We love Melia Orlando!!! We always stay here when in Fla. They are pet friendly, we received a bowl, poop bags, toy and treats for our fur baby. They gave us candies for our anniversary. The hotel is very clean and safe, all of which are important to us with our fur baby. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating, as our room was chilly and it was nice to have extra bedding. Melia removed a large chair they had in the entrance, but added a very nice restaurant called Wilson's that we didn't get to. Their prices are very reasonable and we will absolutely be back. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL WITH PACKAGES DELIVERED TO THE FRONT DESK. I have a photo of a delivery from Amazon that shows the item on the counter, Melia branding from their credit card machine, and a photo that is proof of delivery. I went to pick up my package and the receptionist said that there was no package delivered in my name even though the shipping from Amazon clearly has my name and the Hotel and address. The first receptionist could not find it so her supervisor decided that the photo Amazon took was not my package. She said Amazon just takes pictures of any package and sends that out, and says since it wasn't logged in by the staff member who received it, it was never delivered. Amazon does not drive to a business to take photos of a package just to send it to a customer and say it was delivered just to get money. The receptionist handled this very poorly and I will speak with a manager tomorrow and give ya'll an update. read more

Room was clean enough and the bed was comfortable, but the pool and jaccuzi were dirty and full of sand and bugs. The shuttles to theme parks is a nice bonus and one of the reasons we booked here in the first place. Meliá charges a $30+/day "resort fee" for use of their pool, shuttle, and two free bottles of water - ridiculous. While visiting the jaccuzi, there was a group of teen-20s boys hanging out there who were NOT staying at the hotel; they were discussing which local hotels and resorts had the best pools and didn't check if you just pulled into the parking lot and walked in. This made me concerned about leaving my personal items near the pool while I used it, if anybody can just walk in. The safe in our room wasn't working, so I didn't feel comfortable leaving my valuables in the room. The ice machine in our building (one per building) was also not working, with a sign saying to use the ice machine in "another building" (there are 4). While the shuttle service was nice, they only offered two pickup times from the Disney parks 8:45-10:00pm. We are adults not visiting with kids and didn't need to stay so late, so we ended up getting an Uber back. Onsite restaurant The Wilson is absolutely not worth it; we saw several guests using DoorDash. We stay in Orlando frequently, but won't choose this hotel again. read more

This is an update to my earlier review. Mackenzie and Valerie of the Melia Hotel took my concerns seriously. After investigating what happened they communicated that the Amazon package was refused by the hotel due to damages, and their policy is to refuse damaged packages so that the Hotel isn't blamed. Although this can frustrate a guest, I understand why. They also implemented a procedure to document packages that they refuse so that other staff members can be informed thus avoiding a conflict such as I experienced. I was impressed with their focus on a solve for future instances and how quickly Valerie identified this as something that needed her attention. The receptionist I had issues with, I have no doubt, is a good employee. She young and beginning her career in the hospitality industry and, although she was frustrated and lacked composure, her heart was in the right place because she felt she needed to defend Melia, but that isn't something she has the skillset to do effectively... yet... but I have no doubt that she will acquire the training she needs to elevate her skillset. The other receptionist did well and was able to separate her internal feelings from the situation and kept her focus and composure on service. To the management of Melia I would offer that Valerie and Mackenzie demonstrated their committment to service and that implementing procedures to correct this from happening again should be commended and recognized. They represent Melia very well. To the receptionist I had issues with I would offer that this is an opportunity to learn and develop another skillset boosting her composure and realizing how her body language speaks just as loudly as voice. Both have to be in tune, especially under stress. I truly wish her the best and have no doubt she is worthy . read more

