I came in to replace a lug stud as a referral from Discount Tire in AF. I do most my car stuff on my own but this was covered by discount tire so I brought it in and they had the highest quality of service of any shop I've ever been to! Very very impressed with the guys, the quality of the work, the transparency and thoroughness. I ended up having them help me figure out an oil leak I've had for a while and the value for the price was also surprisingly really good! 10/10 I recommend this place to everyone! read more

Heard good things about Main Street Mechanics so I dropped my prius off here to get a second opinion on a diagnosed bad wheel baring at a Toyota Car Dealer. They had a shuttle service that took me all of the way back to my home in Eagle Mountain after I had dropped of my car, this was very kind and unexpected service, after waiting all day to hear back about my car I finally called to get a status update and they said they would call me in an hour... well they never called and at this point the day was coming to an end so I called them and they said they had already looked at the car and that my transmission was going bad, not my wheel baring, so I got a lift back to the mechanic shop to confirm their findings and they still believed it was my transmission going out and not the wheel baring so that made me sick to my stomach to the point that I could not sleep that night. I took my car back to the Toyota car dealer that originally diagnosed the wheel baring issue and they confirmed nothing was wrong with my transmission and that the wheel baring was the problem but it wasn't so bad that they felt like it needed to be replaced right away so I didn't have the do the work. I eventually put new tires on the car and the sound I was previously hearing has now magically disappeared so now I don't know who to believe or trust but I know that I will not be returning to this place for future services since my transmission is totally fine so I don't know why they told me it was on its way out. read more

extremely sexist experience here as well as general lack of customer service (the worst service I have ever received). they held on to my car for several more days than they told me they would need it as I had work and could only leave it with them for 2 days, but they decided they were too busy to get to it. so I said I will just come pick it up and waited in the lobby for 2 hours for them to finally tell me they got to it that day. they did not offer a loaner car or anything like that, even though the owner will respond to this review saying he did. I was not entitled nor rude to them the entire time, I was patient and understanding, just letting them know id need it back that day since I had work. they really did not apologize for the delay and then told me I still had to come back another day for one last service they did not complete, but that I had paid for. I arrived at a scheduled time with them and the front desk person guaranteed me when we made the appointment that it would be 10 minutes, but when I arrived they said we are super busy and it will be 30-40 minutes. I said, no thank you, I actually have some plans today with family that are important as my grandmother passed and we were preparing for the viewing/memorial. the front desk person said okay let me talk to my manager about getting you a refund for the service not completed, and we waited in the lobby for 20 minutes until the owner of the business came up to us extremely rude and accusing us of wasting HIS time. I was like, how have we wasted YOUR time??? we had an appointment that you guys guaranteed but now you can't get to it in a timely manner and I have things to do. he said leave my store, you are wasting my time. so I said I would like a refund for the service you did not complete and he said no and walked away. I said okay, I guess I will have to dispute it with my bank, and he said "you look like you would do that". this is not my first experience being a woman at a mechanic shop feeling uncomfortable, and it unfortunately won't be my last. do not come here at all costs, they are deleting bad reviews (mine was deleted from yesterday), and they steal your money and give false promises. I was on an extreme budget due to traveling out of state for a funeral, but they took advantage of that and charged me $800 for not even completing all of the services and not fixing anything. it still has problems with it and my main concern was not even addressed. find somewhere else to go, and the owner is going to lie in his response to make it seem like I somehow was the rude one in this situation because he can't hold himself accountable for the disappointment they caused me. if this is the best in Utah valley, I would seriously consider moving. read more

They told us our car would be done by the end of day and it wasn't. We decided on this place because they had an opening on a Friday morning before a three day weekend. They also charged us for a part they broke! They said it was not due to his negligence but because we didn't take the car in for that hose to be fixed (the hose they broke) they were going to charge us for it. *RED FLAG! Dustin was obviously excited about his three day weekend and said there was nothing he could do about us not having a car. No replacement car , no rental, nothing! He just said that if there was anything he could do he would. Obviously he could have done something. But he didn't. You can bet I will be back there on TUESDAY ready to talk to a manager and Dustin to ask how their weekend was and I will have to tell them that instead of going and visiting our grandparents gravesites or going out to eat or to a picnic in the mountains or to the game night we had planned because we were stuck at home. UPDATE-- Tuesday is here and guess what? nothing was done. They tried calling and telling us another thing was broken if that was true why didn't they notice it when they were working on it on Friday? *RED FLAG Then we called the dealership to ask how much the part was they gave a price that was less than half of what we were charged for. When Dustin said on Friday that he charge less than what he got it for. I have had a lot of work done here over the years. the work has been high caliber. Engine re-build, clutch, brakes with caliper, engines gaskets, tie rods, belts and more are some examples of work they have done for me. yes the engine rebuild took some time and there were a few residual issues that they fixed for free afterward. Towing was covered when coolant was leaking after the build. yes sometimes you need to be the one to call and check the status but they send a status link now so that helps. they have taken a little longer on some projects than I expected so if you need your car on a weekend you might need to be a little proactive. A more proactive follow up would have earned 5 stars as the work wis great. They also do well in honoring their warranty on work they have done. read more

Luck for you, I have made the mistake and done all of the research for you so you do not have to make this mistake. They will charge you $100 plus just to look at your vehicle I got a charge for them to tell me that I need new brakes. They will also only give you mid grade products at a premium price in order to get you stuck into coming back. Scammers that get mad at you when you don't let them scam you. Wanted to charge me for an "inspection" after being told like 3 separate times that it'd not have to pay because it was a leak they already "repaired". They said if it was something they caused they'd fix it, if it was a different issue, then they'd charge me. Okay fine enough I guess, I mean they could just lie and say it's something different when it's not how would I know? Conveniently they found some other issue with the system that just a month prior seemed to completely be missed by them. Hmmmm wonder how that happened. Anyways, I come back to pick the vehicle up after being told they'd call when it's ready on Friday afternoon I get no call so I figure okay maybe it's taking a while, they're backed up maybe? I'll wait until Saturday morning. Nope. Closed till Monday. No courtesy call saying hey if you don't want to be completely fucking stranded for the whole weekend then you'll have to come get it before then. Complete jerk offs. Go pick it up Monday morning and all of a sudden I owe $90 for an inspection that tells me everything that they already found when I paid $150 for the inspection prior to service a month ago?
