First my appointment was at 3:00pm, I showed up and they only started at 3:25pm after I kept asking them to start because i had another appointment later in the day. Seems like everything was rushed. My hair wash & the keratin treatment. After the keratin treatment is on your hair, they are supposed to use a straightening iron to lock it in, my stylist was taking big chunks of hair and only doing 1-2 passes. I had to ask her to go through parts over and over again that she missed. After the treatment, when I went back home my hair started to have weird dents and I contacted them right away, to which they said is normal and i should shower the day afterwards & it would be fine. Again i did so, and had weird dents over my hair. I tried to reach out, they said they were off and someone would call me the next day. No one called. I had to reach out again, when i did they said to try using a blow dryer instead of air drying it. Following their instructions, i did so and now my hair is still frizzy and i lost my curls and only have weird dents. I tried so hard to communicate my dissatisfaction and they do-not seem to care about solving the issue, they keep saying that its not a straightening treatment and they made that clear before the treatment (they did not). I do not care about straightening my hair right now, but the least i am asking for is for my hair not to be frizzy. Customer experience is horrible to be honest. They keep saying my hair is not frizzy, so i will attach a photo so you can judge for yourself. I mentioned how my stylist was not thorough, but they said it did not matter. Now i only have weird hair with weird dents that are frizzy. Please note that the photo is WITH conditioner and hair serum too, so imagine how much worse it would be without. Honestly i have never talked to someone that did not even try to fix any problem and keeps saying that my frizz eliminated and thats the end of it. Very weird for them to say "as top-rated keratin salon, we take pride in delivering results that our clients are happy with" when you did absolutely nothing to satisfy your customer after a bad experience. They also ghosted my message at the end. Horrible customer service and would not recommend unless you want to waste your time, money, energy and ruin your hair.

She asked me how much I wanted taken off and after pointing to it, she chopped it off before bringing me to wash my hair. This was very appreciated and i don't know why other places don't do this first, especially when I'm chopping off 6+ inches anyway. This makes detangling after washing much easier to manage and comb through. The wash was very relaxing and a good amount of product and scrubbing was done that I felt super clean. After cutting, she styled by hair by blowing drying it into nice loose bouncy curls and finished off with hairspray. Do try to get there a bit early so they can start you on time. From my observance, they seem to book everyone on the hour for an hour long appointment and my session ran over a bit because my hair is very thick and long. They seem to be very busy hour to hour. You're barely greeted when you walk in, and the overall tone makes it feel like you're inconveniencing them just by being there. I told them multiple times I had a head injury from a concussion and the lack of care was very concerning how abrasively they washed and handled my head. My most recent appointment was a complete failure. I asked for a warm, golden brown and came prepared with multiple reference photos. While the color was processing, I clearly flagged that it was pulling purple. That concern was dismissed, and the product was left on longer. The result was the darkest my hair has ever been, almost black with a cool, purple hue. The exact opposite of what I requested. The color job is all mismatched, the lower part of my hair significantly darker, the roots are sloppy and uneven. When I pointed this out, the response was defensive and dismissive. At one point, I was sarcastically asked if I wanted to "bleach it," which is an inappropriate and careless suggestion for already fine hair. It was mind blowing to have this handled so poorly and then be rushed through a cut that does not look anywhere close to the quality of the past cuts. I followed up requesting a refund, given that this will take months to correct and fade, and received no response for over 48 hours. It's not even about the money - it's about the severe lack of respect. What's most surprising is that this level of defensiveness and lack of accountability was unacceptable, especially after such a grave mistake. Instead of thoughtful adjustment and ownership, the response was dismissive in the moment and silent afterward. Mistakes happen. How they're handled is what defines a business. This was not handled well. NYC has no shortage of salons that can deliver both technical skill and professionalism. This is not one of them.
