I planned a family reunion with 21 people in attendance. After our main day's outing, I wanted a fun dinner and activity. A quick Google search led me to Main Event. I ended up getting a package deal that included a private room, Tex Mex buffet dinner, 2 hours of bowling, a ticket towards an extra activity (we chose laser tag), and then a $10 card towards games for each person. It ended up being around $41 per person when all said and done. I thought this was quite reasonable because we partied and played at Main Event for 4 hours and were sent home with leftovers! We had a server for our room and the manager checked in on us a few times as well. The food was great and the private room was well decorated and fit us all comfortably. The Tex Mex buffet and something for everyone and we could order drinks from our designated server or hop out to the bar (which proved to be quicker). Bowling was fun - but slippery! Be careful as I had an aunt slip. The best part was checking out all the music videos on the screens above the lanes and seeing the fun animations the the scoreboard played (along with our photos!) after each bowl. We could also eat and drink in the bowling area...which we took full advantage of. All 21 of us (plus a few others) were able to fit in laser tag. While it got warm in there (even if you weren't running around) it was loads of fun. The games we played later were a bit up there in price, none under $1 that I saw, so we went through those $10 cards. I admit I spent most of mine on the game where you throw balls at clowns. Went to Main Event yesterday to celebrate my sons birthday. Made 2 lane reservations a month in advance, got game cards for 8 kids and went to check in early with the bowling kiosk, was told my reservation was good and to come back at 5pm. Got there at 5pm and there were NO LANES AVAILABLE, never really got an explanation other than someone messed up. Waited about 20 minutes and got our 2 lanes. Waited 45 minutes to finally order drinks and food after begging for a waiter with starving kids. Food took another 45 minutes to come and was never checked on for refills or anything else. Tamaria and Eli should not be allowed to work at Main Event and we won't be back to have another terrible experience again. read more

tried calling max bowl in humble since 2:00 today to make a reservation for a birthday party. first time I called guy at front desk transferred me to sales. they picked up and immediately hung up. I called back no answer at all. called again an hour later and was told sales must me out. I said I'd call back. I have tried several times since and nobody is answering. wont let me reserve online without speaking to anyone. I also can't find any information on a manager or general manager to contact. I was extremely pleased with experience from the time I reached out to Main event by phone until the time we stepped out the door. The process of making reservations was seamless and the group pricing was extremely reasonable. When we arrived at Main Event Ted greated us, explained the process of events and went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. The food was tasty & the boys on our team had a hours of fun. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. All I have to say is the service in this place is HORRIBLE. We had to constantly flag servers down for help, go find them when our order was incorrect and beg for water multiple times. I'm all for giving teenagers jobs, especially at a place like this, but they need to give them more training on customer service. Service at the bar was slow because everyone kept going up there when the servers near the bowling area were M.I.A. This is a great place to play games but be prepared for long waits if you plan to order food/drinks. read more

We love main event! The wizard of oz game and Mario kart is our favorite! Sometimes when we need help on the games we cannot find staff for help. This is why we give it 4 stars. Many times I have seen the staff standing around talking when games need We have to give major props to Ryan on the game floor. We come here about 3 times or more a month. We are always looking for help because the wizard of oz game has technical problems often. We seek help from other staff but they are not friendly and do not help. The front desk was not helpful nor friendly. We search for about 10-15 minutes for help and time after time Ryan is the only one helping us! He was running back and fourth and made sure everything was taken care of! read more

Okay so, as far as entertainment goes, I have a lot of fun playing games here and what not. Who doesn't right ? I've been here twice now and each time, my girlfriend and I have had an absolute blast. Now, as far as food service goes, it was very poor. We had decided to eat before we enjoy the rest of our night playing games, so we sat down and waited to be attended to. After a little while, we ordered food from the kiosk available at the booth we were seated at. Some more time had passed before anyone had come to attend us, by then we'd already long since ordered and the food took a bit longer than expected to come to our table. The food wasn't all that great, specifically the wings, and at that point we were just aggravated after having to wait an exaggerated amount of time only to receive poorly prepared food. My husband and I just got back from an afternoon date here and I have absolutely no complaints! Maybe it was because it was in between lunch and dinner, but we had a great time. When we first walked in, I went to the restroom while my husband found a table. By the time I came and sat down, he had already ordered us drinks. Our waitress, Hope, was very sweet and attentive! I will say that the games are a little pricey. We spent $70 just to feel like we got a decent amount of play time. But, the prizes here are way better than the ones at the Woodlands location (which we just went to with friends over spring break). TL;DR-I'm not sure why this place only has 3 1/2 stars. I highly recommend this place (especially for a late lunch/early dinner). read more

My niece had her daughters birthday party Friday they paid close to 500.00 and purchased all the kids play cards. The party room time expired and it was 8:20pm we moved to the tables outside. We ordered our food and drinks and our family was about to sit at the table behind us but the manager told us we had to move to the opposite side of the area but we already had our food and drinks so I asked the manager Keenan if we could all stay together. He said that if they weren't eating which we were and we had drinks sodas and my family had mixed drinks but he made us pick up our food and drinks and move to the other side. He did not care about us. I know Dave and Busters isn't in this area but as soon they put one over here in Humble DO NOT GO TO MAIN EVENT IN HUMBLE they do not care about families and their celebrations. Already going downhill and it hasn't been there that long! The first time we went in May of this year for our twins birthday party - we had a good time, games, pizza, everything was good and a fun time was had by everyone. This time we came (only a month later!) and many of the games were broken and everything is starting to look worn. The bathrooms are gross - sinks peeling away from the walls, empty soap dispensers, empty toilet paper, grime, toilet stalls dirty, etc. Now let's get to the food. Whatever you do, don't order the nachos! Dry chicken on dry chips with a small amount of weird cheese sauce. When we asked our waitress (Ashlei W) if we could have more cheese - because it was lacking cheese - not because we like extra cheese, she told us it would cost extra! The girls' hot dogs were not good - just weird tasting. My burger was good and the side salad was yummy. That was the highlight of this evening. Our waitress Ashlei was impatient at times with us when we were trying to order, but then superslow getting our orders to us. When she would refill our drinks she would hand them to us while we were eating instead of putting them on the table. The final blow was when we were paying and she asked how everything was. I told her the nachos were really bad and showed her that we had hardly touched any of them. Her response, rather than offering a solution... she laughed. That was it. So between paying to get in on Monday madness and dinner, we spent $75. We could have done a lot of other things with that money and next time we will. read more

My son had his birthday party at the Humble location on today. Started out pretty bad due to some miscommunication on which room I had booked. Asked to speak to Manager, Chrissy Timon came over and took care of everything with ease. Chrissy was very kind and calming doing everything she could to de-escalate the situation. I am not the one to typically leave a bad review, but this place does not have a protocol on check. On 10/29/20 my family and I wanted to go out to bowling since we have not gone out in a long time. And this main event did NOT enforce social distancing. The bowling alleys are usually a booth where 2 family's can play and they still kept it that way NOT EVEN 6 FEET APART. The hand sanitizer machines were empty so they had bottles but the hand sanitizer was watered down and smelt really bad. We really don't plan on coming back, but thank you for your service. read more
