I am very disappointed in the work done by the "professionals" at K&S. I had my car brought in for general services it needed past 100k miles thinking everything would be done right considering the price I payed was over $2k For starters, they're plenty nice. The overall look around they do for your car when it comes in is appreciated, and they won't try to sell you on work you don't need then and there. I had told them this car was needed for a trip deep into Montana, and was excited to have a refreshed engine to reliably make that trip. When I received my car back, I noticed a couple bits had not been put back together correctly. Should have been a MAJOR red flag. Not only did K&S manage to crack part of my radiator, they didn't own up to it! Driving down the freeway the radiator blew the top hose from the flange they cracked. I limped the car back and they said they'd take care of it. Surprise surprise, a nice $700 bill waited for me. I love my car and I'm dissatisfied and disappointed by the level of care not taken. It's still missing multiple bolts for attaching the fans back to the new radiator, and for my hood prop. Probably because they lost them and didn't even care to use a zip tie or just tell me. I wouldn't consider coming back here for something even if it fell under the warranty. Thanks for the sh*tty work K&S! Won't be coming back! read more

You definitely don't get treated like a priority at K&S Auto. I took my 2012 GMC Acadia over there to get the catalytic converter replaced it had a horrible noise coming from an exhaust leak they had my vehicle for 2 days while they were replacing the catalytic converter they also noticed that it needed something else replaced that had to do with the fuel system it ended up costing over $500 when I went to pick up the vehicle it still sounded horrible like a motorcycle the person who I found out later was the owner told me that it was an exhaust leak he told me he would replace the gasket and the bolt that it needed for free but he needed to order the gasket and to bring it in the next morning at 8:00 so I did and when I brought it back he said he ordered the wrong one so I would have to bring it the next day at 8:00. When I brought it in the next day at 8:00 he said he would have to keep the vehicle for most of the day because there were several customers in front of me. I told him I needed my vehicle back by 11 because I had to pick someone up by 11. He said I didn't make them aware of the exhaust leak and so he shouldn't have to fix it for free and said he wouldn't do it for free if I wasn't able to leave it until after all of the other customers. I told him I thought I should be a priority because I had already been without my vehicle for 2 days and when I came to pick it up it wasn't fixed. He got all onery with me and slammed the keys on the counter and said he wasn't going to do it. Beware of K&S Auto!!! The owner Shawn Sampson seems friendly at first but then turns into a total ASSHOLE!!! read more

I had a terrible experience here. As a woman I know mechanics sometimes take advantage, I definitely feel this was the case here. They tried to tell me it would be $125 to replace my headlight! I had a headlight replaced a month earlier at another shop for $25. Plus the quote was over priced on the brake job I needed. So it was a huge waste of time. I paid a $50 diagnostic fee (most shops look for free) and left with my car only to find a huge scratch above my drivers side door that was definitely not there when I brought it in. Save yourself the trouble and don't visit this shop. read more

We have taken our cars here multiple times after trying different mechanics and not being satisfied with their service. K S doesn't try to find extra things wrong with our cars. They just fix the problem we take our cars in for. Once, after spending time looking at our car, they said there wasn't anything wrong and they didn't even charge us. read more

Took my truck into K&S to have AC looked at. My previous mechanic put their hand in front of the vent and said feels cold to me. Took it to the previous mechanic twice and they could not find a problem. Went for 4th of July weekend trip out of town and it failed me. Burned up the whole trip. Gave up on other mechanic and took it to K&S. They called back about an hour later and said the AC was failing and would not hold up under pressure and had to be replaced. They had it done the next day. Unfortunately the other previous mechanic made the 4th of July trip (4 Hours each way) miserable but now I know where I stand with them. I just wanted it done right the first time and K&S did just that. I will not be going back to Granny's Automotive in American Fork. They have let me down too many times and I will not be going back to them. Thanks K&S. read more

