I communicated what I wanted: to cut off at least 15 inches of hair for me to donate then just have her add layers so that my face would be framed nicely. I explained that I have naturally curly/wavy hair and that I don't want my hair shorter than my shoulders when curly. She listened intently and very clearly understood the assignment. I let her know that I didn't really have an "inspiration photo" for what I wanted my hair to look like, but she told me not to worry and I trusted her.
