Visited Main Event this afternoon with my boys. School was out for the day and we took advantage of it! Had a great time bowling, food was good as always and the wait staff was always nearby to refill drinks and check on us. Raul, the manager, gave my boys and I 3 30 minute free play cards for the arcade. It was so nice to play with the boys and not spend 25 extra dollars for a card just for me. I wouldn't have done it:( We had a great time racing and playing game together. Thank you Raul and staff at Main Event! I'm sure my boys I will be back soon! read more

Hello everyone I want to said something that to me as a business man is un assertable, Today January 31- 2020 at 630pm bring my family off 3 people paying like $100 to have a good time here and the Clark told us that we can play up to midnight if we want to, 1 hour later one employees show upp asking us to leave the line because another people want to use it. I ask to talk to themanager amd 10 minutes laterr the manager haven't show up so I desire to go to them and ask whaats going on? The manager Jeremy was there and all he said that we have to leave the line. I said Jeremy we when all over aNd the only think like my kids is this can you please let them continue play and he just said NO. I said you don't have a happy customer. Are you sure you want me to leave the line, he said YES. I said I am going to write a review do you want me to live the line???? He said YES and don't care about the review. Came here with friends to enjoy a Monday night of bowling for a good price. Only $9.95 for a wrist band that gets you unlimited bowling and laser tag...can't beat that! We arrived around 5:30 and whew, it was already packed! We were able to get on the waiting list (they give you a buzzer) and we just played games in the arcade until our lanes were ready. Like another reviewer mentioned, bowling IS timed which was a bit of a bummer. We played 1 game and the second game was interrupted by the timer. Darn! I was on the verge of winning that one, too! So many people come on Mondays to take advantage of the deal that's it's the only way to keep it fair, I guess. I actually think it's an effective system. But, it does whomp if you're only planning to bowl or if you're planning to order food. Your game may end before your food arrives which actually kind of ruins the experience. Ok, maybe something's in the system can be fixed after all. When our game ended abruptly we just decided to play laser tag which was fun. They have a karaoke room and a place to play pool if that's your thing too. Maybe go to one that doesn't get as busy if you're coming on a Monday. This one definitely packs out. I've been here twice and both times were about the same- sucky. The staff is very unattentive-- too busy gossiping to each other to even notice actual customers. The food and games is way overpriced for the atmosphere of indifference that you get from the staff (gaming area and food area) - the only person that was decent was the bartender :) After two bad experiences, the chances of me returning are a zero. And from what I've heard, I'm not the first or last person to have a thumbs down time! You'd have more fun at home playing Wii or monopoly.... Two thumbs way down! read more

A very busy place every time I've gone in. Full to the brim of all ages: young to old coming together in front of bowling alleys and arcade games. Clean, comfortable shoes for bowling and lots of pool tables to gather your friends around. Service is definitely where Main Event earns its three stars. Hit or miss. One time I came into smiles and refilled glasses; the next my party of eight had to ask for our glasses of water five times before we got our drinks. Fun place but dirty. Nasty and full of months of old nasty food hidden between seats and machines. It was surface cleaned only. Lipstick on a pig. Their motto eat drink play needs to be eat somewhere else, drink and play. Be careful because if the seats and nasty build up looks like this who knows what's lurking in their kitchen. There had to be months of nasty rotten food in the benches. And it wasn't like they were so heavy they couldn't move them. My 4 year old moved them. Watch out. It's dirty. This review is strictly based on the arcade. Highly disappointed. Most of the games are over priced for the amount of play time you spend on them. Added to that many of them do not work and/or just stop while playing. I love a good arcade, and while Main Event is a jack of all trades with bowling, laser tag, pool, food, etc, I'll focus my review on the arcade. The arcade is, well, it's okay at best. For a newer place like Main Event I would've expected newer games, and while there were some fresh games it was also full of secondhand arcade games that should've been retired awhile ago. In the ratio of games of chance, games of skill, and racing/fun games there is a shortage of skill games. While my son and I were there Friday night, I counted 6 broken games that were still active/in service. There were no employees around the gaming floor and I had to search to find one in the prize store. He refunded me credits for the broken games on 4 occasions but never bothered (despite my recommendation) to turn the games off so others wouldn't waste their credits. Places was fun, reasonable prices & we had fun playing pool. We were able to let the kids run around with game cards while we had adult fun shooting pool. Samira, the pool attendant was loud & aggressive. My God. She walked around with a clip board & literally hounded guest. Waaaay too much for us (who are grown) & completely uncomfortable. My son and I came here to bowl. I wanted the lane for 2 hours. The attendant said we would save money by getting the all play wristband and we could play all night. The reality is you get the lane for 1 hour and then have to get back on the waiting list, which was 2 hours long, to play another hour. I feel deceived and taken advantage of. I went to this location on 03/01/2024 to have some fun with my fiancée and some friends. To star it with the front desk girl Jenna, I believe, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She ignored us when we were right in front of her ready to get the day pass (which by the way she did not explained what was included). She was talking to her co-workers judging another guest. Then when it was time to be take to our lane she radios another co-worker and says "can you valet this people to their lane"...hmm.. last time I checked we were customers not "this people". While we were bowling our lane kept skipping people so I went to let them know to rest the game for us and I witness another costumer switching shoes because the ones she had were sticking to the floor. This girl which name I didn't get but she was blond, skinny and had a piercing on her nose replied " well that's what they're supposed to do so you don't slide and fall" .... How do you work at a bowling alley and don't know how equipment works??? I do gotta say they got new games and they seemed to work well. Do have to mentioned that all night that we were there there was NOT a single manager walking the floor. We were there the whole night from 7:30-11:30 and not a single manager was seen at the floor. The. We went to the pool tables my fiancée got charged for the pool even tho we had the day pass! So he head to go and get a refund for the pool tables. The games are fun to play and all, but I do have to say the employees, specially the ones from the front desk are very rude and unprofessional. This place was a nice change of pace. The best part was Laser Tag, or maybe it was the Virtual Video game, or actually the Bowling. It was fun for me, my daughter, and my husband. The food was a little pricey, next time I will eat before coming. The crowd was not bad, room to walk around without bumping into people. The variety of games was great also. read more

