Pictured: Relieved consumer of 12 inch personal sized pizza
    Dusty T.

I was nervous. I gripped my husband's hand as we approached the doors. "But... you remember. The rumors," I whispered, stopping him in his tracks. "What if the rumors are true? What if their personal pizzas really are..." I gulped. "The wrong size?" Disturbing stories had reached us, tales of personal sized pizzas that were not personal sized. Would they be serving us tiny little bagel pizzas, one at a time? Would they be serving us a pie the size of a tire? There really was no way we could know! There is only one true measure of the vaguely titled "personal size" pizza after all... and that's the one that's exclusively in my own head. What would I have to do to get the facts... ask the cashier??? My husband squeezed my hand, his grip a reassuring anchor to reality. Brushing aside my hesitation, he flung open the doors of Bytes Eatery and Arcade like it was a saloon out of the Old West. After walking around to get a feel for the place, we placed that fateful order: one order of funnel cake fries, one personal sized pepperoni pizza, and two glasses of water. We topped it off with a midnight lemonade and a strawberry lemonade from the bar. The fate of this eatery (and my digestive system) hinged on this one order. I cannot expect you to imagine the gratitude and relief I felt when I saw that the personal pizza was the exact size it was supposed to be, so I took a photo just to demonstrate my relief (as well as the size of the pizza, which was 12" in case you were curious but were too shy to press the cashier for details). Food quality? It's not the top floor restaurant off a downtown skyscraper, but that's not what we came here expecting. The pizza was hot, the funnel cake fries were crispy and sweet, and we ended up ordering another round: funnel cake fries, truffle fries, sliders, another lemonade, a cider, and a bloody Mary. All pretty good, for arcade fare! And when I checked their milkshake selection and asked if it was possible to mix banana and chocolate, I was most graciously accommodated. "Not at all like the rumors said!" I sobbed joyfully into my shake. The food is good and the games are fun. In fact there's some really inventive two-player games I haven't seen anywhere else. It gets pricey if you stay for awhile, racking up food and games, so keep that in mind if you come. But this is a fun place to play games with friends or dates and I'd absolutely recommend it for a good time.

It was a great experience until we spent over $250 between 3 kids, to have the prizes close early. Very tacky!

Ordered Prickly Pear Mezcal margarita, Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing light IPA beer, cup of Cream of Cauliflower Soup, Caprese Panini on Focaccia bread with Herbed Fries, West Coaster Panini (Ham, Avocado, Arugula) on Ciabatta bread with Herbed Fries, and a Coffee Fudgy Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream to go. Service was fantastic with our server (Will) being very knowledgeable and friendly. Drinks and food arrived quickly and were fantastic - the drinks were on point, the food ample in quantity and flavorful in taste. The Fudgy Brownie was divine! Well-done! As I mention above, the final tally was a bit shocking. Otherwise, a great place to hang out; planning to return to avail of the Mon/Tue $25 Wine and Bruschetta Board special.

[EDIT only to correct to "Postino"]…read more I use the one-stars sparingly, I really do. This has nothing to do with the food, as we never got that far in the course of my miserable experience at this location (not sure if it's a chain or not). Walked into a relatively quiet restaurant somewhat later in the evening after strolling a bit in the summer Houston heat around the Woodlands. A couple of people recommended Postino. The issue arose when I asked for a possible menu modification. Specifically, I was trying to avoid GOAT CHEESE on the meatball dish I had my eyes on (which otherwise looked pretty tempting). The server indicated that they probably couldn't do it but I nevertheless requested this... a couple of minutes later the server returned with the bad news. Apparently, it simply had to be served as-is, according to the menu. This in itself wouldn't have got me to the point of writing this review. However, I, incredulous, was kind of laughing (you have to laugh) and said something like "so I can only order exactly what's on the menu, and the kitchen can't do anything different?" (slight paraphrasing, perhaps). There wasn't much further conversation with the server but within about 30 seconds of this exchange, a "manager" stormed over to the table and borderline-abusively shouted "is there a problem?!". This "mini-manager" as I will refer to her, proceeded to inform me that they could NOT accommodate changes because it would "violate the integrity of the restaurant" ... I of course I also found a bit humorous, and in this state inquired further about what sense it made to be so obnoxiously strict for someone just trying to grab a quick bite about 30 minutes before closing. I'm sensitive to the work involved in running restaurants and serving obnoxious customers, but I was NOT rude, obnoxious, or difficult. Just blown away by this treatment. I was then informed by the mini-manager that she was from LONDON which I assume meant I should accept that her cosmopolitan background and (I assume vast and high-level culinary experience) meant that I should shut my trap and stop being so picky. At this point I was compelled to mention that I, too, grew up overseas and was very surprised at this complete lack of flexibility. Within another 30 seconds or so of this dialogue, the mini-manager tipped the menu over on the table and abruptly shouted, "you know what, I'm refusing you service!" That made it all easy from there as we promptly (while laughing, partly out of shock) exited the facility. Huge disappointment and embarrassing in my view for a restaurant that seems otherwise to have maintained a great reputation - and especially so for the fact that service (and people in general) in Houston tend to be kind and accommodating, not typically RUDE or reactionary. I'm encouraging this restaurant to have a look at the service model. I can't say I'll try Postino again the next time I'm in Houston, but I certainly hope it continues to truly earn its 4.5 star rating, 'cause they sure did NOT when I was there this weekend.

We were greeted and seated where we checked out the menu and ordered a bottle of wine to go with our appetizers, Bang Bang Shrimp and Poke. Our appetizers were amazingly delicious as we picked out our entrees. Federal American Grill was very regal looking from the outside and even more so on the inside. The wait service was impeccable and top notch while the menu was simple American fair. My wife went with the Roasted Chicken, I chose the Chicken Fried Steak and my 15 year old granddaughter picked the Blackened Chicken Alfredo. We received our meals and were completely underwhelmed. Our portions were extremely small but a lot of time went into the presentation of the meals. As for the taste, it was just okay. Even my granddaughter, who is not hard to impress, was not enthusiastic about one of her favorite meals. Federal American Grill seemed to be a bit pricey for the actual amount of food you received and I think more effort went into the presentation of the meal than the actual flavor of the meal. We walked away from our family dinner after having a great time but still feeling hungry. We Just felt like we needed a bit more
