Just had an awesome tour with Brenton. We will be back with the kids. So much detail on all the mining techniques and the minerals. Great boat tour and discussion on the movie and Red Bull event filmed here.they even have a garden.

Super cool!!! Our kids had a blast and learned a bunch! The boat tour was so much better than the walking tour. It was a little scary but we loved it.

I took my 3 kids ages 4, 8 and 10. They all had a great time. Dakota was our tour guide. He was super knowledgeable and friendly. The mine and lake were pretty amazing to see. I would highly recommend.

Really cool experience! Hidden gem just outside of STL. The largest underground lake is hidden in Bonne Terre, MO! Dakotah was an awesome tour guide!

The guide was great, the tour was informational, and the boat ride was calming and beautiful. I learned a lot walking through these mines. Definitely a must see if you live near or are passing through the area. So much fun!

I've lived 30 minutes away and never got to experience the mine until now. It's totally worth is. Doug was our guide, and he was fantastic.

    So beautiful!

Alright, I have to call out a previous review written by Ms. Bernadette C. I absolutely love Bonne Terre Mines! They clearly state the prices of their dive packages. For the most part, they do a good job bringing everything you need to know to the table. Ms. Bernadette was obviously unprepared, and comes off as very high maintenance (Yikes!). Bonne Terre isn't a big flashy city, so yeah I would say things are different. That doesn't mean it's bad, some people enjoy their style! I can also tell that targeting superficial things like their "freak show / circus style" signs is a game you like to play quite often, perhaps I could point out a few things about your appearance that I find to be tacky sometime. It's a real shame your experience wasn't to your liking, that being said this place is far from a joke. The mine itself has a great historical background, not to mention it is breath taking. The staff has their imperfections, but remember, Ms. Bernadette, they are HUMAN just like you. Fellow Yelpers, this is a real place with real staff members. They're down to earth, if you can't handle that I would not recommend that you visit. If you walk in with a positive attitude, patience, & respect, then I can assure you that your visit to the Bonne Terre Mines will be a good one!

Sioux Passage Park in North County, right where the Missouri hits what looks like the apex of the curve, almost Arch-like in shape... this journey is mostly north... and when the river starts to flow back south, you take out at Sioux Passage Park (the Native Americans / indigenous people would save 20+ miles paddling by carrying canoes and items from the Mississippi to the Missouri and back). The canoes are about 20 feet long; single seats fore and aft for Big Muddy leaders; 4-5 dual seats in between... so you'll paddle one side at at time. Super steady. The river... so calm so quiet.