Totally unimpressed with this place. We'll stick with Bowlero. It was way over-priced to bowl. We should have been able to get 2 games in, but it took forever for the machine to re-rack. We literally had one person that needed to bowl their 10th frame, when time was out. The waitress never came to check on us, but checked on others around us. It would have been nice to get a mixed drink or beer and something to snack on. I guess she didn't want a tip and the establishment isn't interested in making more money. It's a shame. Was working close by and decided to stop in, the spinach dip was AMAZING, they asked where exactly you want the cheese. It was so good layered on top, order the burger and fries and it was so delicious as well. The burger was very fresh, along with all the ingredients, the fries were seasoned really well. The burger was very big too by the way, be ready to wide mouth it haha. Overall, I had no idea the food was that good here, I'll be back for sure. The only complaint I could say was that the food took a good while to get to us, and it wasn't busy ordering food at all. It's very difficult to find one good quality about this place. The first problem is that you're "greeted" at the desk by a staff member who clearly hates their job. It's difficult to even get direct answers/help on basic things like "how do I book laser tag?" and "what's the age/height requirement for laser tag?" After this interaction we went back to the laser tag check in where we once again had another staff member who was not at all interested in doing even the basic functions of their job-- checking us in, telling us the time of the next session, telling us where the line was, etc. The rules inside the lasertag arena aren't at all followed because (no big surprise) it's monitored by a bunch of disengaged staff members. On our way out of the building I let the teen staffer at the podium know that they were out of hand sanitizer in 3 separate locations. She literally told me "yeah, well, that's not my job." Seriously. It was comical! Added to the staff issues, I also have to comment on what a racket the games are. You spend upwards of $1.50 to play most games which is okay I guess... but after spending $150 on games (for 6 kids) we walked out with a few pieces of candy and some tiny squirt guns. The payouts on their games is really subpar. Perfect example-- the candy claw. For $0.50 per play, a person would think you'd be guaranteed at least 1 piece of candy. Welllll.... not at Main event. My very upset toddler got 1 piece of candy after I helped him with the machine 5 (YES 5) times. There is literally not one reason to return to Main Event and a thousand reasons not to. read more

We just had a party here Saturday and it was completely unorganized. The attendance given was 11 kids and 15 adults. The accommodations given were for half. We were rushed out of our table before all of our food was even delivered, finally moved to another area after inquiring multiple times about additional seating. Then our laser tag reservation was messed up on the staffs behalf causing a 2 hour delay. Instead of moving the next reservation down to accommodate we had to sit there for 2 additional hours with no additional accommodations. We placed an order for a pizza and did not receive that for an hour after inquiring about it. The ability to overbook and not rectify issues at this location is crazy for the prices paid. Our party host was really nice but she looked overwhelmed, the manager was called and still nothing was done. Save your money and throw a party or look elsewhere. read more

