My nephew had a birthday party here today. I didn't engage in any games or play but i did sit at the bar. The bartender was personable and nice. I was hesitant to eat here because I've never been to a main event but my buffalo chicken wrap was actually better than expected. I liked the flavors but i do think the pieces of chicken were tiny. So tiny that when they fell out of the tortilla, I couldn't pick them up with my fingers and had to stick the microscopic chicken to the tortilla in order to eat it. The Bad: Although Main Event is a fun way to spend a few hours, at the end of those hours you'll most likely be down a couple hundred dollars. The games are very overpriced, and the food is very mediocre. For an average meal you will most likely spend $10 - $15. We ordered the loaded nachos to share, and unfortunately it was more grease than anyone could handle. We found ourselves picking around and just eating the chicken and beans. The Good: The only way that you will ever have a good time here without completely draining your pockets is Monday night madness. This is definitely the way to go. For under $10 you get all you can play billiards, bowling, and laser tag OR you could get an all you can play game card. My husband, my friends and I all love this place. We always make sure to go when they are offering $10 all you can play game cards, or happy hour on food and drinks and free shuffle board. My husband also goes when there is a discount on bowling. It's a large establishment with pool tables, shuffle board, bowling, laser tag and an arcade. They have 10+ pool tables and 20+ bowling lanes. There's fun for everyone. And sure the food isn't amazing but it's bowling alley food, it's good enough. read more

Everything started off nice but I noticed while we were bowling for over an hour that we had no service. Everyone said they had BAD service. When I went up to complain at the desk someone was already there complaining they were waiting for so long for WATER. Went there last night 5/22/21 for my 7 year old sons birthday. Took us about 30 minutes to get greeted and then another 15 to get the rootbeer and tea. Ordered a cotton candy shirly temple for my son and it took another 45 minutes to get that. We went and played games and came back to pay our tab but couldnt find our waitress. Asked to speak to a manager so we could pay and Aaron came over to help us. He was extremely respectful and nice, he offered to take 50% off of our tab for the inconvenience and was extremely apologetic and he asked if we needed togo beverages or anything else before we headed out. I still tipped 20% which he said wasnt necessary but as someone who works the industry i couldnt not tip. As we were walking out he chased me to the door and handed me a coupon for my son and i to come back and receive 30 minutes of free gaming. He absolutely went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and is a great example of great management excellence. Only negative part of our arcade experience was that a few of the games were out of order and the back corner by the basketball machines was almost non accessible due to people trying to have a full on basketball game using the balls from all of the machines. read more

Main event is always a good time! Monday nights are our favorite! We love the 10.95 game cards because we can play for hours!

I'm not really "into" these kinds of places but when my nieces wanted to go bowling AND play lazer tag; this seemed like the spot. The staff was very friendly (for the most part). It is very clean considering how many people and little kids are funning around. We were here on a Wed. night and it was packed! It does seem rather expensive for what it is; but maybe my perception of the cost os off. Bowling is bowling, so I have no complaints, other than the wait. The lazer tag was kind of a drag though. I have only played one other time (in London) and their arena was much better than Main Events. But, I only have those two spots under my belt so again maybe my perception of what is good/bad is off. If you're looking for a place to play games, bowl, get your lazer tag on, etc I would guess this is the spot. read more

One star is generous. My wife, daughter and I came here early this morning to take advantage of the all day bowling, billiards, and laser tag early bird deal. We started out with bowling (shoes not included - that's an extra $10 for all three of us. Seems deceptive, but whatever. The real killer is the bowling shoes themselves. They are specifically made to NOT SLIDE. if you've ever bowled before than you know this is not just inconvenient, it's downright dangerous. I returned my first pair, thinking I just got a bad pair the first time (after I fell down on the lane due to the sticky shoes) but they were the same. They are all that way. I told the man at the front desk about the issue and said that I'd just bowl in my socks. He seemed unconcerned and of course did not offer a refund on my shoes. If you have ever bowled before and actually slide when you throw the ball do not bowl here unless you have your own shoes. It's dangerous and they don't really care. Just remember this isn't a bowling alley, it's just some place where you can "bowl" I guess. Edit: the manager made it right, but I still don't advise actually bowling here. read more

Main Event Entertainment sure has plenty of things to do. However, there are quite a few attributes that Were not impressive. First, the bowling area has very little space for walking and aiming. A few times, it marked my throws as "foul" when I'm 90% sure I did not advance past the borderline of the alley. One time I slipped and fell. People would play a lot better if there is more room in the bowling area for concentration. Another attribute I found surprising is the price to bowl. I'm not from the Houston Metro area, so I don't know what's normal, but they charge you by the hour to bowl which (to me) isn't fair. I usually bowl at places where they charge you per game, which seems much more reasonable. The price they charged per hour PER PERSON sure wasn't cheap. One positive thing I will say is that the employees are indeed very friendly. Our service was from staff was excellent; they helped with a couple of systematic issues. That's what I was the most impressed about. Good customer service will bring visitors back! P.S. the food was tasty! read more

Although we did have a disappointing experience but the wonderful team of managers at Main Event has worked very hard to ensure that they would work on fixing any and all issues to avoid future unpleasantness. I have to admit, the management at Main Event has been very sensitive and "human" in understanding deeply how important our issue was to us. They were constantly in touch with us and helped us in any way they could. I will definitely book my future events with Main Event, and will spread the word that they have some of the best managers I've ever encountered! A friend and I came here last night to celebrate getting our life insurance licenses. We both had the teriyaki salmon with fresh green beans rice and red bell peppers. The salmon was excellent. Worst experience ever!!!!!!!! We had planned to have our 16 year olds birthday there. Could not reach them all week on the phone to confirm that we could come and reserve a place. Their website says open til 11pm so we thought we would be ok to just show up that day at 4:30pm Nope!! We show up at a few minutes til 5pm, they had a sign posted outside they were closing at 5 for a private party. we went in to speak to "management " but when we explained our situation, their so called management was very unsympathetic and rude and said "sorry we had it posted on our website". you can have a great time at this place, there is plenty to entertain you. Pool tables, bowling, laser tag, arcade games, you name it. Kids and adults alike love it. It is a good time. Now for the bad part, dont count on getting any service. And if you are planning on having a party there, dont. You are better off just taking a group of friends on your own because you will be limited on your time, get kicked off the tables 3 times in 2 hours like we did, moved around, and when you turn around and ask for your party goods, balloons, table clothes, etc. they will tell you they are in the trash and if you complaint to a manager you wont get any response. I have been here a few times and each time it has been okay. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. There are plenty of games to keep you and the kids busy. They offer bowling with a ton of lanes, billiards with many tables and also Laser Tag besides the arcade games. The food here is just okay. My advice is to come for the games and eat elsewhere. Late review, but worth the read! Go to Main Event on a Monday!!! Their deals are crazy cheap! $10 for all you can bowl, laser-tag, & billiards or $10 all you can play game card! Either way it's a bang for your buck! I usually go around 6-7pm and the crowd doesn't arrive until 8-9. If you're able to, going at 4 guarantees the best when it comes to lane availability. It starts at four FYI. The only complaint I would have is their lanes are really slicked up (oily?) so it's a bit tough for someone to play if you aren't used to that. Other than that everything is darn near perfect! The Laser-Tag is fun, not as intense as you'd like, but still fun nonetheless. Billboards is chill, a bunch of tables to play on there, hardly ever have to wait to play. The service is great imo! All the waiters are very nice and quick to serve you, constantly checking up on you while you bowl/pool.
