I had stopped by another shop on Friday and made an appointment for Saturday morning at 8am. When I arrived on Saturday I was very disappointed ( no need to get into details here) and decided to look for another shop. It is tough enough to find a place that has weekend hours but even tougher to find someone who will get you in last minute. I called "3 Brothers Auto Repair " and the gentleman I spoke with was very nice and accommodating. I told him I could be there in about five minutes and he gave me several landmarks so it would be easy for me to find the place. I met Rashid and he was an absolute pleasure. I explained what happened at the prior shop and he was very helpful and said that he'd be happy to work on my car. We had a nice conversation and he had a lot of customers coming in. Some needed inspections while others needed tires or tune-ups, and some just recited the famous line that we all know and love "can you hook up that machine because my car is making a noise and I'm not sure what it is?" There was another customer there who told me she gets all of her car repairs done at " 3 Brothers" and she's always satisfied. Although they were getting busy, Rashid was willing to help everyone and work out a schedule that suited the needs of the client. If you are looking to do something quick like an oil change or if you need that new exhaust, stop by and ask for Rashid. Absolutely terrible customer service. Called to ask if I could drop off car for inspection and was told no problem. Half hour later pulled up to drop off car and was given the run around about how he just miraculously booked 7 cars in front of me and had no way to get it done today. Waste of time and no apologies like it didn't bother him at all. Wish I could give a zero star review - absolutely pathetic customer service. The owner then responded to my Google review that I showed up 3 hrs later to drop off my car. I posted the timestamp of my original call, when I left the shop and when I left the Google review - it was all within about an hour total. NO STARS ! Absolute scam! I decided to take my truck here for an inspection - well what a mistake ! They said I wouldn't pass because of breaks ! Yet I just had them done ! Ive been going to 3 Brothers for about 5 years now and they do great work at a great price. Rashid and his crew are very professional and will explain all the work they do and why they are doing it. Absolute scum of the earth... beware they will try to take advantage of you during inspection! They will say you need brakes , calibers and everything under the sun. After replacing the brakes unnecessarily because the pads were fine and a thorough inspection of calibers they still refused to pass the car for inspection! Highly recommend, they were the least expensive compare to 3 other places I quoted. They were fast and very honest bc I thought I had needed a alternator and they called me telling me I didn't and that I just had lose wiring which was causing the car to not turn on. They recharged my battery put some oil in and only charged me a half hour worth of labor. Great place. read more

Went for an oil change and figured get the cabin filter change as well . Cabin filter 15 min job easily done by yourself from the glove box Over charged . Two weeks later oil pan started leaking on my 2019 truck . I went to the dealer because it was still under warranty . The dealer said the leak was due to the person who did your oil change used cheap oil and very sloppy oil all over the place. I would not recommend this place . read more

This establishment deserves 0 stars. I visited here early on a Saturday, it's close to a local gym I go to figuring it would be an easy kill two birds with one stone kind of thing in getting car inspected and while I go to the gym. I drop by car off come back about 2 hours later being told my car is ready, tells me it's only $10 since it's the first year in owning the car (which isn't something I wasn't aware of) hands me a receipt see that it states $13.15 so not thinking much I had him the money in cash and walked out. I get home and rave to my parents of how "cheap" the inspection was expressing the price. Little did I know that charging any more the the regulated $10 for a first year inspection was against the law...my mom calls tells them that they ripped me off and that I want my money back. They charged me .40 cents for "credit card fees" and then an addition $1 and change for over head fees and tools?! -my mom again expresses and reads what is stated on the DVM website how that's again against the law...they also charged me sales tax too... she argues he says fine and we go back. When we arrive at the place, he continues the argue and says how he has "rent" to pay as a justification to why he charged the extra $3.15 which is complete BS. If you cannot afford or don't want to give inspections....you don't have to buddy. Don't try to trick people because it will come back to bite you in the ass. From what I'm reading as well as my own experience here not only will I NEVER come back here I promise that come Monday morning you will be reported to the DMV. This is wrong on so many levels and to argue that you need to pay rent is none of my business honestly and shouldn't be any of yours if you are relying on $10-35 inspections to keep you afloat. To those who have been here and have had pleasant experience, good for you...but to the others who are thinking about coming here...don't. read more

I took my daughter's car to 3 Brothers for an inspection and was told it needed brakes ($150) to pass. I declined, paid for the inspection and did the brakes myself. When I took the pads off I realized they had close to half an inch left on them (see photo). I replaced them anyway since I already purchased new ones. When my daughter returned the next day they said they were too busy an refused to do the inspection. The following week I return first thing on Saturday morning and I was told that I'd have to pay for a full inspection. I told the owner that I was only required to pay for the brakes to be reinspected per DMV requirements. At that point he came out from around the desk and said let's take a look. He went outside and looked at the front tire and told me that It would not pass unless I got new rotors and probably calipers too. The rotors are fine (only have about 4000 miles on them). The calipers are not leaking and work fine too. I know because we checked them when we replace the brake pads. Besides I'm not sure how you can check calipers on a tire that's mounted on the car and has a hubcap on. At that point my suspicions were fully confirmed and so I left and went to a nearby inspection facility and had us a new inspection in an hour. It's pretty clear that three brothers uses the annual inspections as a way to generate additional business doing brake jobs and other repairs. I am following up this complaint (and video I took of my interactions) with the DMV but I want to people in the Sachem community to know that this is not a reputable business. BE CAREFUL! read more
