UPDATE: My brothers, sister, and I bought my Mom a total house cleaning several months ago. Her birthday was 9/11 so we try and keep her entertained all day. We were hoping this 86 year old could take time and not clean before family arrived. I must have called 6 times prior to her birthday to book the cleaning. We recently used Maid So Fresh San Diego for move in and move out cleanings. They were flexible, thorough, and responsive.

No call, no show. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt despite a couple bad reviews. I received a confirmation email from the owner and two confirmations from the online scheduler. We loved using Maid So Fresh for our apartment move out cleaning. It was so easy to book a time with them, and they made sure to follow up before hand to remind me they were coming. Our job was assigned to Bre and she did such a wonderful job. She showed up on time and got right to work! She let us know when she was done and waited until we got there so we could walk through and make sure it was up to our standard. The apartment was spotless and looked great! Horrible! Do NOT book this company! I will save you money, disappointment, and a very frustrating experience. I was going to host my mothers birthday party at my house one Sunday evening. I work very long days and sometimes I get behind on cleaning. So I wanted to schedule a cLeaning on the Friday before this event to help me out. I chose this company, HUGE mistake, and it was a nightmare from the start. Friday morning I had arranged for them to come at 9:00am. The kids would be in school all day, I had taken my dogs to a friends so they would be out of the way, and I went to my dads who lived down the street so that I could be out of the way. At 2:45 my kids got out of school and went home. My daughter calls me a little after 3 to tell me that the cleaning guy was still there, and he had only done the upstairs. He told my daughter it was getting late and he would come back Monday to finish. I called the owner Shelley and explained that I couldn't wait until Monday for him to finish because I needed it done by Sunday. I thought it was very weird how only one person would be sent to do the job anyway, but he had been at my house for 6 hours now. Shelley was polite and assured me he would be back tomorrow to finish. I agreed and it was scheduled to be finished the next day. When I got home from work I was furious. Not only was the upstairs not clean, I couldn't tell which part of the house was worked on. There was dust in all rooms on the baseboards, toothpaste in the kids sink, cat liter on the floor of the bathroom. This man was in my house for 6 hours and all that appeared to have been done was vacuuming. I canceled for him to come back and finish because I was so upset. I not only had an unclean house but now there was no time to have anyone else do it. I requested my money back since the job wasn't completed, and I refused to pay for what he had supposedly done because nothing was touched. I sent Shelley pictures of all the rooms that you could clearly see were left untouched. She apologized, but there was nothing that could have been done. A few weeks later I received an email from my credit card company re applying the cleaning charges to my account. Shelley continued to charge me even after I sent her proof that nothing had been done in my house! I was furious! Not only did this company do a horrible job leaving my house the way it was before they started, but she had the nerve to still charge me for it! The cleaning is horrible, I am still wondering what he was doing for 6 hours in my home, and I was charged for a job that was never completed! When you run a business and your customers send you proof with pictures that your employee didn't touch a thing, the last thing you do is charge the customer and defend your employee. I just got an email from the company asking me to review their service...even after I expressed my complaints to the owner directly. With a baby at home and constantly having to clean I finally splurged and hired Maid So Fresh to come do a deep clean on my house. I was scheduled for Tuesday morning and i was soo excited. About an hour before they were supposed to arrive I got a call from the owner saying her cleaner called in sick and that she would have to reschedule with a new team for the following day. She offered 10% off for the last minute change, and although it was a little inconvenient I was still happy with the communication. The following morning I again set up my schedule around the cleaners arriving at the specified time. About 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive I called the owner just to make sure they were still coming. She said she'd call them and get back to me l, which she quickly called back saying she couldn't reach either of the people who were supposed to come. They never showed up, I was never given any reason as to why, or even asked if I wanted to try to reschedule for the third time that week. Booking was fast and easy, and Shelley was positive and professional over the phone. We booked a one time clean to see how it went, but made it clear that we'd be interested in future booking. Cleaners José and Ashley arrived promptly, and got to work right away. The overall job was uneven. What they cleaned was sparking, smelled great, and thoroughly done. However, I'm confused about what was supposed to be done, since some things weren't. For example, the website says a cleaning will take care of cobwebs. Our master has windowpane cobwebs that were definitely not taken care of. Two of three trash bins were emptied, why not all? In the guest bath our wall mirror was cleaned, but a standing mirror on the counter was not even dusted! Some blinds were dusted, others not. In the kitchen, our counter jars were cleaned, moved, and the counter behind them wiped down. Directly to the right, a spice rack and cookbook were untouched and the counter left grimy/dusty. Our mantelpiece was dusted, but not the bricks in front of the fireplace. Huh? You get the idea: it was a very uneven clean. Shelley told me this first clean should take about 3 hours, and usually first cleans go closer to 4 hours. Our 2400ft2 house was done in 2.5 hours, and I can see why. We'd like to be clearer on exactly what gets cleaned/what doesn't, so we can manage our expectations. Overall it was an ok job, all things considered. read more

