This place is NEVER STAFFED. Showed up at 10am (Summer hours posted on the door). Waited at the desk....spotted someone who said she would be right back. 10:22 we were helped. Then we walk over to sign up for LAZER TAG OR ROPES COURSE...neither open anytime soon. They should stipulate 11 or noon (cause one day it was 11:30 before anything opened). I have personally on 2 occasions seen the guy in the winner's choice run both laser tag, winner's choice, & the zero gravity. Pretty understaffed... Last time we came (2 weeks ago) we had to walk from the bowling lanes to get refills on drinks. Then the waitress came around when it was time for us to cash out and tip. Got to this main event at 11:30 this morning (Friday April 13 2018). We purchased an all day wrist band. The cashier told us the bands allowed us to do bowling, gravity walk, billiards, and laser tag from now until closing at 2am. We started with 2 hours of bowling. At 1:30 we go to play laser tag and they say it is closed. First available time is at 3:00. Then when we play laser tag our game is ruined due to the employee who told us we couldn't play joining our game and shooting us nonstop. We then try to do the gravity walk that same employee tells us the first available time is 3:30 AS HE JOINS ANOTHER LASER TAG GAME. Really? Very aggravating. Complete lies and false advertising from main event staff for selling us a bracelet for stuff that isn't even available. So we leave and come back at 8 o'clock when hopefully everything is open. It's Friday so the place is so busy that everything has over an hour wait. We decide to leave and come back at midnight. We play billiards until 1 am then decide we want to do the gravity walk. It's closed for the night. Laser tag? Closed for the night. WOW. Fine we will go Bowl another game. SHANNON tells us that bowling closed at 1 am because they have to start oiling the lanes? We ask her if we can just Bowl 1 game. There's only 3 of us. It will take 15 minutes. She ignores us and starts talking on her radio about an unrelated matter. We wait forever until she's done. I think she figured we would just walk away. Finally she looks up at us as if she forgot why we were there. We tell her that the person this morning told us we could do all the activities from 11 until 2. She says "no, we never tell anyone that" we tell her again what they told us and explained how nothing was open at night or in the morning. She said that corporate advertises a certain way and she can't help it but the advertisements are all a lie and nothing is really open per the hours listed. Shannon was rude, called us liars, and overall just terrible. We gave up and walked out. Won't ever go here again. Back to max bowl where they actually let you do stuff. So me and a friend went for the $10 Monday night madness. And we did our hour of bowling first but they over booked our lane so we didn't get our last 20 minutes which was not a big deal to us. If we needed something she acted like we were bothering her for asking. It was completely unorganized. When we needed her she was nowhere to be found. Waited in line at the cashiers stand only to be told we couldn't buy laser tag there, we had to go to another desk and wait in line. When we got up to the line, they said our 5yo was too small. For laser tag?! He played one in okc and was fine. So went to load game cards bc I was emailed a coupon and the kiosk had nowhere to enter a coupon, and no employees around to help. So we left. Do not reserve a birthday reservation and think it is easy to get your money back. I could make my reservation online, but could not cancel it. I made a reservation for my son, who I found out after the fact, he was not tall enough to play laser tag. I emailed trying to cancel the party. They were more than happy to delete my party from the calendar. I called the next day, because they informed me that's the only way to get my money back. I had to give them my card number then the have to take it to a manger (VERY Insecure) and then maybe I'll get my refund back in a few business days. I'm still waiting. No refund in sight. read more

Fun place. We love the bowling and games, but geez does the service suck when you're at a table to eat or drink by the bar. The food is great if you can get someone to serve you or you order from the computer. It's a Saturday night and we waited almost a half hour for someone to come to our table before we finally left. It looked like 6 servers were in the kitchen just chatting and on their phones. We even asked if we could be waited on at one point and nobody came. This isn't the first time its happened. Awful service. Since there was a 4 hour wait to bowl we decided to crash at the bar for awhile before games. Bartender took my card to open a tab, brought one back....not my card. Thankfully, I got it returned to the rightful owner and caught the bar backs attention before the bartender charged my card for someone else's tab. Ordered a beer, got wrong one. Ordered cheese fries without bacon, add jalapeno as we are vegetarian. Bartender came back asking "you want tots with bacon and jalapeno?" Nope. Fries showed up with a sprinkle of shredded cheese (see pic). Literally. Had to ask for a side of queso. Our waitress was apologetic, it was a very busy rainy Saturday. Therefore, I decided 3 stars instead of 2. Employees have been very nice but seem overwhelmed. As far as the games and bowling.....well it's Main Event! Tons of kids and adults but tons of fun. I hope the service gets better as the area crowd dies down as this is a hopping place for Kingwood/ Humble/ Atascocita....and it appears Porter, Cleveland and all northern cities of HKA. I've been to the Main Event in the Woodlands for years so it was cool seeing this in the Humble area. Originally my sister had her boys party booked at the Woodlands location but when she found out this location was finally open they were very accommodating to switch her over here. The parking lot is huge! Everything is obviously new & clean. The staff was great and attentive. We all had a great time bowling, playing laser tag and the food was great as well. read more

