Long Story Short: dont come here for birthday freebies. they are lying and falsely advertising when they say it's free. It was my boyfriend's 21st birthday. He said we wanted food so we went to Main Street which I had gone only a couple times before him (maybe like 2-3 times before). The first time I was there, I signed up onto their loyalty membership whatever-it-is which gives me points every time I come in and it also sends me notifications. I had recently got a notification that said you can receive a FREE SLICE on your BIRTHDAY. (I received the text literally a day before his birthday) I was telling my boyfriend that he should receive a free slice. At the counter, my boyfriend had a valid ID and we said that it was his birthday. The guys told us that it was up to the "girl's" decision whether if he could have a free slice. So now, a girl comes to the register, talking to my boyfriend about a free slice. but later I found out that he didn't get a free slice but she offered a buy one get one one free deal. Like what? That's FALSE ADVERTISING! I was half listening. If i was more attentive, I would've said something but my boyfriend is an unconfrontational guy. Even earlier in the year when it was my birthday, they did no free slice for me either. My coworker paid for my slice. but with the notification, I thought that they finally started doing a free slice for birthdays. Nope. Don't come here for birthday freebies. read more

LOVE Main Street Pizza!! The staff are super friendly and go above and beyond for their customers. We had a snafu with DoorDash in which the driver didn't make it there in time prior to closing, and Zack (sp?) went out of his way to personally deliver it when he finished his shift (which was only a couple minutes after we had ordered). Without hesitation, he delivered it to us (we were, ahem, unable to safely drive there to get it ourselves haha) and was so nice and understanding. Even though they didn't need to as it wasn't their fault, they apologized for the snafu! As for the pizza, we got a combination and it was delicious. Perfectly balanced crust (just the right amount of crispy on the bottom and also the perfect thickness), fresh toppings, and the sauce was amazing. This was not my first experience with them either. I've had their single slices after a night out and it's ALWAYS been super good. We will absolutely be ordering from there again and our community is lucky to have them! I remember trying to go to Main Street for lunch, thinking it would be a fine option, and walking distance from my last class... only to find they werent even open during the day. This establishment, my friends, is only for the hardcore, drunk as jesus late night eats. And thats where it truly shines. First off, as you can already tell from Sammys post, you need to get the pesto slice. Yes you need it. After a night of assault on your tastebuds all over town, that slice of pesto pizza will be the most incredible thing in the world for your walk/peddy cab home. If its winter, it may also be the only thing keeping you from freezing to death, too. I have literally been with a girl who dropped her slice half way home, and burst into tears. Yes, alcohol could have been a factor, but I like to think that her response would be identical if it was midday. The pies here arent thin crust if thats your deal, and if you are looking for an arugula stack and diced prosciutto, you are in the wrong goddamn place. But the pizza itself is tastier than Frankies across town, and by far your best late night eats option in the downtown area. Besides, I cant remember many things in my college experience as enjoyable as a late night downtown capped by a slice of main street pesto. I have never really heard of this place until my friend introduced it to me last night while we were bar hopping. We were both pretty hungry because we didn't eat lunch and we wanted to have something in our stomach before going off again into the bars. When I first walked into this place, the different arts on canvas for sale on the wall, the dark wood furniture, and the music background reminded me of San Francisco, which is nice. We ordered these pizza by the slice that was recently out of the oven and they were delicious. They didn't put an excessive amount of sauce to the pizza (which I like because I feel like too much sauce overpowers the taste) and the crust was good. It would be nice though if they had a paper plate or something rather than that wax paper for your piazza but other than that, I really like this place for pizza. The Pesto is pretty good. I'll give the rating 3 stars for that alone. Otherwise there are only two other reasons for why you should be eating there: 1.) It's a fresh slice, only 5 minutes old and you want some pizza. 2.) You've had at least 4 beers and it's past midnight and you are closer to main street than any other place that sells food and you want to quickly get back to your drinking. It's conveniently located next to Duffy's and stays open late, and It's cheap. $3 for a big fat slice last time I went. It's also fast service. If I could give 6 stars I would. Main Street Pizza is THE place you go to if you want a solid slice of pie with workers who do an excellent job with their service. Their pizza is by far the best I've had in Chico. It's always hot and the pepperonis are the kind that turns into a little cup when cooked (a sign of a quality pepperoni). They also have tons of sauces and spices that you can use to add your own flair to your pie. Usually, I am pretty critical of pizza (after all, it is my favorite food), but Main Street pizza is honestly the best. This place couldn't get a 5 star without their hardworking employees too so I have to shout them out. I always appreciate how cool they are despite having to work during the quarantine.
