I reach out a few more times and again FINALLY get a text back like a week and a half later claiming she had a family emergency out of town (totally fine understandable) so I reschedule another walk through. Again. Never shows no call no text no answer. Highly unprofessional and super weird. Very disappointed because she was so highly recommended by more than one person. We have employed this service since April 2022 and have received no complaints about our two cats. In fact, the workers were never exposed to the litter boxes as they are in an area far away from where we ask them to clean. Do the cats shed? Is there cat hair? Of course...just as there would be dog hair if we had dogs. I was confused and the content of letter felt as if there was another reason for this abrupt end so I called Sarah Jane and left a message. I received no response. Whenever we had been due for our monthly cleaning, my husband and I straightened everything in the house so there would be few obstacles. In fact, there were some days I cleaned the area where the cat bowls were because sometimes the cats could be a little messy - just like dogs. During the winter, one cleaner got stuck in our driveway. Her attempts to get out resulted in deep gouges in our lawn. Sarah Jane offered to pay for the repairs in the spring but we let it go, as we didn't want to spoil our relationship with the company. Apparently, I should have charged for it as Sarah Jane had no compunction about severing our relationship with no warning. The cleaners did a pretty good job overall but we never got the same team twice so there was some inconsistency with the results. However, we always tipped them. Plus, there were workers who said they couldn't wait to be assigned to our house as it's so unusual and beautiful. I think we deserve a comprehensive response to my phone call. Sarah's silence speaks volumes as to her inability to be courteous to a long-time customer. I warn current and future customers to be wary of Sarah Jane's Cleaning as it appears Sarah will drop you for dubious reasons.

I reached out to the company to get another house cleaned, and was mortified by the customer service skills of Libby. I felt like an inconvenience to the company as I attempted to get quoted, and book a date. In the end Merry Maids was actually unable to do the cleaning. It should be noted, according to Libby, if anything isn't in the quote; be it a small hallway, staircase, landing, entryway, etc. It will be completely skipped over. The quote is by room, not square footage. Halls, stairs, vestibules, and landings, no matter how small, will be counted the same as say a kitchen, or bedroom. I booked instead with tidytroopers who were able to meet my needs in the time frame provided and did a spectacular job. The deep cleaning for the entire house was less than half the price of standard cleaning merrymaids offered. Save time, money, and sanity and book with someone else.
