If I could give negative stars I would. I am positive the good reviews for Maid Brigade have to be fake. Unfortunately, I fell for them and booked maid brigade to deep clean my house after I had been unable to for a few weeks. A couple of things to note: they charge hourly so they take their time "cleaning" just to make the cleaning cost go up. I paid $50 extra to have my refrigerator detailed and this woman was literally working in the refrigerator for 3 hours straight. While this drove up the price, the fridge was somehow dirtier than before!! I have an 1100 sqft house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and they charged me $575 to have it cleaned. This is insane. It also didn't even feel like it had been cleaned. I am expecting a baby and can't believe we wasted almost $600 on this. I implore you not to fall for this!!! Pictures included. read more

If you use this housekeeping service for a deep clean of your house beware. I spoke with adam on the phone about having their service deep clean my parents house while house sitting as it was in desperate need of a cleaning. I was told i would be sent a quote through email and be followed up with through text/call before the date scheduled for cleaning. Neither happened, and their cleaning service showed up at 8:55AM two weeks later with no confirmation. I met with the housekeepers when they arrived and explained how I received no follow up from the company and stupidly decided to allow them to clean only the downstairs after speaking with the receptionist. They started cleaning the house at 9:25AM and I found out after the fact that each person cost 75$/hr. They sent 3 house cleaners and said they cleaned for 2 hours. (Which was not the case) It was never disclosed on the initial (and only contact) booking how they priced their services. I was quoted a price for a deep clean of the entire house. For a $500 cleaning of 1000sqft with three people cleaning, you would expect the area to look spotless. That was far from the case. I paid $500 for vacuuming. No deep cleaning as promised was done and their cleaning supplies destroyed the appliances. We ended up needing to clean even more after the housekeeping by this service. If you would like to be scammed that is the only reason to use this service. $75 an hour per a house keeper is the highest rate in San Diego and they will not tell you they are sending THREE people beforehand. If you decide to use this company make sure you ask how many people will be cleaning, how many hours they expect to be there, and watch to make sure they're actually cleaning the entire time. read more

Pay more attention to detail. Used this service and found a dirty oven, stove top, Microwave door with finger prints, dirty windows with water spots and drawers and cabinets not cleaned. Also the drawer under the oven was dirty. Under the fridge was dried blueberries and a ton of lint. read more

We have been using Maid Brigade for a few months now and have been pretty happy with the cleanings they have provided. However, this past month they just knocked it out of the park. Our shower floor was getting a bit darker, even with using a spray after every shower. When I checked it this time, it was immaculate...all stains gone, looking like brand new. They also cleaned the mirror closet doors, sliding glass doors from dog nose prints. They also wiped down dirty walls from the dogs. Needless to say, we were extremely pleased with Angelica & Jaclyn's work in the house. We hope we are lucky enough to get them here again as we will continue using Maid Brigade. Thank you! read more

Brandon, the problem was not that Maid Brigade uses an hourly business model or with the quality of the cleaning. Our problem is that charging by the hour was not disclosed and was not what we agreed to, and that the team unnecessarily ran up the clock (spending a lengthy amount of time dusting vertical cabinet doors that don't accumulate dust? Really?) and then said they had exceeded their allotted time and had to charge extra. Other cleaning services (e.g. Molly Maids) charge per cleaning and not by the hour, nor had Maid Brigade ever charged by the hour in the several years we had been using them. If you agreed to pay by the hour, great, but Adam initially said he would stick with what we had been paying previously per cleaning (because, he said, I was the first to respond to his ad), then he came to our house, asked if we could raise the price per cleaning, and we agreed to the higher price as an accommodation. Then he wouldn't honor that price. Because the quality of the cleaning was good, I'll raise my rating to two stars, but I am not happy for the reasons I stated. I'm sure he will say it was all a misunderstanding. If so, he needs to be up front and communicate clearly in order to avoid such misunderstandings, and his cleaners need to exercise better judgment to avoid exceeding their allotted time. read more

