Haven't been to Main Event in years, but I recently came and found that the place needs a lot of work. First of all, the costumer service was alright, the pricing for the arcades are decent, and they do a good job explaining how everything works. What I found was that a lot of the areas that require an attendant there are just empty? For example, the restaurant area had a line but it seemed to be completely abandoned on a weekday afternoon. Me and my friend wanted to purchase some drinks or snacks but were unable to as nobody was there at the front working, and the kitchen seemed lonely with a pizza just sitting there for who knows how long. It was a good thing we didn't purchase a food package as we wouldn't have been able to use it anyways. Then, after playing the games we decided to spend our points and found the prizes to be outdated, bland, and super expensive! I've been to plenty other places that had way lower pricing with better prize choices. We also waited almost 20 minutes to even get attended as there was nobody working that area either. No surprise. We had to go find somebody to help us. The place is nice to have some fun but there are many other places that are more fun for the same price. I think they need to hire more employees, and really make the place feel like an experience. The music is quiet, everything was just under stimulating and boring. Love the options of entertainment here and food options have gotten a lot better over the years but the level of customer service has dwindled so much. I understand that they hire a lot of younger kids and maybe they just haven't been trained correctly but seriously, do better. Management needs to do better at training and emphasizing that customer service is what keeps businesses running. Bowling prices are a little outrageous sometimes but everything else is pretty reasonable. They need to continuously clean the arcade area and the make the dining area bigger or more comfortable for patrons who just want to eat and relax and watch their kids from the side. The comfortable are is mostly all reserved for birthdays so you can't even sit there. Food is typical but the pizza and wings have gotten fresher and better. We're all upbeat people and she said that none of us could drink because we are too excited and she doesn't trust us. We came bowling as a pre-wedding event for a friend and this was really fun to have everyone bond before the event. The bowling lanes were pretty empty on a Thursday night so we took our space bowling and having fun. The bar was decently stocked and the food was pretty good for being an activity spot. We took advantage of the $12 unlimited day pass for one activity. For two people and bowling shoes, we paid close to $38.... We bowled for about an hour and a half. They have an option of bowling for an hour (up to 5 people) for ~$26. Bowling shoes cost $5 per person which is an extra cost. I was enjoying my visit with friends until the cashier named Mia completely ruined it. She was extremely rude, shoving me aside and stepping on my belongings without saying excuse me just to take my friend's order and completely ignore me and not apologize. Good experience for kids especially if you buy the All-inclusive pass. That seems like the best option, even if your child only does the Laser Tag. Do that 3 times, the band pays for itself. Place was pretty busy even for a weekday, but it was the last week of 2022. And that made food service in the pool table area pretty slow. Food wasn't bad, but kind of meh. But you might find and option that works for you though. Good selection of games, but I can agree with previous comments about the Claw games. The claw wouldn't even grab ahold of a toy right on the edge of the drop zone. read more

My family hasn't been to main event in probably 10 years. My oldest is 26 and the last family gathering he was 16. A lot has changed. It is a fun place for all ages however there should be a balance in arcade games as far as age. The games seem to be more geared towards a younger crowd of kids. However we had a blast bowling. The adult drinks are pretty good. I used to be able to order platters of food but there wasn't any items for large crowds but pizza. We had a group of 12 and it would have been nice to order a couple of platters for everyone to share. The food used to be of good quality but now it taste more like frozen food. Overall it is a great place to make memories with family. Next time we will plan to eat before we go. read more

