Ok true to my word only waited a year to come back! Great service again! Very attentive and checked in multiple times throughout the evening. Everything tasted great and the short rib is still my absolute fave. Great for date night and catching up with friends!

For my daughter's birthday, she chose Crush in Chico, and as first impressions go... this one made a strong entrance. You step inside and head upstairs, and suddenly the outside world is forgotten. It's its own little realm holding court in the heart of Chico. It is warm, inviting, and has plenty of seating, with a full cast of attentive staff, and decor that doesn't shout "Italian!" from the rooftops, but is very hipster whispering with confidence. We opened with the lamb appetizer, and I'll admit this with measured humility... it rivaled my own. Tender, well-seasoned, and not a trace of that gamey nonsense. The Brussels sprouts followed suit, crisped just right, delivering that perfect bite between char and flavor. The bread and dipping combo? Let's just say restraint was not my strong suit. A few pizzas passed by like temptation itself, and every one of us took notice. Plans were made... our future visit in the works. For the mains, the birthday girl claimed the ribeye, and it arrived exactly as it should... cooked to perfection, with potatoes that could quietly steal the show if you weren't paying attention. Her boyfriend and I, in a moment of questionable maturity, settled our fate with Rochambeau. He emerged victorious and took the crispy chicken breast with gnocchi, a dish generous enough to test even a committed appetite. I went with the short rib ragu, rich and comforting, the kind of plate that doesn't need explaining. The drink selection holds its own, and the dessert menu read like a final act worth staying for... but we were defeated in the best possible way and bowed out early. Service never missed a beat. Present, attentive, and smooth from start to finish. Parking, as with most things in downtown Chico, requires a bit of patience and perhaps a small offering to the parking gods. But once inside, it's quickly forgotten. All told, a night well spent. Good food, good company, and a place that knows exactly what it's doing without needing to announce it. We'll be back... if only to answer the question those passing pizzas left behind.

Crush was amazing! Best restraunt in Chico from what I ate. Food was crafted with great flavors and complexity. Ambiance is clean and sleek, the AC was pumping which was nice on a hot day. Service was average but wasn't expecting to much. Thank you for taking care of our large group. Will be back when I'm in Chico again!

I've dined at Crush before. But that was years ago! I went there recently and thought it was time to share my thoughts! The atmosphere of the restaurant is busy, yet you don't feel packed in like a sardine, or overwhelmed by all the hustle and bustle of servers and customers moving around. My party and I sat down and we were immediately served chilled water from a fancy bottle. They gave us these fancy-looking, small glasses. Loved that! And then we ordered soft drinks - asked for Coke. It was fine, but we got it in bottles. Not that I don't like drinking a bottled Coke every now and then, I just would've preferred it from the fountain machine. Anyway, they gave us larger glasses with ice to better enjoy the soda. We ordered appetizers - Bruschetta and Meatballs. They arrived quickly and were phenomenally exquisite. I just wish the portions were slightly bigger because they were gone like that! Bread used for the Bruschetta was light and crunchy - how I like it! And the fresh tomatoes and vinegar really impressed me. Meatballs were also excellent - high-quality meat and delicious tomato sauce and everything was appropriately seasoned. Out of curiosity, and because we were still hungry, we ordered a pizza. It was a slightly above average pizza - nothing to write home about. I probably wouldn't order it again, but it was worth trying. For our main courses, we all ordered steaks. They were all cooked how we had requested them and cut like butter. The mashed potatoes we got with them were kind of bland - not much flavor or texture. And I feel that for the price, maybe a side salad could've also accompanied the steak. Our server, while friendly, was very slow and we seemed invisible to him at times. This was the part of our dining experience that really upset us. Overall, Crush is still a worthy restaurant to try if you're a Chico resident or are ever in this city. I would love to go back, mainly because I want to try some of the other appetizers and even a dessert or two. Someone at our table had a birthday, so I got to try some of the free dessert they gave.

I really enjoyed the chicken Parmesan at Crush. The cheese was perfectly melted with just a touch of browning, and I could still taste the crunch of the breaded chicken underneath. I also loved the balsamic vinegar served with the bread. It had a hint of sweetness that set it apart from others, and I appreciated the beautiful pattern they made with it before adding olive oil. The Brussels sprouts were delicious too, with a soft inside and a perfectly crisp outer layer. The restaurant has a lovely patio for outdoor seating as well as spacious indoor dining areas. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and attentive, regularly checking in on us.