Was excited to use this business to deep clean my house. It seemed super promising when Adam was explaining how they use non-toxic cleaning products, hepa air filtered vacuums etc to clean homes. Sadly, it the worst cleaning job I've ever experienced, honestly embarrassing for this company to even call themselves a cleaning company. I felt bad confronting the cleaners about the most basic things while they were at my home that should have been cleaned like the ceiling fan, scrubbing the showers, kitchen? Etc. The weirdest part aside from the not doing their job cleaning my home was they actually made it dirtier with their cleaning products. There was huge white spots on my wood floors, and everything that was glass or mirrors was all smudged looking. Basically all they did was vacuum and do a quick wipe down. This doesn't even constitute to a weekly clean let alone a "deep clean". Plus their "cleaning products" are garbage and don't clean!! I called Adam directly after the cleaners left my home letting him know the problem how nothing was actually cleaned properly, and for almost $400 it was a joke. He sent cleaners back the next day. I thought great, this will be fixed. Sadly no. Nothing was fixed. I had to ask them multiple times to clean the backsplash of my sink in the kitchen, which you'd think was a no brainer when cleaning a home. The girl still didn't do it and then gave me attitude telling me they were only sent for 20 minutes and after that time would be charged hourly again?? Which is funny because weren't you having to come back to fix the problem that your cleaners didn't do correctly the first time??? And they're still not doing their job. Side note- the employees were rude also. They had attitudes when I asked them to clean things they keep avoiding which was another huge issue. I don't think this company could get any worse! This was the biggest joke of a cleaning job, joke of an owner and scam of a business!!!! DO NOT USE THEM! read more

Fantastic service at a reasonable price considering high-attention to detail and the fact that this was a deep clean. We had a few people show up and they did an incredible job cleaning our 3-story townhome. Carpets haven't been this soft since we moved in! They've been amenable to feedback. They send different teams of cleaners most times, and they all have consistent quality! Occasionally I am there when they are; they're nice and work around me. The cleaners come biweekly for me -- with minor maintenance on my end in the bathroom and kitchen, it stays clean until they return (We don't have pets.) If I travel, I skip a cleaning. Some things are not included in regular cleans, but can be upon request. (For example, they typically don't dust electronics unless asked, and they clean under my lace tablecloths if I remove them.) They also sent out a suggested cycle of deep cleaning with price ranges. They recently increased their prices after keeping them static for a long time, and it was a reasonable increase that was communicated well in advance. They give us regular schedules and touch base before each cleaning with an estimated time of arrival. It varies a bit and sometimes they come outside of the estimates, but always in the morning as requested. My favorite part: the displays they make of the stuffed animals. read more

My Husband and I used the Maid Brigade, Carlsbad cleaning service for our home and WOW, was so impressed with the amazing job they did! We have a 4 bed 4 bath tri-level home, with carpeted stairs two cats and a dog so you can imagine the mountains of fur we deal with on a regular basis. All of the pet hair was cleaned and my carpets have never looked better. Our carpets are even fluffy and plush again from the super powered vacuum they use. They cleaned the ball marks from playing with our dog off our walls and my counters and floors were sparkling. We go to the beach often and they got all the sand and grime out of our showers (something I always put off myself) The cleaning supplies they use are eco friendly which is important to keep our pets healthy. They also reduce plastic waste! The maids were incredibly kind, cheerful and excited about the environmental impact they are making. Thank you for reducing stress for our family and making us feel comfortable and at ease at home. Without a doubt we will be using Maid Brigade again for all our future cleaning needs. read more

The girls showed up on time ready to work!!! I'll admit my house was not the picture of tidy and clean, and I was slightly embarrassed, but the girls didn't bat an eye and got right to work!! They were very aware of the details while cleaning and left nothing undusted or dirty. I was so impressed! The price was fair and in sync with other cleaning services I have used, but their professionalism left them a step above the others. we hired Maid Brigade for a move out clean, my husband was clear when he booked it. they were slated for an 8 am, at 10 my husband called and was told somewhere between 10 and 12, again he said this is a complete clean move out, windows, shelves the whole works, yep he was told. Two very pleasant young ladies arrived at 12:20, granted our blinds were bad and did need extra work. They left just after 4, bathroom floors were not mopped, windows not cleaned, shower drain not cleaned. my husband and I spent an additional two hours cleaning. I think the booking department did not let them know this would be a move out clean and would take most of the day. no cabinet doors cleaned nor inside cupboards. They sprayed something on the floor and used a mop, floor was sticky. Neither lady could get out fast enough, didn't walk and go through the cleaning, they left all their personal trash trash with us. No, I would not recommend the two that came to our home today, I won't blame all those other Maid Brigade workers in the same group as the two today. We are disappointed that they felt they could leave not doing the job fully. But again, they were probably not given enough time to fully do a good job. $600 down the drain, we take responsibility for not checking on them, but we are adults, at some point in their lives they will experience karma. read more