So I left a rave review recently about the facility and my drink. That part of it still holds. I also mentioned that management was apparently screwy behind the scenes, typical with most service jobs. But you shouldn't expect management to get in on ridiculing staff. As I said, my goddaughter works there. She had already been hanging on as much as possible, despite heckling from teammates whose names I can readily disclose. This particular group of girls would whisper to each other any time my goddaughter was in the room with "yuk-yuk" laughter afterwards, one loudly calling out my goddaughter for trying to read her unpronounceable name on the tag as if staring at her breasts, plus other issues, some I've seen the tail end of. But the last straw was with a manager. My goddaughter had been having issues with this manager targeting her and making her do other people's tasks in addition to her own with ample staff. Today, however, my goddaughter, through another team member, caught wind of this manager saying things behind the scenes about her weight, being disgusted that she's always eating (during her 30 minute break each shift) and that she's going to eat up all of their stock. My goddaughter found this out today, June 19, 2021...while on her 30 minute break. Fed up, she received her final pay check that was waiting in the office, and she walked out. This location of Main Event is a great facility to visit. Further, it's a service industry job mostly led by kids no older than their 20s. But given the multitude of issues relating to my goddaughter and some of the staff, as well as brief incidents I've seen myself while waiting on her during the intermittent staff meetings, I needed to put this information out there. I purposely didn't name names for legal purposes. But if anyone in upper management is reading this, the manager's name starts with "M" and sounds like "the ocean." Cheers. read more

Went there with co-worker for a quick get together before Xmas . The place was slow has it was a Monday . Lots of games and bowling was great but the food was horrible and took forever to get there . Plus they made a mistake on my sliders menu said caramelized onions I got regular onions . The manager was no where to be seen I had to go and ask someone to found me one to . This place is truly a place for family fun. We actually had two waitresses. Amber was great and attentive. The other one, I can't even remember her name but she appeared to not want to be at work. No smile, no check ups just served and went on to the next guest. I went to the counter to get my shoes to bowl and there was a bit of confusion. The lady really sort of ignored me as I asked for my shoes. I asked again and she called for another staff member. So I was like ok so I'm not getting my shoes that I've asked for twice. One lady said we working with your group now, but my group was not at the register with me. There was another group there so maybe she thought we were all together. Highly incompetent bartenders. They don't know how to pour a complete shot. Takes almost 15 to 20 minutes to get your drink on a Monday when there is only one person in front of you. Waited almost 35 minutes for a server until I had to approach them to order anything. Service is overall terrible. The food was pretty decent. The activities are fun! But the service is absolute ass! I recently went to this Main Event location with my friend. All of the games were rigged. I had gone to a previous main event in San Antonio where I won a great deal of prizes. I went to the same game I had played in San Antonio and I lost every time. The game doesn't even give you a chance of winning. Every time I was about to win it skipped a block and caused me to lose. I know it was rigged because the Main event in San Antonio actually gave me a chance at winning tickets. This Main event in shenandoah was also very dirty. Trash was all over the floor and there was gunk all over the games. I highly do not recommend this location. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

False Advertisement!! So my friend and I walk into Main Event hoping to do some karaoke and the pricing list says $16.95 per hour... No asterisk indicating additional information or fees. The front sales person informs us that karaoke is in fact not $16.95 per hour. That cost is only for equipment. The actual cost is $50 for the room PLUS $16.95 per hour for equipment AND an additional $1 per song . NONE of this is written anywhere so we ask for a manager. The manager comes and says the best he can do is $25 for the room and $16.95 per hour and $1 per song. I understand the reason why it's not written down, cause it's ridiculous! I've been to plenty of karaoke places and have never seen the room and equipment cost split because it's a KARAOKE room and I definitely have never seen anyone charge per song! That is ridiculous. Please be clear in your advertising. If it's $66.95 instead of $16.95 then state that! At the very least put an asterisk next to that 16.95 indicating that there are more fees.We should have gotten the room for what is advertised! read more

The Monday night madness deal is great, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a fun night, unlimited laser tag, bowling and pool, how is this a bad plan, the only thing they really lack is more games. They have a pretty limited selection but from what I've seen so do most main events. read more

Main Event offers military discounts so when I asked for it the cashier had to call a manager to get it applied. The guy came then looked at me and said "Where's your husband". I'm the veteran not my husband so I showed my retired military ID. He came off pretty rude that even the cashier said something when he walked off. Other than that it's not really much unless your going to bowl, shoot pool, or laser tag the majority of the time. Arcade games are additional to the $20 unlimited play promo. Also there was no sanitizing done after each customer after the IVR games. I did find some dry wipes so I used hand sanitizer from my purse for my family. read more
