FYI. It appears the provider abruptly closed to due to bankruptcy. Case Number 26-12591, Eastern District Of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Court filed in June, Dismissed in July... Very unfortunate and appears there is no way to obtain any medical records now either. Really surprised their website is still up. Shame it was mismanaged and shame that patients weren't notified at all. read more

I drove past the Villanova location yesterday and thought it looked empty. I wondered if they had closed that location and were only in Newtown Square. A friend who I had referred to Dr. Abraham just texted me to say they have closed, and asked if I had another ophthalmologist to recommend. I called: the Villanova number forwards to Medical Optometry America in NSQ. Dr. Abraham and one other doc are there now. I asked if there was a plan to inform patients. "We're working on it. It happened suddenly." They don't have email contacts for patients in 2026??? Very unprofessional. I will return to Carty Eye Associates, whom I have seen for their retinal specialists in the past. While I had been happy with ophthalmologists at Aegis/Abraham for several years, I had a very bad experience with their eye surgeon, Dr. Johnson. I saw him several times for a blocked gland in my eyelid from February-July 2025, including surgery. Dr. Johnson introduced himself to me at each appointment, of which there were many, as if he had never met me before - including the day he removed the stitches HE had put in my eyelid! The issue was never fully resolved, and I seem to have a permanent lump in my eyelid from it. I do not recommend Dr. Paul Johnson at all, in whatever half-dozen practices where he is now working. This situation is unprofessional and disappointing, and I can only hope I can have my records forwarded. read more

This provider engages in unethical/fraudulent billing practice to try to extract more money from customers. I took my daughter to them for an eye infection treatment. They prescribed medication for her and asked me whether I wanted to schedule a follow-up appointment. I told them that I would call later if I need to schedule a second appointment. Three month later, I was shocked to receive a bill for a cancelled second appointment which occurred one week after the first appointment. I called the provider and told them that I never scheduled a second appointment. They said that I made one according to their records. I reiterated that was not true and mentioned that I did not receive any card, email reminder or sms about any such appointment. They insisted that that I told the receptionist "yes" when she asked me whether I need to schedule a second appointment and that she made one for a week later. I told them that I refuse to pay for a missed second appointment that I never made and told them that I will share my experience on social media so other customers won't fall into the same trap. It is a shame that this provider tries to extort money from customers using unethical/fraudulent billing practices without providing any evidence. I will NEVER go to this provider again and plan to report them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

First time at an eye doctor so I don't have much to compare with, but I was certainly not in "5 star awe" as *every* other review on this page seems to be... Reception and scheduling was fine, the front desk staff is very nice. I was quickly taken in the back and given an eye exam by one of the receptionists. All fine there...Dr A was running late, almost 30 minutes, so things didn't get off to a great start...He ran me thru a bunch of prescription settings while I look at the chart and say "better, same or worse". Eventually decided I needed a pair of progressive lenses. I was interested in corrective eye surgery, one of the reasons I went here was because Dr A is associated with Kremer, but he never mentioned this as an option...so I asked. Yes, I could get the surgery to correct my vision, but I'd then need glasses for everything close, like my cell phone, books, etc. So it seems like a pair of glasses is a good call. I tried a bunch on and finally settled on a pair. It's a bit of a commitment as I will have these things a couple years before insurance will help out with another purchase, and being my first pair, everything looked a bit funny on me...not to mention my eyes were dilated, making everything harder to see. If i had a do-over, i'd probably come back to shop for frames when my eyes weren't dilated, and it would definitely be good to bring someone whose opinion you trust. I had mad problems with my first pair of glasses. One of the lenses kept popping out and eventually, I lost it and had to warranty replace the glasses...The new glasses, NEVER dropped the lense, so I think I had some issue with the original pair... I also didn't get the "warm bedside manner", maybe he felt a bit off because he was late for the appointment, but I got more warm and fuzzies from reception than I did with Dr A. read more

From the minute I walked in the door the experience was beyond positive. The front desk staff were friendly, patient, and all seemed very happy. Each step of the process was pleasant and seamless. I had several different examinations, and all were thorough, informative, and all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I am NOT someone who enjoys going to the doctor, and I dreaded having to have my eyes checked. Dr. Abraham is an amazing optometrist. His knowledge and sincerity in comforting his patients is remarkable. He was able to help me acquire a new prescription lens after my eye sight issues arose with ease and comfort. Yet, despite his amazing capabilities, some of his staff are less than lacklustre. I got two frames done for my new lens but alas one frame was incredibly tight. I kept telling the optician that it hurt and what was wrong with it. Her attitude was deplorable - bored, annoyed and just did not ant to be bothered. Look I understand that you have a busy job but that does not mean you need to be rude and ignore my proper fitting needs. My frames are worse than ever and so I need to go elsewhere for a major adjustment. Dr. Abraham you're marvelous and I recommend everyone in and around thte area to seek your services as a commendable and fantastic optometrist. But to the staff member who treated me so poorly, I truly hope you do not act in the same horrible manner to anyone else who was polite to you for the entire interaction. read more

we tried to use this place for my son's contact lenses. they were not very helpful. my son ended up not getting contact lenses. neither doctor nor the assistant were able to insert the lenses. Teaching did not work either and even though we did not get lenses for my child, we ended up getting a hefty invoice for something that did not work. I would NOT recommend this place. read more

