I selected Jahnle because of convenient location, free parking, and yes, examination, and eyeglasses. Stacks of eyeglasses in different colors and styles were neatly positioned ahead as I entered the office. The office was eye-pleasing, properly lit, and well-appointed. The staff was professional and courteous. An assistant promptly completed a questionnaire as I provided answers about my health status. She applied drops for the standard Glaucoma and retinal examinations. The tests were conducted quickly and comfortably. Best yet, no sign of vision deterioration and no need for replacement glasses. The examining physician, Dr. Mekel, indicated that I would not need another exam for two years. Although glasses could be ordered here, he provided a prescription in the event I wished glasses manufactured elsewhere. A pleasant experience!

I arrived at 8:30 for an 8:45 appointment and I left the office at 10:20 after skipping my dilation. I have a rare eye issue and skipping a yearly dilation is not safe, but I worried if I did it that I would be there for three hours instead of two. Dr. Nolan went as fast as she could and apologized, but then when I went to the front desk to pick up my prescriptions I had to wait another 15 minutes on top of the over 1.5 hours I had already spent in that building. I was going to be late for a meeting for work, so I went in the back and begged them to just hand me my scripts and send me a bill and they debated with me that I still needed to wait until the doctor came out and handed me the paperwork herself. The front desk is exceedingly rude, and for the record, I had an incomplete yearly eye exam that took two hours start to finish and only because I made a scene. They should seriously be embarrassed of what they have done to this practice.

He went above and beyond by even doing the cost comparison for me when I was considering two contact brands, the manufacturer's rebates, and their in-office promotions. I also love that this practice has the option to text their staff, I do find that to be easier than calling because their phone lines are often quite busy. When it was time to order my contacts I had the option to order through the site Dr. Contact Lens or through them directly to save an additional 15% off. I've been a happy customer here and would recommend it!

My daughter was referred to this practice for vision therapy, the doctor was fantastic but the…read morebilling department and front desk staff was horrible. They did not return our phone calls, they do not answer their phone, they were unable to answer our questions when we did finally get a person on the phone, did not mail a doctor letter of medical necessity to our insurance company and did not inform us that our insurance was not covering the therapy. We ended up with months of unpaid bills that we didn't know we were responsible for. We are happy with the doctor but the billing and admin parts of the practice are a nightmare to deal with. We will not be going back to the practice and we have informed the neurologist that recommended the practice about our horrible experience.

Needless to say - they insisted on putting through me medical insurance - which gives them a higher reimbursement and charges me a much higher co-pay. My prior optometrist always put through my vision insurance. There is nothing wrong with my eyes, but they noted "the start of age related cataracts (that won't require surgery for many years), and other minor things that don't need treatment. I have since heard similar stories from others. Also - their glasses are very expensive. They only had a handful that would be fully covered by my insurance. Buyer beware!

The patient mostly senior citizens and we don't move as fast as the 30 year olds nor do we like to be pushed along. Waiting for the doctors is like sitting in a cattle chute. A one hour wait id not unusual. It's almost offensive sometimes that they want to move you along as if you're not a person. In my opinion, some of the staff are like trained robots . Dr. Cohn did my cataract surgery and treats me for glaucoma. I am pleased with him, but always gives you a sense of time is running out . The faster they move the more money they were make. Be aware, if you usually do not have a co-pay when going to a doctor and Kremer asks you for one, don't pay it. This is the 2nd time I've been to Kremer where they said their computer system said I had a co-pay. With my insurances, I never have co-pays. It's possible the admin incorrectly entered the information.
