Another year, another trip to Wilbert's! My partner and I made our second annual quest for the…read moreperfect tree this past weekend, this time with our puppy along for the ride. Wilbert's is a MASSIVE Christmas tree farm that spreads across both sides of Salt Road. They have pre-cut and u-cut, with the u-cut being significantly cheaper. We grabbed a saw and a cart and went on our journey. We probably should have gone across the street to hunt for our tree, as the POSTED SIGN suggested. I am sure there is a safe way to cross the street and get to another path of trees, but the dog was being annoying and we needed to get a move on hence...we went to the more baren side of the field. After finding some potentials that were dead on the inside, we landed on our perfect (slightly smaller this year) tree! The wrap up process is really easy and they even provide twine to adhere the tree to your car. You can show up with nothing, chop down a tree, and drive away with it all with the complimentary materials they have on hand. When I lived in an apartment, I headed down to the boy scout Christmas Tree station that was walkable from my house, and I think they were charging ~$65 per tree. Not the case at Wilbert's where a u-cut will only set you back $45. I highly recommend grabbing your fam and your pooch and heading to Wilbert's this holiday season!

I'm not sure how many different kinds of trees they have but i know it's more than 3. I don't know all the names of the kinds of trees because we always went for a Douglas fir. Each entrance has a team of guys and girls to check you out, shake the tree, cut off the bottom branches and help you put it on the car. They also have manual saws for you to borrow. The price does seem to go up every year which I'm not fond of but that's what keeps them in business I guess. They also sell wreaths and precut trees at a lower price. It's a great place to go to keep up a tradition and if you want a real tree for Christmas

My drink was under 6 dollars and was ready within minutes. The coffee nook is very cute and inviting. My drink was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. I loved walking around the shop with my drink. There are so many amazing eye catching displays to take in. I loved the variety of local vendors to choose from within the shop. I did not purchase anything this visit but I will definitely be back for more drinks and to peruse the shop selection. The Purple Painted Lady is such a vibrant spot and I'm happy to have it in our community.

Inside of this paint and furniture refinishing store is a cute little coffee shop run by staff inside of the purple painted lady! I was lucky enough to talk to the owner, Trish, who has built this place from the bottom up! I ordered a Maple Brown Sugar Latte and it was so good! My mom was able to go with me this time and ordered the Honey Lavender latte. She said she would order it again and loved it. Unlike me, my mother likes fruitier drinks. I on the other hand love sweeter drinks and my maple brown sugar latte lived up to that hype! While I was here, I picked up a cute souvenir from Rochester for my boyfriend and picked up some pumpkin butter for me! I also picked up some paint for a chair I'm repainting for our house and can't wait to use more chalk paint in the future (it's my favorite to paint with). The prices aren't awful as well! For a sampler can of lavender chalk paint, pumpkin butter, a sticker, two lattes, and a cute sign for mine and my boyfriend's house I spent around $35-$40 for everything. This year, I'm also excited to return to Rochester to hit up the Purple Painted Lady festival in September! (9/20/25-9/21/25). The charity they are sponsoring this year is the EYS - Embrace your Sisters foundation that supports Breast Cancer. I can't wait to come back for this festival because the foundation is so near and dear to my heart as my mother and grandmother are both survivors of breast cancer. I'm definitely returning before I leave for Boston to get another latte!

Even if you are not a huge Tudor fan, I would definitely recommend you stop by to check them out.

This specific writing is about my watch journey over the course of nearly 60 years. Finding an "automatic" watch in my grandmother's attic at the age of 7 and knowing what automatic meant should have been my first clue as to the importance of my watch relationship that would evolve over time. ( I'll spare everyone the majority of the details but suffice it to say there is a story behind each and every watch I have acquired.) I'm happy to say Gary, Amanda and Michele at Reed's all understand and embrace the importance to me of developing a story about watches I acquire and have each been personally involved "continuing down the path with me" for my acquisitions! The inventory selections Reed's have is very very important to me; getting to know and understand their nuances that speak most significantly to my interests. Yet, inventory selection is secondary to the exemplary knowledge and understanding Reed's staff brings to the table!! Thank you again Gary, Amanda and Michele for your continued help and expertise during our continuing relationship. Chuck

The decor includes old fashion tinsel & bubble lights & specialty ornaments by Christopher Radko and other lovely items that are folk artsy and just plain pretty. Beautiful towels for hostess gifts ( not everyone wants wine when your invited for dinner ) along with candles and singing carolers that people like to collect. I bought something that I am excited about. A new Christmas tree! I am down sizing ( more like de-cluttering ha) & no loner want the big tree with all that entails. I found a tree that is advertised as a flat tree. This one is 3 ft. tall and has a back ( unlike the no back tree) & front both with shorter branches giving the illusion that it is a full tree. It is already lite too. You can see me smiling, right? I can still have my tree without all the work. One regret: I do not have a picture of this tree decorated but I hope your curiosity will get the better of you & you will check this unique shop out. If you don't get a gift or two, you will certainly be in the mood for the holidays w/ all the beautifully decorated trees. Happy shopping everyone.