The only bad thing I can say about coming here is it took about 1 hr for our drinks to come out because the bar got behind. This rating is based on service not based on the facility. It is a really nice facility and this was my second visit. The first visit was for a party where we bowled and food was provided by the birthday girl. The food was good but they were slow in terms of service and she had to ask repeatedly for this. This second time was another group outing and the place was not full at all as it was a weekday. The first incident was that the server Ray was bringing 2 drinks for the lane next to ours, and spilled one, at that time another server was taking the group's drink orders. Not a big deal except he came back about 5 minutes later with a towel that he just laid on top of it and walked away. 20 minutes later someone finally comes back with a mop bucket to get it up. So next another server brings about 15 drinks on two trays(we had a large group). She drops every single drink! The mop bucket is still there so she begins to clean it up after we pitch in to pick up some of the cups. I then inquire to Ray could we get some assistance getting our drink orders since it took quite a while for the first batch to which he replies, you have separate orders, I thought it was just one and leaves shaking his head. As a customer I am perplexed as I am just wanting to get a drink. Then I wait 5 more minutes and the lane next to us is getting served again. I then go to talk to the manager Caleb, he said he didn't even know drinks were spilled. He comes over 10 minutes later and sees the mess still there and starts cleaning it up. He gave all of our drinks(sodas) free. But Ray continues to have an attitude for attitudes sake. Not sure what was going on but I think I will stick with the Woodlands location. It might not be as new but all the times I have gone the service has been awesome! read more

Hello. We came to bowl because we saw the $7 all day special included bowling. Then we were told it was per hour. THAT IS NOT ALL DAY. I did read the fine print that stated that could be the case if the lanes were full but we were one of three lanes out of 24 running. Then we decided to bowl a second hour and waited in line for 15 minutes and did not get help until we complained to a manager about the wait. Finally, we were in a group with 4 separate checks for food and drinks. The waiter did not separate the checks as asked, multiple times. He then called for a manager to fix the issue. We waited another 10 minutes and no manager. The waiter had to go back to a back office to get a manager to help him. Yet another 10 minutes and we finally got someone to fix the problem. No apology for our time from anyone! This was our first visit to your business. We will not be back and are sure to tell others of our experience. read more

I went a little while back and had a good time with the people I was with. I enjoyed the summer coupon. However, we took a small cup filled only halfway with coins from the coin pusher and tried to redeem them. There were FIVE workers in the prize room and three were on their phone who refused to help because they were on break and just chose to speak to the two kids working and distract them. Out of the two that were working, one blonde girl looked at me for at least five minutes then came over to help me. She told me to put the coins in the coin counting machine, which I was at for 10+ minutes because it kept spitting my coins out every time, and said that she wasn't going to count the coins by hand. I told her I already counted the coins and wrote the total on the cup, and I understand that some people can't be trusted, but then she sighed and tried to count the coins. During all of this, a boy at the other register just kept watching us and didn't try to help at all. After a couple seconds, she gave up trying to count and someone came by who took my cup and tried to put the coins into the coin machine AGAIN. After seeing that I wasn't lying and that the coin machine is literally the worst, she poured the cup of coins on the counter, counted them, added them to my card, and walked away. When at the restaurant, we waited an hour and a half for our food despite being one of only two tables and the man working had to be found three times. We got no refills unless we asked for them. At one point, the waiter was seen just talking to the other table and playing on his phone. I went up and asked him for refills and it took 15 minutes to receive any. Overall, the service was disgusting and a few games were broken, but I enjoyed the people I was with. read more

This review is for a birthday party we reserved over there. The facility is really nice and modern. There's a lot of activities to do from bowling to laser tag and arcade games. I would definitely come back for family nights but would never book a party here again due to the lack of interest and help from our party host. We basically had to do everything ourselves from passing out foods and cutting cake to even getting napkins from the bar area as we were not given any utensils in our party room. There was some sort of miscommunication when moving to the party room. We had to wait for abit while the hosts were arguing and trying to see what the hold up was from us entering our party room. Very unprofessional and rude in front of me and our guests. The kids including my birthday child had a blast and it's a great family center but would of been a better party had our host been more involved and enthusiastic. Even when I tried to be nice and thank her for everything at the end of the night (which was a lie on my part but just trying to be positive) she didn't say a word and just walked off and I left a pretty generous tip too! Such a great place to bring the whole family. They have bowling, laser tag, a tight rope fixed above the entire ground level, excellent food & beverages, an enormous sized game room, and many other fun things for the entire family. It does get quite packed on the weekends and the prices are a bit high, but for such entertainment to me the cost is worth it. Will definitely be going back and would recommend to anyone looking to have a good time while enjoying great food and great service. 4 stars only due to the cost being a little bit high. read more

This was my first time at this main event. Went on a double date, staff was friendly and the bartender was great. BUT as my friends and I were bowling some blonde waitress dumped my drinks out without even asking if we were done and didn't say sorry when I politely confronted her. How rude. All she did was make a face and said, "well I didn't pour the shot out, what were you drinking". But never reported back. Common curtesy goes a long way hun. I went to the bartender and told him the story then later a manger was alerted and of course I got another drink. But where is the customer service?! The bartender is the only reason this place gets 3 stars. That's just being generous. I doubt I'll come back. 8.19.2019. Very nice and hip. Great appearance and very clean. They have a lot of games to choose from. Lots of lanes with very good screens. Lots of bowling balls available in all sizes. Lots of staff but not very attentive. This is a great location to bring family and friends. Large variety at the bar. The food looks good we didn't try any but it looks very good. Bowling has a cool feature where you can add your photo which is pretty nice. Overall great a great stop. I hope to try the laser tag and gravity ropes next time we come. read more