I am writing to you about my recent trip to your hotel.  My family and I came to your hotel to watch the England game and sat outside. We arrived nobody greeted us. We waited 45 minutes for some service the waitress kept coming out but did not acknowledge us once. She seem more interested in serving the big table I guess for the tip.  I noticed a few other people trying to get her attention.  I decided to go inside to order some drinks. I asked for the beer on draught that was on your happy hour. The lady served me and did one at $5 and one at $6. I asked her why they weren't on the happy hour price. I showed her the menu and she shouted across the room to a manager can you explain to him why the beer is not $5. I found this very rude and disappointing. Not good service at all. Then she said it was a old menu. Why were the menus out if they were wrong ? I then paid with her 18% tip and no thank you.  We sat outside for another hour and no one approached us to apologies or to see if we wanted any more drinks. As a celebration resident I find your service very disappointing. This was my first visit.  I will be interested to hear your response. read more

Let's start by saying the issue started at check in :( My boyfriend had gone to visit his daughter and had made a reservation and was charged in full . Upon arrival they charged him AGAIN supposedly to use the amenities. WHAT ?? Isn't that included with every hotel on earth ? Not to mention that they had already charged him . He requests a manager and Valerie comes along only to give him an ATTITUDE that he has not paid in full and that is why they charged him , she goes on to say that IF he can provide proof of payment she will refund him ( which is ridiculous , don't have computer records ? ) he then find the online receipt with the full amount charged so she says : oh you did pay . Duhhh , first of all why don't you have a better computer system that actually provides proper information in regard to the guest ? Second , can we work on the nasty attitude ? People on vacation are expecting a welcome and not an attitude!!!! Either train the staff for better hospitality or hire someone more competent for the job . The room was overpriced , the food was overpriced as well. I ordered pancakes for my daughter one morning she didn't finish them so I had our lovely waitress get us some to-go boxes. Later on that day I was sharing the pancakes with my daughter and noticed a bug cooked into one of the pancakes. Upon check in I was told there was $108 dollar service fee. However, the only service me and my daughter utilized was the pool which she absolutely loved and so we planned to enjoy the pool all day for her birthday. This hotel is a joke. It's dirty, poorly run, and doesn't even have working lights in the bedrooms. The lobby looks super nice-- great! Then we got to our room and there's literal gunk built up on the floor to the point where we didn't even take off our shoes or feel comfortable showering. Then we finally get ready for bed and the pool is so loud I feel like I'm inside the speakers from in my bedroom at 10 pm. We're getting ready for bed and you can't turn on any of the lamps on one side of the room. So there's 1 lamp to light the entire place while you feel like you're being pounded over the head with music. I left a kind review at first on Google, and the owner decided to tell me that if I expected a clean room (at a four star hotel), I should have spent more on their suites that they only have a few of in the entire hotel. read more

I had a pre-paid reservation for a family trip. My husband has had a bad back with several pain relieving procedures over the past couple of years. The pain came back with a vengeance and doctors are upping the game with a more detail laser procedure which will take place during the time we were supposed to be at this hotel. Melia Orlando has clear terms that the reservation could be cancelled but at 100% fee (no refunds). I pleaded with them to consider and they internally discussed what had happened to us. They did refund us 100%. I will never forget this because I know they didn't have to do that. I can't wait for my husband to get well because we will get to this hotel hopefully soon. VERY DISSAPOINTING. This Place Should Be a 2 or 3 star Hotel. This "motel" is run by a group of 20 year old's that are running from issue to issue. The rooms need to be redone BIGTIME. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Beds are like rocks, the leather couch cushions flat, no couch pillows , BARE MINIMUM. No Dish Rag ,Kitchen Soap or Paper Towels, but for $5.00 they will sell it to you! $350.00 room and they are nickel and diming for $5.00? We were there for the Make a Wish Foundation Car Show. Restaurant was awesome (as it is not owned by the hotel) BUT they closed the Pool Saturday at 10 am for a 5 pm Wine and Art Show because the manager(s) left at 2 pm. LOL. on Sunday we could not use the Hot tub because it was 1/2 full and spraying all over the place. Called the front desk . Called again.No one came over a 2 hour period. BAD MANAGEMENT- STAY AWAY. Lots of Foreign Tourists will fill it as they don't know any better. read more

