Thought that was unfair and just wanted my item back which she refused. She took the box and placed behind the counter. Would not give back until I paid. After some back and forth I just paid and left with the box since I had a business appointment. Wouldn't trust this person to safeguard my package if you paid me. Dishonest, bait and switch, unethical. Avoid this place. Many other places within a few minutes drive. read more

they have improved under the new management and are efficient and nice to you as well, but I had a not so pleasant experience with the use of the internet which they have in the facility as I quickly needed to email somebody and left my smart phone at home,they charge $2 for 10 minutes. I may have used the Computer for 7 minutes or so and when I went to pay, he asked for $4 for 20 minutes and than I reminded him that I was here for about 7 minutes and he refunded my $2, but the issue was not $2, but the fact that he overcharged am and if I was not careful, he would have charged me more. But he was apologetic about this. But in the end what matters is that he was apologetic and took care of the issue and they have improved than before and I would use them again. read more

I agree with the other negative reviews. I moved to Fairfax a month ago and needed to ship a few boxes for business. I sent one package out of the country with Mail Center since they now have DHL services. After I was given a quote and paid for my package, I was given a receipt w/ tracking number/info. The receipt had the name of the receiver as "djasf". I told her that's obviously not the correct info (she never even asked for the name). She kept saying it wouldn't be a problem. After leaving the store still skeptical, I saw her run out and look around the parking lot. I went back in and she changed the name. She wouldn't add my information as the sender though. I've sent plenty of packages abroad and I know security is an issue, so the correct contact info is crucial. It wasn't that hard to put the correct information. Whatever, if I'm spending $300+ to send something internationally, I want to feel secure. I didn't with this business. No name or contact number on the package makes no sense. This store has been here long enough for her to get that right. I don't know why I came back another time to ship. She charged me $2 for using the computer even though it wouldn't turn on...oh and she switched my package labels so they were sent to the wrong people -__- Overall, not coming back here. Tried to drop off a package at 9am Wednesday morning, which is when they open according to their posted hours. The place was still locked up, so I decided to wait along with a couple other folks. I felt particularly sorry for the poor guy who had hauled a large (and apparently heavy) package from his car, only to be disappointed to discover they weren't open on time. By 9:30 they were still not open so I left. Next time I'll just make the drive to the FedEx in Fairfax. It's further away, but at least I know they'll be open! read more

Went and sent a rather large shipment and it cost an arm and a leg to get it there. The rates are not low, but the service is good and she helped me get the package finished up and didn't have to fill out tons of forms. Probably would have been cheaper at the UPS Store, but this was very convenient and I am all for supporting small businesses. read more

I came in to mail a package - usually I go to the post office but this one was closer and I did not have much time. She charged me $26 - I had specifically asked to send it 'cheapest way'. She assured me twice this would be cheapest. At home I punched in the numbers at the Post Office Web site and a price of $15 was shown - so she almost charged me double of what I would have paid at the post office! She also sent the package per FedEx which is usually not the cheapest way which I noticed that evening on the receipt. I had asked for USPS cheapest way. Went there to ship a ground package to save some money from teh USPS Priority Mail Ship feature we use at home for jus about everything. 6 lb package cost $20 to ship, I did all the handling and packaging. This price was not the best but still slightly cheaper than $27 to send 2-3 priority mail. Service was OK. The guy hardly looks at you and doesnt even smile. This is the 2nd time I have been in this store in a month and each time he doesnt even greet me when I walk in. While he is the closest guy for us to come to send or drop packages, they still could use better greeting skills to make folks feel welcome. read more

I went here to get a passport photo and had quite the experience. The woman took my photo and then printed it. I saw the photo and told her it was blurry. Noticeable so and it made me look like I had extra eyes. She immediately got frustrated and snapped "it's not blurry". To which I replied "I'm worried if I submit a photo of that quality they'll reject my passport" to which she repeated "it's not blurry" as if saying over and over again would make it true. Well the old lady definitely needs glasses because it was noticeably blurry so I just asked if we could take another picture. She said she would reprint the same picture and not alter the lighting. She reprinted it and it was still blurry. I calmly told her that it was still blurry and she became even more unprofessional and rude. A customer walked it and she said "you come take a look at this photo and tell me if it's blurry." I told her that wasn't needed and asked for a refund. She refused to give one and said she'd take another photo. Shockingly it came out blurry. I think she needs reading glasses but doesn't realize it. Regardless she was very rude and professional. I'll get my photos done elsewhere and forgo the nastiness. I'm out $14 but now I know never to come here again. read more

I personally don't mind paying few extra bucks on the surcharge in exchange for reliable service vs going to the post office. don't usually write reviews, but my experience here was so jaw-dropping I have to warn others, and hopefully management will see this. I walked in and asked the lady behind the counter for help with printing a 2 sided color document off a USB drive. The lady there was munching on lunch behind the counter, and vaguely waived toward a computer saying "You can do that there". She just stood there and watched me as I looked for the USB plug, and then after I couldn't find the print option, she reluctantly stopped eating and came out from behind the counter. She said "It's really not hard, it's basic computer skills." I work for a tech company, but I bit my tongue, wondering where her misplaced animosity was coming from. She opened my files and said "Oh wait, we can't print 2 sided". I ejected the USB and started to leave, and then she said "Oh, you can print both sheets out, and then make a 2 sided copy on the copy machine." I did what she said, pressing print, only to find the 2 papers printed out B&W. I said "I need color, not B&W", and she quickly exclaimed "Oh we only do B&W so we can't help you!" She obviously wanted to get back to her lunch and didn't want to help me (or anyone). As I turned to leave, I said "You know, you really have an attitude problem. It's obvious you don't want to help anyone. This was a really strange experience." THEN, she says "Where are you going?? You have to pay for those 2 sheets of paper and your time using the computer!!" I was totally in shock, and shook my head and left (I left her with the lovely B&W print outs too). She shouted after me "THIEF!" So, fair warning... go to an actual FedEx office spot and avoid this place like the plague. I was really shook up from such an odd experience with this strange lady, and I hope she's fired soon so she doesn't hurt their business further! read more

DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER Dropped off package and was literally stolen on prem. They didn't give to FedEx and claimed they are not responsible. "Security Camera's" are not even hooked up, just used for show. Do not use this provider. I requested Fed Ex call them....the mail center doesn't even know the Fed Ex locations that service their shop. I would expect the same for UPS. Do I even need to say how rude they were? Horrible and Scary experience!!!!. I 'm sitting in my car outside the business writing this review. Although I read many bad reviews about the lady who works at mail center, I cannot believe my horrified experience with her. I came in to pick up my package. When I waited at the counter, same lady ignored me like I was not there as I was the only customer. Lady had her feet up and was looking at her phone. Obviously, she knew that I was waiting. So I waited patiently, and finally, without speaking , she put her hand up and picked my ID and a UPS delivery note without any eye contact. When I talked to her about package, she continued to ignore me and did not even look at me. That point, I suggested her she needs to improve her customer service skills, suddenly, lady became so mad and started to cursing at me. I told her she cannot treat customer like this. She said you are not my customer. She even used various F words. When I asked her to speak with her manager, she told me she is the owner of the store and I cannot complain about her. Then more F words coming out of her. I was horrified and questioned why she acted like this. Then she told me I am a bad luck with smile. (?). That point, I gave up to talk with her. Then, she told me to get out and do not come back. I never seen anyone who used that many F words in my life. Since she acted aggressively, (all those yelling and cursing), I asked her to give me back my UPS paper because I was uncomfortable and scared she had my personal info. Then she yelled at me that is her copy and call me stupid. She acted out without apparent reason. I was totally in shock by her verbal abuse . Also I asked her to stop cursing. Then she said she will call the police if I do not leave. It's crazy to think that she can call the police because I asked her to stop cursing and act professional. I kept my dignity and did not get down to her level. I have never been mistreated like this before. I cannot believe this store is a UPS accessing point. UPS please read 40 some reviews and there are a lot of complaints about the lady and her very hostile attitude. My advice to you people, please use a UPS store in Fair Lake, they are normal, professional, polite and friendly. I wish I could give this place a negative 5 stars. There isn't a postal office near Fairfax where I work and this place was convenient so I stopped by. Had I looked at these reviews first, I would have taken my business elsewhere. That lady the other reviews were describing was not there yesterday when I went here. There was a guy all by himself at the counter. They were a little busy so I felt bad for him. He was very nice to me but I think he took advantage of the fact that I was unsure with how to send my packages. I don't really mail packages. He weighs each of my three items. He proceeds to check me out and my total came to $50!! I was mailing three purses seperately that weighed about a pound each. How the heck did it cost that much! Of course, being new to sending packages I paid it with a sinking feeling that it wasn't right. I asked him if they had flat rate boxes and he said those are too expensive and that he would take care of it for me. I actually sat in my car staring at the receipt wondering how on Earth it would be so expensive. I wasn't mailing bricks, I was mailing cloth purses! I walked back in to ask him why it was so much. He said it was for packaging and tracking and shipping. I them asked him if there was a tracking number. He takes the receipt from me and says "wow this is really hard for you" and points at a number. I am disgusted by the sour taste in my mouth from this place. Later I spoke to several coworkers who said that he scammed me or took advantage of the fact that haven't sent larger packages before. Do not go here! read more

4 June 15. Please beware their settings printing are null to go into "settings" and in my case I needed to print both sides on short edge paper but there is no options in the tool bars to select "print" and do what's no ally display into printer options. Their computer have only an printer icon and if you hit print well it prints...all your docs without allow you to manually select what's what you want. The lady wasn't helpful at all, she didn't know how to manipulate their printing settings if inadvertently have set with just an icon. She was rude the entire time and she even said "I was not making her day any easy". She tried to tell me options to print my word doc front and back it had to be manually done from the printer not from the actual computer! Since I didn't want to lower my standards I paid for all the useless papers printed and went over The UPS Store at Fair Lakes. Much better services and customer service there and by the way better prices as well. Never again will set a foot there! read more

Since I live close to this Mail Center (the closest USPS is an extra 10 minutes away), I have been here about 3 times. The prices are higher than at regular post offices, and the service is awful. My most recent visit was the last straw for me. I went in to photocopy passport pages. The lady sat behind the counter on her phone and motioned towards the photocopier when I asked to use it. I photocopied a page and realized that there was hardly any toner. She walked over to take a look, fiddled with the photocopier, and proceeded to photocopy two more pages. At this point, it was obvious that it was not working well, so I told her I no longer wanted to use it, or keep the copies. I was shocked when she began to yell at me (a customer who was been there before), and tell me I had to pay for all the pages despite the photocopier not working well. I told her that I refused to pay for the pages she photocopied while trying to fix the machine, and she responded that the problem was that my passport was old. Really? Not only was it not old, but it clearly had no effect on the lack of toner/quality of the photocopier. Bottom line, who yells at their customer and tries to charge them for services not rendered? Stay away and spend your money elsewhere! read more
