Just had an awesome tour with Brenton. We will be back with the kids. So much detail on all the mining techniques and the minerals. Great boat tour and discussion on the movie and Red Bull event filmed here.they even have a garden.

Super cool!!! Our kids had a blast and learned a bunch! The boat tour was so much better than the walking tour. It was a little scary but we loved it.

I took my 3 kids ages 4, 8 and 10. They all had a great time. Dakota was our tour guide. He was super knowledgeable and friendly. The mine and lake were pretty amazing to see. I would highly recommend.

Really cool experience! Hidden gem just outside of STL. The largest underground lake is hidden in Bonne Terre, MO! Dakotah was an awesome tour guide!

The guide was great, the tour was informational, and the boat ride was calming and beautiful. I learned a lot walking through these mines. Definitely a must see if you live near or are passing through the area. So much fun!

I've lived 30 minutes away and never got to experience the mine until now. It's totally worth is. Doug was our guide, and he was fantastic.

    So beautiful!

Alright, I have to call out a previous review written by Ms. Bernadette C. I absolutely love Bonne Terre Mines! They clearly state the prices of their dive packages. For the most part, they do a good job bringing everything you need to know to the table. Ms. Bernadette was obviously unprepared, and comes off as very high maintenance (Yikes!). Bonne Terre isn't a big flashy city, so yeah I would say things are different. That doesn't mean it's bad, some people enjoy their style! I can also tell that targeting superficial things like their "freak show / circus style" signs is a game you like to play quite often, perhaps I could point out a few things about your appearance that I find to be tacky sometime. It's a real shame your experience wasn't to your liking, that being said this place is far from a joke. The mine itself has a great historical background, not to mention it is breath taking. The staff has their imperfections, but remember, Ms. Bernadette, they are HUMAN just like you. Fellow Yelpers, this is a real place with real staff members. They're down to earth, if you can't handle that I would not recommend that you visit. If you walk in with a positive attitude, patience, & respect, then I can assure you that your visit to the Bonne Terre Mines will be a good one!

Warren and Sharon, our guides, were thorough and enthusiastic and their love of and appreciation for downtown Saint Louis was immediately apparent. Sharon did a fantastic job focusing on the less well-known history of women in downtown Saint Louis (Madame Chateau. Harriet Scott, Sacajawea and Eliza Hat raft, among others). There was a lot of information about St. Louis history and culture, not just the usual but also the unusual, which was fun. I would have liked a little more detail about the specific architects and buildings themselves, but there was a lot to get in. The tour lasted exactly 2.5 hours and that was enough. We went to the Hotel St. Louis for lunch afterward so we could spend time in that fantastic art deco space. The restaurant is open breakfast through evening, so it would be a good spot to take a break whenever you might be downtown. The sheer number of truly beautiful historic buildings in downtown St. Louis is so impressive. Yes, some are neglected, but their elegance and scale are stunning. It was interesting to see up close the neighborhood and streets that I read about in the news. I recommend this tour for anyone, but in particular it would be great for locals to take it and see our city for the jewel it is. The walk was easy, the guide (Glenn) was fun and informative, and I was surprised at how spotless downtown is.

Three of us took the Delmar Loop food tour with our guide Tracey. First I would like to say Tracey…read morewas a wonderful guide with so much knowledge of the area. She told us the history of the loop, what's currently going on and what's up and coming. We could not have asked for a better guide. The food is important but having a good guide I think is equally important. Tracey went above and beyond. We loved her. Five stars for Tracey. Now on to the food. I will list what where we stopped and rate each individual place. SALT AND SMOKE- OMG THE BEST PLACE ON THE TOUR. They gave us brisket and Mac -n- cheese( which they just won an award for) I live on the East Coast and we are not known for good BBQ but being a foodie I do know good food and this place was slammin! The brisket was the best I've ever had and so was the Mac-n-cheese made with some ritz crackers on top. The manager was very friendly and welcoming. They showed us the smokers up close which was very cool. They have 4 different sauces to try all made in house and all delicious. Liked it so much we are going back for dinner. PI PIZZA- Being from the East Coast, New Haven, home of world famous Sally's and Pepe's Pizza I have high standards for pizza. This pizza was not what I'm used to but enjoyed trying it anyway. They served a small pizza for the 3 of us which is extremely generous on a food tour! SHAWARMA KING- kind of a dive place for college kids, kind of while in the wall place. Chicken schwarma was tasty and falafel was average. Owner wasn't talkative or friendly but that's ok. I would eat here if a broke college kid or drunk at 2am but not a place for a first date SEOUL TACO- Korean taco joint. We had a beef taco which was delicious and kimchi rice that was also good. I would go back to this place for sure. PICCIONE PASTRY- they gave each of us a gooey butter cake canoli. St. Louis is famous for gooey butter cake if u didn't know. The cannoli was filled to order and was very good. Very sweet but very good. The tour was about $55 a person and was well worth it. I've been on other food tours across the country and this one gave us the most food for our money. I've been to others where we left hungry but not here! If you take this tour at 11 am like we did I suggest you do not eat breakfast! I would definitely recommend this tour if you are visiting St Louis both for the food and to learn the history. Lastly, the picture attached to my review is for Tracey. We ran into this famous guy as we entered our hotel right after our tour. We wished Tracey was still with us when we met him. Tracey we hope you see this picture and if the company sees this review please show Tracey the pic! Thanks!