Rooms are nice it the quality control is terrible. We had no batteries in our remote for the tv, ice machine didn't work and the coffee machine didn't work in the room. I went to the lobby and there was no coffee at 6am because the restaurant wasn't open. After convincing the front desk clerk that there was coffee brewed in the restaurant he went and found someone and they wanted to charge me $5 for the coffee. . Finding this place is particularly difficult, especially because they share a big parking lot with another big parking lot for another lodging place. Good service at front desk and the eating area, easy parking. Good quality of rooms, they had appropriate amenities of hand soap, shampoo, linens, hairdryer, moisturizer. The food is consistent and edible the 3 days I had breakfast there - so very thankful for that! There are 3 different parts to operating the shower, making it unnecessarily inefficient to operate - so be patient trying to figure out how to operate it. Though it's in Kissimmee, the traffic isn't horrible whether on weekend or weekday in getting to Orlando... But I didn't get to stay here on Friday or Saturday so I can't speak to those days. Would stay here again. Power outage happened one of the days I stayed here for over 2.5 hours - risky for fridges for food quality and for those with medical supplies in them. Came back on at about 739am though just in time for the start to a day lol. read more

I bought a day pass on Resort Pass for $25 to use the pool and ofc I wanted food too. The check in was a bit difficult, the front desk male had a shady attitude and wasn't clear when addressing certain things. I understand working front desk can be extremely hard (I know, It's my job too) however if he had just taken a chance to breath and read the info that was handed to him our check in would've taken less than 5 mins as opposed to 10 mins. Once we got in, it was happiness all around. I ordered a burger and fries. A pitcher of water and got myself ready to being either tanned or roasted! My friend enjoyed her time too. As soon as I got in the pool, I too, was exercising with the aquatic trainer. Then an hour later there was a DJ & he was turning up! I loved his jams and then this lady comes up to us and says "Hey darlings... there's free mimosas! You better get you some!! They're good, I had 6" & she was definitely a hoot! Loved her energy and everyone around us. We stayed for 4 hrs and went home. I definitely will be back. read more

We stayed at Meliá Celebration from 04/11/25 to 04/18/25, choosing this hotel because it's close to Disney World and the Celebration area is lovely. The photos on their website look very nice, but the reality is different. The hotel has one good feature: the parking is free. The food at the restaurant is disgusting. On the first day, we had lunch and ordered a pizza and a salad bowl. The pizza was so salty we couldn't finish it, and the salad was inedibly spicy. I had to return it. I gave one star because they gave us a room at 6:00 AM upon arrival without extra charge, but the experience wasn't good. The room's furniture was old, the safe didn't work, and the dresser was completely broken. I pinched my hand while opening one drawer, and the phone didn't work. I had to go back to the front desk to ask them to fix the problems. I spoke with Mrs. Mery. She wasn't happy with my complaints and said she couldn't change my room but would send someone to fix the issues, asking me to wait the whole afternoon, which was unbelievable. After an hour, they sent someone to supposedly fix the safe, but unfortunately, it still didn't work. The person said the dresser was so old it couldn't be fixed and needed replacing, which they didn't do. Eventually, I went back to the front desk. After waiting 30 minutes, a nice lady showed up, explained the inconveniences, and immediately changed my room. Although everything worked in the new room, the dresser was still very old and unusable. The cleaning was inadequate--they just made the beds without changing the sheets or vacuuming. I could see dirt in the fan, like half an inch thick. Not recommendable. The hotel is in a good location but poorly maintained. For $2,150, it's not worth it. read more

SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS The fire alarm went off two nights in a row, once at 6:30 a.m. and again at 4:45 a.m., each time for several minutes. Trying to obtain a refund through Expedia, but even Expedia said they weren't able to get through to the hotel. For a place that's rated this high, you would expect decent communication. This is a good looking hotel with comfortable beds, decent service, free parking, close to Disney and the I4. We stayed for two nights over a weekend in the summer. The place felt reasonably crowded, but the staff worked to keep things moving. We had a one bedroom suite. It came with two queen beds and a sofa bed. It was a good size and more than enough for the four of my family (two adults, two young kids). The bathroom was big, although the tub was rather shallow, and the water pressure in the separate shower was the worst I've experienced in the US (the water pressure in the tub and the sinks was actually good, so I don't know why the shower had such poor pressure). The kitchenette was complete, and I appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave when traveling with kids. Randomly, there were only three bath towels provided, despite the reservation being for four people. Also, they only put two pillows per bed, and the closet does not have enough pillows/sheets to make up the sofa bed (just one pillow, a single sheet, and a ratty blanket). It took about an hour for housekeeping to send over an extra sheet and pillow. Everything felt pretty clean. There was no housekeeping during our short stay, but that was fine. There was a snafu when I checked in. They gave me the kids to a room that was already occupied. Thankfully the occupants didn't hear me open the door and gasp before quickly exiting (we're in Florida, you never know who'll be on the other side), and the matter was quickly resolved, but after a long day, I really didn't want to have to deal with this mistake while pushing a stroller and lugging heavy bags. There is a restaurant on site. It is decent. There is also a full bar (we got a couple free beers upon check in), and free snacks in the lobby periodically. Room service is available, which uses the same menu as the restaurant. The pool is a decent size, and the kids absolutely loved it. Parking is ample and free. read more

If you want the cherry on top type of hotel when it comes to your vacation this is it!! This hotel checked all the boxes from getting there it is super easy to find in what it has to be the most beautiful town of Celebration. The lobby is brand new with great easy to deal with staff. Right past it is the Wilson the food in this place is some of the best I had. Then there is the pool, OMG!! The atmosphere screams relax. In the center of the hotel there is this circular pool with water basketball for the kids some water volleyball and a little output in what it looks like an island. The staff have events always going with either life bands or DJ at nights. Order drinks and food right to you makes it great aster along park day. Speaking of park this are right next to Disney. The rooms were very clean with lots of space. The beds are super comfortable and pillows I wish I took one . Everything is this place left us super happy. Very upset with Melia after this and will never book with them again. Buckle in because I'm done. Due to sudden weather conditions, my flight was canceled and I couldn't make it for check in on my very first day. After calling Melia to inform them of my flight cancelation/rescheduling (to the next day of original date) the night staff was understanding but explained I would be charged for the original date. They mentioned customer service would be the point of contact to dispute my first day of the reservation and that they would include a note of my delayed check-in in my reservation. Contacted customer service and explained the issue, they pointed me to the physical hotel to fix this issue. Might I also mention, they were quite rude and spoke to me with a pretentious attitude (shout out to Steve at Melia customer service). Came in the next day after my flight finally came through and explained my situation in person once again at the hotel (morning staff), and was told me there was nothing they could do. I then find out Melia put me down as a no-show after calling to let them know I couldn't make it that first night for my check in because, again, the thunderstorm kept my flight from leaving. They never said they were going to cancel my reservation over the phone by the way. So fun surprise when I arrive. The front desk then told me that Melia customer service should be the ones to handle that. Keep in mind, customer service said the hotel would deal with this. Apparently they expect me to control the weather in order to give them a 72 hour warning that says in their policy. So let's hope no one who books with them has an unforeseen accident the night before thier check in. MELIA won't care about that. Then blame you for not knowing better, you the silly customer who's booked them a month in advance. After rebooking on the spot because where else was I suppose to go without a car and our first planned event starting in 3 hours, our room was not worth almost half grand for 2 nights 3 days. A Quinta or Motel 8 would've been on the same standards. Look at the pictures. Stained curtains and bedsheets, crumbling paint on the door? Holes in the curtain. A HAIR in the new, folded up towels left my housekeeping? EW. I wish I was kidding here. I know their locations in Latin America are amazing. Someone who's paid a lot of money for their membership recommended me this place because of it and I'm so disappointed in MELIA Orlando. The front desk staff in the morning, manager included unfortunately, washed their hands of the situation. I know it's the hotel policy and not their fault, but yikes. The insincere looks were tough. If their maintenance is anything to go by, the staff are clearly not paid enough to care lol. They honestly looked at me like I should've known that the weather was going to turn into flooding conditions where I came from and predicted the canceled flight. Maybe they can predict this review then lol. The food vouchers for the breakfast are not really worth it if you're thinking about that. An extra 100 ? Please just Ubereats, it'll be cheaper and quicker. The food was good but not worth the extra 100 LOL. Soggy French toast, anyone? Pool was nice if you were going for that, but just keep in mind, if this is how they keep the rooms inside, imagine how they keep the pool outside. I see all the great reviews this hotel has and I wonder how??? Anyways, I'm glad to be out of here and never coming back. Good luck to those who want to take the risk. Stayed here with my boyfriend for one night. Although short, we really enjoyed our stay here. The pool is very nice from 1 ft to 5 ft and open until 11pm - it can get pretty busy there up until closing. There is a shuttle to and from Disney World parks. Self parking. There is a nice restaurant and bar downstairs. Remember to bring your own toiletry such a q-tips, etc. read more