Yasmine arrived to clean our newly purchased house to our level of "clean". She did an amazing job! She tackled the entire 3 bed/2 bath house and made it sparkle. Everything shined when she was done. I am a mom of a three year old and twin one year olds. My mom surprised me with booking a spring cleaning appointment for me this week. I was so excited! My house is always picked up but I have a hard time finding time to do a deep clean with three little people underfoot. Anyways, I packed up my three kids and seriously picked up and organized my house, did every load of laundry and just really made it so they could get in and focus on cleaning. I kept my kids out of the house all day which is hard to do when they need naps and came back to find that NO ONE SHOWED UP. Our appointment was at 9am and when I returned around 2 no one had come. I called the number on the website several times, left a voicemail, my mom called, and at one point they just forwarded my call to voicemail. I still haven't heard anything from anyone. Great service and very friendly! I was supposed to have a cleaner out on Friday, but she experienced car troubles. Krista (owner) called and said she could find someone to come clean my house on Saturday, even though they aren't open on the weekends. Krista and her husband actually showed up on Saturday and cleaned my whole house. All the blinds, ceiling fans, baseboards, etc. They did an amazing job and it was so nice to come home to a clean house after we had just had some work done on it. I was needing someone to clean an empty home after new floors was installed and painting. The lady showed up to my surprise with a foot boot for an broken toe. Not sure what to think about that however she did state she was able to do the work. While cleaning we noticed missed cleaned areas after she had finished that part and all she say was sorry all the time. I notice many areas that was missed and she seem to be in a hurry to be somewhere else. I also asked for cleaning of my cabinets, however my wife and I had to clean them again. On her way out the front door I heard a big splash and she had dump a bucket of what all over my wood floor. Wow then she was trying to mop it up fast using her sponges with her feet? I was worried that the floor soaked up to much water and fear for her falling on my floor. I would not recommend them to a friend. Many missed areas and not having the proper equipment to clean my floors. So much for the cleanliness? I don't want to have to be watching someone to make sure they are cleaning properly. She was on time but a 2 hour job ended up taking almost 5 hours. She did a good job at cleaning but it shouldn't of taken 5 hours for 2 bathrooms the kitchen and hall floors. They really should think about sending more than 1 person to clean. A good price but not worth it because of all the time it took for the job to get done. I will recap my experience because top to bottom it was great. I came across this maid service on Yelp. Good reviews and then had a legit website which is a deal breaker for me. The website was so user friendly, i was able to book online with no problems. Jasmine arrived at the appropriate time and spent the next three hours cleaning. It took three hours NOT because my apartment was a mess but because she and her husband were invested of the quality of their work. I really appreciate the quality of work done and will recommend this company to others and come back if I need a house cleaner again! read more

Waste of money. Needed our house cleaned for a party we were having couldn't find anybody last minute so decided to give them a shot, Corners of the floors were still dirty the mantle was not dusted. Only thing that was cleaned good was the bathroom. read more

Maid So Fresh is a fairly new cleaning company around the area and the service isn't probably the best in town but I do like what they are doing. They have nice and user friendly website. Pretty much all the information you need to know is on the website. If you do have any questions you can call to clarify. I really liked how it was so easy to book my appointment, there was no meeting up ordeal which a lot of cleaning services do, which is great but I like how I could do it right away. And like I said the website has specific details of how you would like your house to be cleaned. The service they provided was great, however they did forget to clean my walls and I paid extra for that. I was a little disappointed. So I called and the owner (I think her name was Krista) apologized and said they wouldn't charge me for it. She took the time to listen to all of my feedback and said if I notice anything later that they may have missed (from the package I ordered) to let her know and she would send someone out again. She stated they are a new company and feedback was a great thing for them. She was very nice and professional. I'm giving them a 5 Star because it looks like they are heading in the right direction, customer service was fantastic, service was great, and it was easy to book (did it within minutes on my phone)!