Calamari was gross... practically warm and cold when it came to the table and you NEEDED the sauce it was salty with no other flavor but salt and not crispyy fried but a bad kind of crunchy... fries were limp and also not crisp. I was going to a friends birthday. And I told the employee that I wanted to bowl. So she added my name on the screen. Then my name just disappeared. And they thought I was too little to play so they put me at a lane with younger people and with a bowling roller. I'm ten. Jesus Christ! don't judge a book by its cover. Then I tried the pizza... I'm going to be Gordon Ramsay for a second- the pizza was filled with grease. Very nice establishment, the staff are very friendly and helpful I appreciate how they employ the youth and keep them out of trouble but the only problem was the management. The assistance was mediocre at best and they seemed to lack any care in the world for their jobs. I saw a good maybe 5% energy output but other than that it was like watching zombies walk around. When asked for help they pointed us in the direction of an employee and quickly turned and left, very rudely. Will not be going back to this location due to the bad energy of the management and I truly feel sorry for the employees especially those in long term employment. Decided to use main event as birthday party for 18 year old daughter and 7 friends. Was told 2-3 hour wait for events. At least 15 empty bowling lanes and multiple pool tables open. The kicker was sitting at the bar and ordering g a beer. "Bartender" waited only at least 4 others. Wife flagged her down and she stars open mouthed at her with zero response. One bartender for about 250 patrons. Overwhelmed and under trained. Never going back. Did get to save about 200 bucks! Got a canned response that was sent to all reviewers. Modified to whether it was a good or bad one. Sounds about right for this place. read more

This place is fun. Monday evening is especially good because of unlimited play deal. Games excellent, updated and generous with winning. Food fantastic too, surprised how good and the vast selection they have. I would like to see the people who purchase the Monday night special be able to collect points too. We went to Main event this last Sunday for a birthday party for my daughter with down syndrome it was put together by a man named Charlie digs and I want y'all to know that main event not only gave us the party room for free they gave us 23 play cards 20 laser tag cards and pizza and free drinks for the party my daughter had a birthday party and no one showed up and when I reached out over Facebook and was upset my friends put this together and decided to have the party at three at main event and they were so nice and so accommodating I will definitely recommend them to anyone Main Event did it again!! They hosted a birthday party for a boy with special needs! The GM took care of everything! Bowling, food...I can't express how much it means as a mom of a girl with Down syndrome that our community cares about our kids!!! read more

Short story: Main event employees stole my credit card after I failed to close my tab and returned more than a day later to try and retrieve it. Long story: Opened a tab at the bar here and forgot to close it and get my card before I left. It's far from where we were staying so we tried to call ahead before making the drive back in the unlikely event they "lost" it. It's also fair to add it was around 36 hours after our original visit. The person who answered said she couldn't find a manager to open the safe to verify they had the card so they would have to give us a call back. We heard there anyways, assuming they would have it. I walk inside and immediately find a manager standing near the entrance. I ask her about the card and she goes to the safe to look. She returns shortly after and tell me "if we had it, it would be in the safe, and it's not in there." I asked if maybe they still had it at the bar and she said unlikely. I went and asked the bartender and he said they turn everything in at the end of the night. I plan on filing a police report with HPD. Besides this, the service was terrible, but I've already rambled on too much read more