These guys are true honest businessmen! Every time I bring my car in, they let me know what things might be needing attention without the sales pitch. They don't take you for a ride at all. They've fixed a leak in my oil pan twice and filled it up so I didnt need another oil change right away. And for my "trouble" they put on my wiper blades for free! These guys aee amazing ! I have taken several of my cars to this auto shop and they come back with way better prices and service than I get from other places. They are fast and I feel like they are over the top honest, when they could have taken me for more money. It has happened twice where I thought I had bigger problems than I had and they saved me from huge bills, one such example: This week I took my car to the Acura dealership and they told me that I needed an oil pump replacement quoting me about $1800,. and a "rear main" for another $1800. I took it by to see K&S and they quoted me $1200 for the oil pump and they would look at the rear main. They did the work in 1 day and called us to pick up the car. When we went to pick up the car they charged us $900 and let us know that they had fixed a few other problems that made the "rear main" work not necessary... I still go back to the fact that we had been quoted $1200 and when they fixed everything they charged us less. Who does that these days??? I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I needed to get my car licensed in November, and a friend recommended K&S Auto. Unlike other auto shops, they make appointments and were ready for me when I pulled up. I found the entire staff to be polite and friendly. So glad I now have a place close to home for servicing my car. read more

This is the place we take our vehicles to when needed. Recently it was for a ford which kept popping the serpentine belt. It took a few times of replacing it before it stayed on but they kept at it and were more than fair with the charge. We highly recommend this business. read more

Took my sons vehicle in to K&S because the check engine light came on. We had stopped by auto zone to have them use the device that tells you what the problem is so we have an idea going in what the repairs would be. The pistons were misfiring. K&S told us that the engine was shot and needed to be replaced and it would cost us about $4000 to fix. We'd only had the vehicle for about 5 months and had paid just a little more than that to purchase the vehicle. My son was devastated. We decided to get a second opinion and I'm SO glad we did. The only things we needed to do was change out the spark plugs and replace a hose. Car is running great now! So glad we didn't listen to K&S!!! The other repair place also mentioned that it looked like a compression test had never been done and the spark plugs never checked. Will not be doing business there again, I always felt like they were overpriced and rude anyways! read more

I have been coming to k&s auto for many years because they are very close to home, but I will never make the same mistake again. They have the worst customer service that I have ever recieved. The front desk help is condescending and short and every time I called in to check up on my car (they said it would be a week but ended up being longer because of parts) they would be angry that I called and said that if I wanted to find the part for them (in a Condescending tone) he would fix it. I understand when you can't get the part but that is not a reason to treat your customers like that. read more

We have taken our cars here several times. They seem to do decent work but one of the owners has very poor customer service skills. Despite spending thousands of dollars here in the past few months, he charged me $69 to diagnose a weak battery. Come on guys, you can do better than that! read more

K&S has worked on all of my cars for 10+ years. I don't know which I like better, their honesty or their skill as mechanics. Either way it's a combination that just cannot be beat! For example, I took a car in once asking them to change the power steering pump. When I picked it up there was NO CHARGE. They found a loose hose, tightened it up, and filled the fluid - all for FREE. They could have changed the pump and I would have been very happy. I'll be a customer for life!! read more

Finally have found a trustworthy Auto repair shop. I have been looking for one for a few years now ever since the place we used to go closed down. They repaired out car that needed a new alternator for less than $240.00. The car was towed to them after closing, the repair was done before noon the next day. I found them because at least 10 people in our neighborhood recommend them as fair, honest, and dependable. They don't work on European cars for the most part however so you have to remember that. read more

They are dishonest. I took my car in and asked them to give me a call if it was over a certain dollar amount. Well, they just went and fixed the car without giving me time to research or shop around. Then, they charged me 4-5X the price I asked them to call me about. Needless to say, I was mad when they finally told me how much it would cost, but then they acted like jerks. They told me with a condescending attitude "Well we'll just take the part out and you can have the same problem" even though they wasted 3-4 days of my time. Terrible customer service, some of the worst I've ever experienced. They didn't even offer me a discount. All I got was a weak sorry. read more