Gorgeous, inexpensive resort 5 miles from Disney World and Disney Springs with 1 or 2-bedroom suites. The 2-bedroom suite has 2 Kings and a sleeper sofa, to sleep 6 if necessary. Fun 360 degrees swimming pool with all kinds of games available in and around the pool. This place is fun for kids and adults. There is also a bar/restaurant on property. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and happy to go the extra mile for your satisfaction- from the front desk staff, to Edwin at the bar, to the maintenance managers and Marcela in housekeeping. Okay here we go... Entrance to the hotel is lovely, very nice building. We were able to get an early check in around 2pm and we hung out and had food and drinks by the pool. Food and drinks were both very good. I love that your wrist band is your key code for everything and you receive complimentary cocktails once a day. The rooms.... Not great. The furniture is all extremely beat up and used. The pull out couch is awful, the couch itself sags. The kitchen has everything you need but I do mean bare minimum. Tiny bowls no actual larger serving dishes. Four glasses four coffee cups. My work station power doesn't work and the plugs and everything in the room are extremely outdated and cheap. No USB ports just standard plugs. Bed is not great and nothing is more frustrating than not having a fitted sheet, they use a loose sheet that not big enough so I'm sure I'll be waking up on a mattress at one point. I was also extremely disappointed by the shuttle schedule. This is one of the only places that offers free self parking and free shuttle (no surcharge) but it literally comes twice in the morning and twice at night that is it. For the price, location and what they offer it's not bad, especially if you're not going to be in your room much but this place needs to spend some money and upgrade their furniture for sure. They said they changed it, I got an email with the changed date but they never refunded the $555 overage for the days that i wasn't there and they confirmed. Criminals. Criminals. Pretty good has shuttle for a couple of theme parks but they used to have a plan where you would get free charging for an electric car and free minibar but when I arrived I found out that they took it out 4 months ago when I booked 2 months ago they gave me a 30$ gift card for the fee and they didn't have anything to fix that. We booked here for the UCA Nationals Cheer Competition for 3 nights. The hotel is super dated. But, it's clean and the staff is friendly. I don't really qualify this as a resort, but an overpriced hotel when you add in the resort fee of 30.00 a day. The pool view is nice. The standard room is small, with a fridge, a rolling chair and a regular chair. A safe in the closet. No microwave, which is weird because the premium rooms have a whole kitchen. I don't care for rooms with adjoining doors, especially if you're not beside family, and unfortunately, this was our stay. There's laundry facilities on site. $3 wash/$3 dry. Great quality! There's a restaurant on site that we didn't try. Ice machines are located on the 2nd floor and vending machines throughout the establishment. Free parking on site. They provide you with wristbands that are your door and room keys...that was neat. It hasn't been a bad stay, but we do have another night left. Pics to come. read more