Chicken parm. Very delish. Menu is seasonal...but all delish. Enjoy

The food, service and ambiance are all great !! Eating at the bar is fun but at a table is more personal.

Can I bring my quiet 20 month old little puppy to the rooftop?

Do you have a children's menu?

Hi, I stopped by the restaurant earlier this year and Happy Hour was not going on anymore. Has your famous Happy Hour started back up? 4-6pm, right? Please let me know at your earliest convenience.

Mari! We have restarted our happy hour. It goes from 4:30-5:30pm Wednesday-Sunday :)

Do you need to be 21 to eat here? Or do you need to be with someone that is 21?

No, you do not need to be 21

Wondering when the full menu begins? When the restaurant opens at 3:30, only happy hour is available. At 4:30 is when the dining room is open for seating and the full menu is…

At 1630 when the dining room is open the full menu is served. May be a bit loud, but it is full dinner service.

Do they allow food to go?

I have brought home leftovers, and they offer delivery so i wouls think so.

What time is regular happy hour?

    Everyday 3:30-6:30pm.

Yelp states that crush offers delivery. Is this true?

Contact https://www.entree-express.net/. The restaurant itself does not deliver.

Did you still have late night happy hour? If so what time?

Thursday 9 to 11 pm Friday 10 pm to 12 am and Saturday 10 pm to 12 am.

I know, I know, its a…read morecollege town, don't gripe about the college kids... but holy hell its nice to hang out with the grown ups sometimes! A couple of tips for the newbie adult headed to this VIP lounge: 1) Make sure to get your booty up there prior to 9pm (after 9pm there is a $10 cover charge) 2) $10 isn't going to break the bank, I get it however, it IS a key bit of info so take it for what its worth. (Its worth ten bucks, ha!) Make sure that if you should arrive before 9, like for happy hour, and stay after 9, that your given a wrist band so you can wander from floor to floor without having to pay the entry fee 3) If you get there prior to 9pm and have a person or people you actually want to speak (and not yell at) the music is at a normal level so carrying a conversation is tres easy. Beware, after 9pm they PUMP up the volume so be prepared to yell your conversation after that time frame kicks in 4) And speaking of 'tres' this bar is tres chic, there is a ton of cozy seating, you can go find a booth which is semi private or go more public and choose a table out in the open (along with more cozy seats) 5) They have an 'L' shaped pool table, very weird but very cool and ultra different. I've never seen one quite like it anywhere else 6) The martini selection is pretty tasty (see my pix) and the prices are right up my alley (marginally priced and well worth it) 7) The absolute BEST part of my experience here at the VIP Ultra Lounge was Stephanie. The adorable, extra friendly bartender/waitress, literally, the best little thing located upstairs. Her personality ROCKED. She gave me mini tour and being that it was my first time here, while she toured, she explained all the bars (total of 4), their highlights and best times to have fun at each of them. Seriously treated me in TOTAL VIP fashion, what a gem!! The cool thing about this bar is that its connected to 3 other totally different (un-VIP, just made up that word) bars. So... if you get tired of being a snobby VIP, you can take your wasty face downstairs and kick it with the college kids. Good thing #8... if your walking sideways and acting like a drunk monkey, you'll blend right in :) Dance, scratch your butt, do a shot then fall on the floor, hey! Have a good time!

Once you are past the cheapest drinks you can buy phase of Chico life, come up to VIP Ultra Lounge. Check 'em out during happy hour to scout if you like it without paying a cover. I enjoyed my melon mojito- with none of the stickiness or smell associated with most the venues in Chico. I get that Chico isn't used to paying much of a cover charge at all, but I'd rather pay a cover and go somewhere gorgeous, comfortable & clean. I used to love the Bear & LaSalles, but you go there after a few drinks because otherwise you'd never get past the smell and in the door. You can smell them from outside. Yuck. Other than harping on the fantasticness of a clean place- my husband has enjoyed his drinks there as well, we've had tacos and a steak/gorganzola pizza during happy hour- all good stuff. And that explains why I'm headed there in 40 minutes to celebrate the end of my work week!

Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd describe it as "Chico nice" -- casual and trendy, but not fine dining or especially refined service. The food was okay to good, but nothing memorable. We ordered the avocado toast, chicken sandwich, a beer, and a sweet drink, and the total came to about $72. Everything was perfectly fine, just not the kind of food or experience that would make me want to return, especially for a birthday celebration. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual lunch, but it didn't feel particularly special for the price.
