nephew's car too. I drove my car to work the next morning about 12 miles, ac worked beautifully and it worked driving home too. The next morning I turned the ac on and it blew hot air even hotter than it did before the Freon fill up. I called Cosmos Auto and a woman told me that the dye in the Freon is to determine undetectable leaks in the ac. Since the ac lasted no more than 24 hours if it was leaking, it was not a minor leak requiring dye to detect it. This appears to be a tactic to force customers to come back to an auto shop for expensive ac repairs. Needless to say, my search for a competent, honest repair shop continues.

I am the original owner of a 2009 Jeep Cherokee Limited which is in excellent mechanical condition…read morewith 155,000 miles and has a body in great shape, free of dents and rust. The undercarriage, however, was completely rust covered. After an internet search, I gave Steve a call. He was gracious enough to spend about 20 minutes on the phone explaining to me the mechanics of rust remediation and agreed to take a look at my car. Ultimately, Steve and Rob removed the rust and replaced two safety plates underneath, one on the gas tank and the other on the front differential. On their recommendation, struts, shocks, bushings, and all of the mechanical linkages were replaced. The result of all this work is that I have a 15 year old car that literally drives like new. I cannot say enough about the job Steve and Rob did for me. They were always caring, considerate, informative, and accommodating. And, the price was extremely fair and work was finished on time when promised. Do yourself a favor and give Steve a call if you need a restoration. Get lucky like me and find a couple of mechanics you can really trust.
