I was in the market for a new passport photo, & after reading the fellow reviews, I went with Mail America. I'm so glad I did. I sent a Package back to Amazon and needed help to tape the box closed. The owner said no problem he would do it and took the package to the back. I told him thank you and left. I trusted him. Now Amazon is telling me the didn't receive both of the items I was returning. It was batteries and a smoke detector. Amazon is saying they didn't receive the batteries and are now charging me again for the item. I will never trust mail America again. I don't understand why he had to take the box to the back room and not tape it closed in front of me. read more

Went here for fingerprinting and was quick, no wait at all! In and out, and price was better than the other companies in town. Not to mention, no employees talking badly about other customers, like another place I went into and quickly left. The owner here at Mail America was polite and knowledgeable. I most definitely recommend this place. The owner was so helpful and nice. It's so refreshing to see someone who enjoys their job or at least fakes it for the customer. I chose this Mail America based on the Yelp reviews and am so glad my fellow Yelpers helped me with this decision. We used their services for our passport pictures. He knew exactly what we needed. To save time and frustration we used his mail services as well. It was definitely more expensive, but he saved us the USPS experience. He knew what we needed to include with the passport applications and printed the mailing label. We drove from Valencia to Canyon Country. While it is obviously not so far, there are plenty closer places, but I chose the location with the best reviews and positive comments. So glad I did. I highly recommend this location! read more

My review is about the passport photo service. If you need a photo, keep reading! Also a TLDR; at the bottom if you're lazy. I needed to update my passport due to getting married, but I had a trip coming up, so I was in a rush to get the application mailed in. To save money, I was going to just take the new passport photo myself (this is because for a renewal, you can't just go into the post office. You have to mail in your application + photo) Well, I got cold feet and decided it might be best to just pay for a photo from a place that did them for peace-of-mind that my photo/app wouldn't be rejected. I checked out CVS/Walgreens online, but they had subpar reviews here on Yelp, and then I found AAA. I'm a member, so I drove down to get it done there but alas--they were out of ink until the following week. Out of desperation, I went back to Yelp one last time and found Mail America. I made the drive across town, and shoot, I'm so glad I did. The raving reviews here on Yelp, are 100% accurate. I walked in and was greeted immediately by Hamid, who was busy with a couple other clients who were needing something notarized. He asked what he could do for me as the clients were reading over documents, and I said I needed a passport photo. Within 3 minutes he took the photo--he recommended I move my hair so it was within the proper guidelines and even showed me the pic to make sure I was happy with it (you'd NEVER get that from USPS) and printed/cut the photos to the regulated 2"x2" size. Well worth the $15. Quick, easy, and FRIENDLY. Even had a short friendly chat before I left. Nice family owned business. *Additionally, Hamid is an honest man. So rare these days. The people who needed something notarized had an expired I.D., so he respectfully told them he could not sign their documents as it's against the law. Mega props to him for being HONEST and KIND even when the gentleman tried pushing a bit. TLDR; Needed a quick passport photo. Came in and got my picture taken within 3 minutes of walking through the door. I even got to preview the picture before he printed me 2 copies. He cut them to size and only charged $15. Quick, efficient, honest, and friendly. Couldn't as for more. I'm so glad I was able to support a local small business. 10/10 would make the drive across town again if needed. THE BEST one man show in town.... who is very focused and driven to give you the best and lowest cost options for mailing and dedicated to providing the most genuine customer service experience every time I've encountered frequently. Don't know what to do and how to go about packaging, notary, passport ID, or mail services anywhere in America or internationally. He'll have solutions for you. I've witnessed him having frequent customers and a long line. I have never waited for more than 2-3 minutes. Any longer, he will ask for your patience (communication ) and continue to assist and / or direct other people in the store. Went in today to send back a few returns via Mail America's FedEx service. I had both return labels and and product packaged up and ready to go. Hamid the owner was super friendly as always and I was in and out in 5 minutes (while juggling 2 little ones:) Regarding another review I saw: It's a real shame that anyone says anything negative about this small business who quite frankly provides a tremendous service by helping FedEx customers save time and gas going to a corporate location. If you have your labels, even just on a file you can email for them to print on site, and they will ship your product. Shame on irresponsible people acting like the world owes them something even if it's your own error. Will be back to handle all my holiday shipments like I do every year. 5 Stars. read more

Returned back to drop off bulk amount of packages, owner tells the employee do not scan in any usps as they do not scan in and do not claim any responsibility for scanning. I have packages from July that have yet to scan in from USPS that I dropped off at this location. I returned another day to when the employee asked if I would like the packages scanned in for usps or if it was okay to leave them. (Owner not there this day) this makes me feel like the owner is lying about scanning in the packages, I understand when I have 50+ items you might not have the time which is okay but don't make the employee look like they are wrong for offering. Would appreciate some better service here, I've returned to the normal usps location due to 3 times coming here and every time the package has had issues. read more

He was fingerprinting someone and briefly looked over his shoulder said email me the return info as if I knew the email being my first time here! I emailed him the barcode he's like I need the entire email! I began searching for it He's like just go to Walmart! So he's sending me to a location that's closed on weekends!
