Attended the Michigan Lavender festival and ordered a chicken sandwich. After ordering and paying, a sign went up in the front window saying they had run out of bacon, cheese curds, and several other items, both of which my sandwich included. Thinking I was safe because I already paid and ordered, I took my order. Nothing was said to me as I picked up my sandwich and left...seemed like employees were avoiding the pickup window. Needless to say, I discovered on my first bite that there was no cheese curds or bacon as advertised when I purchased. Only chicken, a slice of cheese, and some sauce on a bun. Wouldn't have paid even $5 for the sandwich I was given. The issue could simply be avoided if they just communicated they couldn't make my meal and offered me another option, but they were clearly trying to save themselves from embarrassment. If staff is trained better I think this could be a great food truck - much room for improvement on service and communication.