Dr Abraham took his time and listened to me. He recommended I not get the carbon coating on my lenses as the could increase the distortion and could be contributing to the glare I have driving at night since my cataract surgery. That really helped cut the glare. Jen was very helpful picking the right frames for me. She also listened and explained things clearly. First impressions matter. Years ago I had somehow got a splinter or leaf stem in my eye. It sat there for two months with pain every time I blinked. I went to Eye-to-Eye and Dr. Abraham was the doctor who removed it. It was the first time I had ever met Dr. Abraham but I trusted him and his confidence to stick a needle in my eye to remove the foreign body. Last week I switched practices to Abraham Eye Associates after having found out Dr. Abraham opened a private practice. The office is beautiful, and he and the staff are unmatched. They were all polite, knowledgeable, beyond helpful, and honest with helping me decide which glasses fit me best (since I will now need prescription glasses). I had my first visit Dr. Abraham and his staff yesterday, and it was a great appointment. Scheduling was easy and painless, and everyone was friendly and efficient throughout the visit. After my exam, Dr. Abraham asked me to get the special test done ($45, not covered by insurance) and explained very thoroughly and clearly why he thought it necessary. To illustrate what he was looking at, he took a picture of my optic nerve without charging me, enabling me to see for myself, which was very cool. Picking out my glasses was also easy and efficient. All in all, one of the best eye appointments I have ever experienced. read more

I've tried contacts for years and could never find a brand that I could wear more than 6 hours at a time. The doctor listened to my problems and the first prescription was perfect. The first week, I almost went to sleep in my contacts because I forgot they were in. Scheduling follow up appointments was a breeze. They even ordered me more trial lenses in between appointments. I had an excellent experience with both Dr. Abraham and the staff at the practice. I'm very nervous with new healthcare practitioners and they were so kind and friendly. I highly recommend them. My glasses needed a slight adjustment so I popped in unannounced one day and they immediately fixed the frames to my preference. They also have the new tech that allows them to look at your eyes without dilation. It's a small extra charge, but worth it to avoid dilation. read more

I agree with everyone on this thread. AMAZING and responsive staff. Dr. Abraham has an impeccable bedside manner. He is a thoughtful doctor that I knew had my best interests in mind. Receptionists are so nice, going above and beyond their duties to ensure everyone is well taken care of. After struggling to pick out a pair of glasses on my own one of the receptionists had a few pairs waiting for me when I was done my exam that she thought would look good on me... and she was right! I've always gravitated towards metal frames but I was presented with 4 pairs of plastic frames to give a try. She found me a pair of glasses that I would have looked over and I now when them any time my contacts are out. I love how open and honest they are with their clients. I knew all of my options and they didn't try to push anything on me that I didn't want. Everything was clearly explained to me and they answered all of my questions. Their hours are super convenient! So happy that I've found my eye doctor that I will use for as long as I need an eye doctor. I cannot recommend this practice enough! read more

Great doctors and fantastic staff. Dr. Snyder was absolutely wonderful to work with. When I had a bit of an unexpected emergency she was quick and thorough with her care and it was clear that she was genuinely concerned about my well-being. As a young adult attending school in the area it was very reassuring to have someone like Dr. Synder as my doctor. In addition to great doctors the staff is a pleasure to work with. They always work hard to make sure I'm well informed about my coverage and that I'm getting as much covered by my insurance as possible. I recently had a very scary experience with Shingles in and around my eye. After two unsuccessful trips to Wills Eye Hospital ER in which they told me I had Pink Eye. It took only one phone call with a subsequent visit to Dr. Abraham and he had the correct diagnosis as well as put me on the appropriate treatment. He acted quickly and thoroughly and because of that I suffered very little of the pain that is associated with Shingles, as well as no damage to my vision. Dr. Abraham has been my eye doctor for many years and I have always enjoyed his care. He has always been extremely thorough and kind, especially with my elderly father who suffered from Dementia. However, this situation: his acumen in diagnosing me; his interaction with my MD; his caring and follow up, has shown me just what an excellent eye doctor and health care professional I have been lucky enough to have all these years. Cannot say enough about him. Happy for him that he has gone into his own practice. The new office has cutting edge technology and is beautiful as well. When I asked the office for my contact lens prescription the receptionist said she would send it, but instead she sent the glasses prescription. I asked her why she sent the wrong prescription she said she could only provide my lens prescription if I told her whether I would use their brand. Short story, this is the eye doctor to go to....hands down... Longer story.... As a rule, I hate Dr. offices....the staff is usually grumpy and unpleasant, seemingly way to busy to stop and sign you in, and the attitude that they do it with makes you want to crawl into a hole. That is NOT this office. I go in, usually with my wife and three monsters. The staff is ALWAYS friendly...like they don't appear to have ever had a bad day...EVER! Dr. Abraham is very personable, and makes my children feel at ease, which is not easy to do to a 7 year old when you are approaching his eye balls with machines that rival his favorite transformabotathings, or Robo-poke-monsters.... I respect the information that I get from the doctor....whether it is about how my eyes are changing as I am getting old, or the restaurants that I should visit when I take my daughter to D.C. on a museum hunt. I come in once a year, but somehow when my wife calls to make the appointment they know exactly who she is and personalize the conversation as if they are old friends who talk all the time....and not in that uncomfortable, I don't really know you but I have to make this phone call, kind of way. I did a search to find a new optometrist and Abraham Eye Associates came up with great reviews so I made an appointment and they far surpassed my expectations. Dr. Abraham wasn't in so I saw Dr. Snyder who was amazing. She did a thorough exam and I decided to switch to her to take care of a chronic eye condition I have. The staff (Jen and Neha) was absolutely incredible!! I was in ONCE and came back two days later and they greeted me by name! They were friendly, nice, and worked with me to help me pick out a new pair of glasses. They didn't pressure me into spending more than I wanted, in fact, they helped me find the greatest deal.
