Would leave zero stars if I could. I've been a loyal customer for 4 years -- never once was I told I had to prepay for drop-off until today. Out of nowhere, that's the new rule? On top of that, my clothes are usually done same-day, but without even checking, the woman (who acted more like a robot) snapped, "Not today. Tomorrow after 5." If you're overwhelmed or short-staffed, say that. Don't take it out on customers who are just trying to understand what changed. The attitude was completely uncalled for -- yelling at people who have supported your business is a guaranteed way to lose them. read more

Don't use directions from yelp it will take you to a residential apartment complex. Had to use waze to find correct location. Once found the laundry mat was as I would expect. $4.00 per wash load and $.25 for 6 mins of drying. Conveniently located to a Dunkin Donuts and Acme grocery store where you can spend time enjoying a cup of coffee or doing grocery shopping while waiting. read more

I never use a laundromat,but since we went to the shore we wanted to clean all our towels,blankets and sheets.The washers were $6 per load and dryers were 25 cents for 6 minutes.We used 7 washers and 7 dryers we spend about $70 dollars so bring plenty of quarters.It took about an hour to do 7 loads which I think was very good use of our time.We went early in morning and we were out by 10am. I use this laundromat once a week. After reading these reviews I felt I had to write a response. The young couple who run the business are very pleasant. The machines are always clean and I have never experienced rudeness in any form. Maybe people who use the service need to be nicer to service workers. What do people expect, walk in say hi, do your wash, fold it and leave. As for those wanting just to use the dryers, NO, why should they let you tie up their dryers. There are clear signs indicating YOU CANNOT USE THE DRYERS ONLY. So because you can't take advantage of their dryers, you feel the need to write a bad review. Just stay away. It doesn't surprise me to see all the negative reviews about the rude owners. I'm done with this place. I always used the wash and fold service and I asked if they could please not mix our laundry up since we had everything separated in 3 large garbage bags. His response was no they can't do that. I said just pretend it's 3 different customers. As I'm saying this the woman is shaking her head no. He then tells me fine I'll keep it separate. Do you think he did? Ha! Nope, mixed up again. My clothes dryer died suddenly so I needed a place to dry a single load. I had read that that you could only use the dryer if you use the washer. RUDE is not a strong enough word to describe the owners of Mahwah Laundromat on Franklin Tpke. in Mahwah, NJ. My dryer at home is not working, however, my washer is, so I took 4 large loads of clothes there to be dried. On entering, there were absolutely NO customers - the washers & dryers were all empty, yet the man & woman (owners) told me that I could not dry my clothes because I had not washed them there! I explained my home situation - they were totally indifferent & nasty in their response, & told me I could give their laundromat a "NEGATIVE ZERO" if I wanted to write a review of their business! Rude man working front desk, I will not go back. The lady who came later who seemed to be his wife was nice. She is pregnant and when she arrived about 40 min after I got there and experienced the nasty, rude man who sat eating at the front and yelling at customers, she came in and busied herself cleaning, sorting, organizing things ... After a few minutes of her doing all the work he finally got up and slowly made some ridiculous show of helping and then sat back down. Also the place isn't that clean, and is poorly organized. Ha after the response below from "Judy" I am not sure she understands what happens when not there... I understand the difference between RUDE and simply being given information or instructions about the business' rules. Get a camera and watch, see for yourself. Wow! I went to this laudramat 1 time. I had never used these machines before so I asked attendant for help. He was rude and not helpful. I used too much detergent not knowing you use less and my clothes were all Audrey. He could of gave advice. After reading all the responses by OWNERS and how rude the responses are... not ever going back now. I will go to suffern one a few blocks over. I hope they get what they deserve. They are great! Very clean place, do a great wash and fold service, and take excellent care of the clothes. I appreciate that they only allow clothes washed there to use the dryers; that way they know what goes into the dryers HAS been washed. Terrible service! The attendant is continually more concerned about playing video games on his computer and phone than addressing customer concerns. When I asked him a question about which dryers were actually working, he actually said WITH A STRAIGHT FACE that the volume of the load of clothes in a.dryer has no bearing on whether clothes are dried or not. A mind-boggling statement to someone who's been doing his own laundry for over 25 years and knows that answer is a LOAD OF BULLSHIT. Congratulations though, that answer just earned you one star (could not give 0 stars, otherwise I would) and you lost a customer FOREVER. Great job! Good price to have a comforter cleaned. Charged a little extra for designer name. Picked it up, brought it home, opened it up-comforter filling is in big lumps. Brought it back and was told I should have known that was going to happen. If I did do you think I would have paid to have it lumpy? Was questioned; How do they know I didn't bring it in that way? I guess the customer being right is not part of the business model. They also tried to convince me that it isn't ruined--really? If they had only offered to throw it in the dryer and tried to help I would not be writing this review. Obviously will not be going back. read more

This is the worst laundromat I have ever used. It is dirty; detergent spills on top of the machines that are never cleaned up and dried on; bathroom is dirty as well. It is very cramped and small. Most of all the people who work there are rude to customers. In addition, for wash and fold service they leave clothes sitting in dryers for an extended period of time after the cycle is complete (today it was more than 30 minutes). This creates a problem for two reasons: one, there are not enough dryers for people to use and two, the wash and fold clothes will then be wrinkled. I will not be going there again. read more

I went there when it just opened for a few weeks. The place was clean and machine is new. Pretty much exactly as the pictures shown. What's most important to me is that they have big machines for my blankets and they are new unlike the ones by my building where it breaks down and eat my money. Another plus is the Acme and Dunkin Donuts right next door so I can run my errands in between cycles. read more
