Good hotel. Small pool. But they are remodeling the hotel. I'll go again, and see how they are doing.

If you don't follow your GPS like it's the voice of God, you'll drive past this place at least 10 times wondering if you're being pranked. Once you finally find it, though, you're in for a surprise. The hotel is attached to a magnificent steakhouse and gives off this classy vineyard-patio vibe that makes you feel like you're about to attend a wine tasting, even if you're just there for work like I was. Walking up, there are beautiful outdoor tables with glass tops where guests can relax, eat, and pretend they're important. Then you walk into the lobby and BAM dark wood floors, elegant furniture, comfortable sofas, and enough atmosphere to make you wonder, Wait what did I accidentally book? I was honestly concerned I'd somehow clicked the wrong hotel and was about to max out my credit card. Nope. Surprisingly affordable. The room? Fantastic. You've got a Keurig machine ready to fuel your caffeine addiction, a nice big TV, all the amenities you need, and then there's THE BED. Listen, I don't know if it's a pillow-top, a cloud-top, a Sleep Number, a NASA mattress, or if angels personally fluff it every afternoon, but that thing is dangerous. I laid down for what felt like five minutes and woke up the next morning. I slept harder than a newborn after a bottle. Now let's talk about room service. They have this little stand where you order directly from the steakhouse downstairs. I ordered dinner, expecting hotel prices that require a small bank loan. The bill was $35. I nearly called the front desk to report a pricing error. Meanwhile, I was hungrier than a hostage, and they delivered a meal fit for royalty. For a brief moment, I genuinely felt like a VIP. The hotel also has a nice bar for those who enjoy a drink. I don't drink, but if I did, I probably would've celebrated finally finding the entrance. Bottom line: great atmosphere, beautiful property, comfortable rooms, amazing food, affordable prices, and a mattress that may have supernatural powers. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Would I still need GPS to find it? Also absolutely.

While I didn't take advantage of this, I observed many people ordering from this cafe/bar. Room: -Clean and spacious room/bathroom -Complimentary late checkout is available based on availability (you'd have to call the day of checkout to see if it's possible) -There was hardly any noise at night which was a very pleasant surprise considering the location Location: -This is located in a very central area, easy to access right off I-4 as well -The only thing to take note of is parking is $20/car per night. -My favorite part about my stay that is definitely worth mentioning: there is a complimentary shuttle (operates from 5p-11pm) that can take you anywhere downtown within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. Very handy when you want to stop by a cafe or restaurant that's nearby the hotel! I had such a great stay here, I would definitely consider returning for my next stay in Orlando and would highly recommend this for anyone looking to stay in the area!

Being acknowledged for my elite status and given water and snacks was a great touch. The lobby and restaurant areas were clean and beautifully laid out. I ordered fries and a glass of wine that night, and the food was packaged well with everything I needed. I was even impressed to see the manager helping out in the restaurant area. Unfortunately, I had a frustrating experience on Saturday morning. I asked the front desk person if the shuttle could take me to the botanical garden just 5 to 8 minutes away and they seemed annoyed, unhelpful, and disinterested. How do you work at a hotel and not know that? Their body language left a bad taste in my mouth. If they had been the one to check me in, I probably would have left. They definitely need an attitude adjustment. Thankfully, the rest of the stay was wonderful! Food: Breakfast and coffee that morning were delicious and truly restaurant-quality. It's some of the best food I've had at a Courtyard. Room: Spacious, clean, and comfortable with a fridge, coffee station, TV, desk, and sofa (just missing a microwave). The bed was heavenly and gave me the best sleep I've had in a long time. Amenities: The grounds were well-kept, including a nice gym and pool area. The front desk agent at checkout on Sunday at 3pm was also very pleasant. Despite that one bad interaction, the majority of my experience was positive. This is honestly one of the best Courtyards I've stayed at in the country, and I'll definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area!

Conveniently located less than two miles from Universal Studios, shopping, dining, and adjacent to Interstate 4 Exit 74A in the Restaurant Row, my partner and I chose to stay at the Drury Inn & Suites on a busy West Sand Lake Road as first-timers and must say it will not be our last! Check-in was easy and stress-free. With 238 guestrooms and suites, our clean and spacious room was nice, and being at the very end of the hall on the upper floor, it was pretty quiet. Daily breakfast is offered to include scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, and more. They also have a 5:30 Kickback every evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to enjoy free dinnertime snacks and drinks; 3 alcoholic beverages are also included but optional. The staff were always nice and helpful. Please make sure to say hello to Miss Vickie in the mornings at the breakfast buffet. Free parking made getting around so much easier; other hotels charged. As a Universal Partner Hotel, they offer a free, scheduled shuttle to Universal Orlando Resort, which we used during our visit. There's also a number of dining options including B-Line Diner, the Market, Coconuts Poolside Bar & Grill, Dining to Go (room service/pool side dining), Rocks Bar, Descend 21, Fiorenzo, and Icharo. I dined at B-Line, Fiorenzo, and grabbed coffee/snacks at the Market. I'll write up separate reviews for those places. As mentioned earlier, this hotel is huge. I had a double room. Very pleasant. I also appreciated my check in experience, as the staff members were helpful after a brief mixup with cards from my employer. She was very patient and I'm sad I can't recall her name. Nice and firm for a get night rest or a nap after being at the pool side for a few hours. Walk in closet big bathroom ,living room was cool as well. The rooms give you that old 1960 vibes with a modern touch. The resort also featured some old vintage 1960 cars similar to the TWA hotel at jfk airport. The resort had some nice places to go to. Me and my wife enjoyed the bowling alley. We had a lot of fun. Don't forget about the shops with all your favorite carton characters t shirts hats slippers you name it Star Wars, the minions the Simpsons fun for kids all ages. We also enjoyed the cabana cafeteria . I had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries my wife had chicken teriyaki lomein full of nice pieces of chicken ,Which she enjoyed .I also had some chicken tenders and fries from the cafeteria on our stay. We also ordered food from door dash while we were in the main lobby. We ordered shake shack which was cheaper ordering from door dash then buying food on the resort, smash burgers well done with cheese fries, for a little vacation cheat because I'm on a diet. By the way the order came really fast. Don The pool was great especially at night the view was amazing. With the lights shining on the pool and the really nice fire pit they had so you can even roast some marshmallows by it. Also the pool features a water slide for kids and adults. The blow up rafts were $9to17. You also could bring your own as well. You also had an ice machine with cold water free. Plus you had the soft drinks and soda all you can drink for $30 . That was the drink packed. Cabana bay resort also had a restaurant right next the pool outside. Where they had some really good chicken quesadillas with fries. My wife enjoyed that. . I went with the chicken wrap with lettuce and some veggies, It was great to eat pool side with the beach chairs equipped with the big umbrella for shade . Then you also had the lazy river at the resort. That featured a bigger water slide and pool . Bigger than the pool outside the main lobby. The staff was courteous and friendly the stay was fun. Just remember it's kinda pricey . But don't forget about all the theme parks you get to visit for $80 each way .