I ordered three pizza slices for my family. They were not proportional. My kid received a slice 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. It was like the pizzas teachers give out on "special" occasions. The pizza tasted good though. Everything was overpriced. It was $67 for 30 minutes of fun. There were not enough things to buy with tickets. We spent 15 minutes looking for a prize and we ended up with a lot of candy. The only thing I like there is Pool, but the thing is that we had to wait 4 minutes for somebody to ask us what we wanted, and then we had to wait another hour even though there wasn't anybody playing. We had to ask to play. I get that they can be busy sometimes, but this is unacceptable. After that, we had to wait like 6 minutes to return the stuff. we had to ask for their attention again when they directly looked at us. Unfortunately, I can only review one time, but I stand behind everything I said and extremely disappointed that Main Event failed epically to deliver on my kids birthday. The one time it mattered to a seven-year-old, Main Event provided subpar service while dozens of employees stood around doing nothing. Will be contacting the corporate office to ensure no child has a disappointing birthday again at this location! This review is specifically targeted to a May 18, 2019 birthday party experience. Based on my experience at Main event several times, I would give the place normally four stars out of five. While their specials can be great for those on a budget, this review is tailored towards a birthday experience. The final price for a party which they do not hide on their website by the time we got out with a Food/party/tip for a 15 kid party was around $650. The experience included a host who disappeared on us multiple times and we're often left to fend for ourselves to get Basic necessities like paper towels and napkins. Bowling section We had four lanes for bowling and that experience was actually quite pleasant. We bought an additional $70 of alcohol for some of the adults and the children enjoyed the bowling experience. I would give their bowling area at least before stars. We had to walk out onto the bowling lane after callingstaff multiple times because were not supposed to walk out onto the line. Our host eventually showed up and politely notified one of the adults not to walk out. We lost approximately 15 minutes on one of the bowling lanes which 1 hour costs $36. Birthday party section The room is set up in a rectangle fashion in order to accommodate enough children, most of the food is actually pretty good! The variety of food included pretzel bread pieces, some pizzas, a few finger foods, buffalo wings. Everything was actually pretty good except the buffalo wings were cold. As mentioned earlier, had to get my own paper napkins from an unused birthday party that had a large stack unused. The rest of the birthday party room experience was fine which we moved to the laser tag experience. Laser tag experience overall was fun and had no complaints. However when we exited the laser tag, our host went AWOL and no information was provided. They had promised to hand out some play cards for the children, but since that never happened we had an awkward departure of Classmates and friends leaving. To make matters worse, our presents were placed in multiple lockers and the information was not communicated. We got home and then we realized we were missing a present. While this may not sound like an important matter, I understand that you cannot reason with a seven-year-old. Also had to find my own assistance to transport presents out to the car and couldn't find anyone or any available carts. The icing on the cake, literally! Our cake was packed upside down and when we got home realized main event gave this to us upside down! Waste of a expensive cake. Call the manager explained everything and that we will not be returning! We actually left a $35 tip but I feel like I should call the credit card company and ask for that back! We had our company Christmas party for about 30 ppl there tonight & everyone had a great time. The buffet served turkey, pork, gravy, mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, sautéed veggies, cornbread, roles, Cesar salad, caprese salad and two tasty desserts. The food was great and many went back for seconds. I would have given 5 stars except I really feel the service could have been better. I found myself going around and clearing dishes and getting drinks. The gratuity was included so I feel the staff should have been more attentive. There was garbage on the floor in every area. I saw managers walk past and notice it and do absolutely nothing. The machine to refill the arcade cards wasn't working and no one seemed to care. First time to Main event and I was impressed! We went to a birthday party here today and it was super fun! My kids want to go back already they had such a great time. I would have given it 5 stars for the fun but the party hosts left the dirty plates on the table when she had us come back to the table for cake. Bowling, pool, big but mediocre arcade, and laser tag are the draws here. It's Dave and Busters, minus the good food and upscale atmosphere. So if you're an adult, you probably won't be impressed. Just had my daughter's 10th birthday party on Saturday night and the experience we had will probably prevent us from returning in the future. 1st complaint - EXTREMELY unorganized. Our bowling lanes were at the complete opposite end of the place from where our tables were reserved. We could've easily just stayed in the bowling area. 2nd complaint - EXTREMELY rude and lazy party hostess. Asking her to do anything was like pulling teeth. And when it came time to explain our bill to me, she suggested that I go get the manager. Excuse me? I'll touch more on that in a second. Even when we arrived a little early like we were told to do, our hostess wasn't really willing to help us get situated because our party "didn't start til 6 so...." 3rd complaint - where is all the wait staff?????? 4th complaint - our bill. We paid for a Tween package for 10 kids in advance. Two days before the party, I added on 1 lane so the adults could bowl which should've been $36 plus shoe rental. Well weren't we surprised when our bill came and we owed nearly $100 just for bowling! The hostess couldn't explain it to me, and reluctantly went to get the manager so that he could explain the charges to me which still to this day make no sense. Even with the differences is tax, service fee, shoe rental, and bowling, I'm still not sure how we ended up owing another $91 after we had already paid $225 in advance. Dryden was by far THE BEST Main Event employee I have ever encountered with. He is very polite, respectful and really gave me that 5 star customer experience. You guys have a great concept. Your bad ass bartender isn't that bad ass when he skips over me several times waiting on everyone else around me before he decides to take my order. I had cash, and tried getting his attention several time but he deliberately skipped me over and it just irritated me. If the bar was full, I would have been ok, but there was literally 4 other guests and a few of his buddies there in mid afternoon. Not my first bad experience there. I love that there's no tickets from the machines and the bowling,pool etc is pretty neat. However, being that you guys attract alot of kids, there should be more security in the lot. There's a lot of loitering, hanging out, making out, cussing out loud and roughness outside. Makes me a little uncomfortable letting my son hang out there. I know service isn't a focus when you already have that target business but if a D B opened up down the street, people would up and go pretty quickly read more
