He was communicative, kept me informed throughout the job, and made absolutely sure any issues I had were addressed. Rick's team also tested every cable run with a Fluke tester and verified that each run was properly shielded and capable of 10 Gbps performance. They were also attentive to the smaller cosmetic detail requests, including cable color, outlet style, and the specific placement of wall jacks. Although just about everything is expensive nowadays, the pricing for the scope and quality of work was reasonable. Professional installation. Great communication. The team ran 10 home run, CAT6 drops to various endpoints of our home. Installed and connected 6 outdoor security cameras. All the connections were terminated to a central patch panel and labeled. Wall plates and RJ45 connectors in each interior room were cleanly installed. Their team also facilitated getting an additional contractor out the next morning to patch and retexture any drywall they needed to remove to wall fish the cabling. I did a DIY drop of two Ethernet cables several years ago from the router in the garage to the other side of the house through the attic but I did not want to do this again as the need came up to run another Ethernet cable to the family room, initially as the need for wired Internet became more essential to feed a Roku, a smart TV, Ring security base, and a mini PC media hub. I searched Yelp and submitted requests for bids. Several bids were outrageous. However, I sent a bid request to Main Tech System (MTS) and spoke with Rick, the owner. I explained my project which had expanded to a whole house rewiring project, principally focused around the relocation of the Internet router from the garage to a closet inside the house. He explained what he would do and quoted a price. He quoted me a price I could not refuse and hired him. It was great working with Rick. He was responsive and accommodating. We spoke the night before and I requested an adjustment to the project, he was cool with the adjustment without changing the cost of the project. I truly appreciated this. He and his crew of two ran 7 Ethernet lines and one coax and moved the router from the garage to a closet inside my house, along with the installation of an electrical outlet in the closet. At several points during his 4 hours, he kept me involved by signaling possible concerns but with possible solutions to keep moving forward. I would recommend MTS to anyone who is considering a home Ethernet wiring project. Wi-Fi is good, wired Ethernet is AMAZING. Hell, if I'm paying for 1GB speeds but at best I'm getting 25% of the speed weak spots around the house, wiring for Ethernet direct connections and switches to expand, and also install localized WAPs (or a mesh network, it is so worth it. I had them install a 4 camera POE system. RJ did a great job mapping out the routes for the wiring before starting the install, trying to spare me some of the Ethernet ports I had in the garage. He also made sure to try and hide as much cabling as possible where I placed my DVR. Xavier climbed a pretty high ladder to place one of the cameras. Rick ended up having to come by as we had a slight issue with 2 of the cameras, which he was able to resolve. Very fair pricing, and great work. The only suggestion I have is they might want to consider investing in booties, just as a sign of respect when they're entering the homes. read more

Camera system options are not of good, professional quality. The mobile app and VRC system seems quite antiquated, not very user friendly nor does it seem to have enhanced customization. For the price that is being charged for the camera system and labor, it should be a lot better in my opinion. Had to end up having the camera system removed and a new system installed by another company and pay an electrican to do repair on top of that prior to the new system because of sabotage by one of the techs cutting the cables while removing the old system. If you want a good system, crystal clear camera quality, audio and all the bells and whistles well... this company is not it. Look elsewhere. read more

I was looking for a company to install my Ring Cam over my garage. I also needed someone to stop the "phantom doorbell rings" I was having at 2am. I checked with Angi's List and MTS and another company responded. I selected Main Tech Systems based on the positive reviews. Rick's worker installed the Cam while he problem solved the phantom ring. It was amazing how he identified the possible source of the problem and solved them one by one. He even ran out to buy a new chime box when he realized the current one was old and could be a part of the problem.
