We ordered to-go at work. Just wow. The mufaletta is tasty and moist without being soggy. It has bacon!!! And the pickles and little biscuits. Just delicious. I would write more, but I must focus on eating. This food is demanding my attention.

Brunch at the Main Street Market. A quaint little cafe in on old house. We were greeted immediately by the owner and seated by the electric fireplace which quickly became too warm. The owner graciously turned off the fireplace as soon as we mentioned it was too warm. A waitress took our drink order, we both got unsweetened tea. When she came back with our tea we still needed more time to decide what to order. After a few minutes the owner came over to our table and took our order. Mary ordered cream of asparagus soup the quiche and the house salad with fresh fruit and a ginger dressing. I opted for the grilled chicken sandwich that came with a side salad and a cup of chicken and andouille gumbo. As customers came and went you could tell many of them were regulars by their interactions with the owner and employees. This is a warm and welcoming little restaurant. There's also outdoor seating on the back patio but it was too chilly and windy on this day. Our food was served and had a nice presentation. Mary thoroughly enjoyed her quiche and we both enjoyed the salad. The fresh berries and pineapple was a nice addition and the ginger dressing very tasty. My gumbo was tasty with an ample amount of tender chicken and sausage and not too much rice. The chicken sandwich was well prepared although after the soup and salad I wasn't able to finish the sandwich. If we're ever back in town we will definitely revisit this little gem for lunch.

Driving through Vicksburg and found this place through Yelp. It was the perfect lunch place, homemade food in a charming atmosphere. My companion had the special of the day which was shrimp ratatouille with grits which was very good, flavorful and light. I had the asparagus quiche with salad and soup. I enjoyed it all and how fresh, simple and housemate it was. I don't normally have dessert with lunch but couldn't resist the chocolate pecan pie - sooo worth it and piled high with real whipped cream. A truly lovely, nourishing lunch. I would definitely come back!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this family run cafe! So good!! The gumbo was excellent! Had three different sandwiches and each was fresh and delicious. To top it off we had the best chocolate cake I've had in forever!! I highly recommend this little stop.

I've never been disappointed eating here! In fact, I feel like a little kid eating at Grandma's house. Mini biscuits for an appetizer, soup or salad, plus a delicious entree is the daily special. But don't forget dessert! Their chocolate pecan pie is to die for!

No.... you can't have any of my gumbo!

I try my best to avoid chain restaurants wherever I go. Yelp helps a lot with that.... and thanks to Yelp for helping me find this place. I found myself in Vicksburg for three days, and this restaurant looked exactly like the type of establishment I try to find.... so good I went twice. The staff knew everyone that walked through the door.... except me of course. During my second visit, the extremely nice lady that ran the place said "I'm going to need to know your name if you want to come in here twice in one week!" A great place to get some lunch. Highly recommend!!

    Quaint and inviting.

Best $15 entree place anywhere. All is good, fresh, and portioned right. Don't forget dessert! Pies, cakes, pies.

Very good food and service. I had stuffed jambalaya pork chops and my wife had andouille sausage gumbo. All excellent.

It's the kind of eatery where the waitresses call you "baby" which is a respected Deep South Tradition. I ordered the 1/2 po boy & 1/2 gumbo lunch with a side dish (I chose baked potato salad) for $14. The food arrived about 10 minutes later. My sandwich was a grilled shrimp po boy on bread that tasted like it was from Gambino's. It was very good taste wise and I enjoyed it. Ditto on the cup of seafood gumbo with shrimp in it and with a good tasting roux too. Finally the baked potato salad was creamy, cool and flavorful. Altogether this was a very good meal. On the front door is a sign saying that they charge an extra 4% for credit card usage. Also, on my check were two prices, one for cash and the other for credit. While I detest restaurants that charge extra for credit card usage, I will give Gumbo Pot credit in that they clearly disclose that fee on the door and on the bill but I still hate it.

There are not a lot of Yelpers in Vicksburg but Rusty's had some great reviews so we decide to try it. Nice location near the river and plenty of street parking. We were seated quickly after our full party arrived. There is nothing fancy about this place but clean and simple. When you walk in you see the desserts in the cooler in the front and they all look delicious and homemade. We saw some dinner rolls being brought to the table but we were not offered any so we asked and they are free. So make sure to ask. They are yummy little yeast rolls with some sweet (maybe honey) butter. I tried a Bahama mama that was tasty and we liked the fried calamari (7/10). This place is a mostly seafood restaurant with a few good options if you don't or can't eat seafood. We had two in our party that does not eat seafood and they enjoyed the blacked chicken. The mozzarella sticks were also tasty. The start of the dinner was the Redfish with the craw fish cream sauce. DE-licious!! I enjoyed the seafood pasta. It's a lemon butter sauce not creamy but I liked it! It came with a side so I tried a cup of gumbo for $3 up-charge. It was worth it. Very good gumbo with sausage, shrimp, scallops, and an oyster! Looking forward to going back!

So we booked a spot at a local hotel and they recommended Rusty's because 'it's by the river.' Although it is near the river, you cannot SEE the river. So...whatever. They were super friendly, very welcoming. The place is, essentially, a pub or sportsbar feel. We were hungry, but not starving and wanted to order light, but were excited by the new (to us) items on the menu...we're from the Pacific Northwest so the type of seafood they have here at Rusty's is not the usual. We got the fried green tomato appetizer, then the wedge salad and shrimp and grits. So- one app, a salad and one entree. The portions were HUGE. Like, way too much for us. We loved the sweet tea. The green tomatoes were great. Lump crab and hollandaise...tasty, if maybe a little over-sauced. The wedge salad was drowning in dressing. It tasted great, but way too much. Shrimp and grits: delicious, but we ended up taking most of it to-go because we were so full from everything else. The shrimp and grits also came with onion rings- which went straight into the doggie bag. Just so much food. I appreciate that they're trying to make sure that we're well fed, I really do...but damn. I want to taste everything...please, smaller portions! Or maybe a tasting menu? We wanted dessert badly but had no room for it at all.
