Wow, the combos and endless possibilities of oil mixtures were so good. The owner appears to have a great passion for food and shared his knowledge. He took his time to explain the combos and safely give us samples. Not only did we purchase a couple bottles but we also visited their other store in Ogunquit a few days later to purchase our 2nd choice. We met his wife there who was equally nice and helpful. Love your stores! We will be back next summer.

    So many options!

The Quick: A crazy variety of different vinegar and olive oil's, ranging from 25 year aged balsamic to jalapeño lime vinegar. I've tried almost every flavor (yes I'm that girl) and always end up buying a few. The Details: sure, this type of shop exists in many towns now. Why do I like this one so much? The owners are usually working and are extremely friendly and helpful. The flavors are all scrumptious. And of course, the price cannot be beat! The Damage: $5 for a small bottle which is very competitive for these types of stores.

We stopped into Maine-ly Drizzle while visiting Kennebunkport and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Nick and Debbie (owners) welcomed us into their store the way you'd welcome a guest into your home. It can be overwhelming at first, with kettles of olive oil and vinegar lined up row after row, but don't worry... they've master'd their craft and will help guide you through the process. Nick would mix up different combinations of oil and vinegar and provide us details on the tastes and how they could be used. It was very educational. Everything he picked was a home run. The challenge became figuring out what to get. Along with all the oils and different food products in the store, Maine-ly Drizzle has a variety of pre-made gift boxes which are hand made by Debbie. We picked up some unique combos (e.g. expresso and an mushroom sage oil) for a relative hoping to have a pre-made gift box available. They didn't, but Debbie had her materials in the shop, so she made a custom gift box for us while we browsed around. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by. I've been to some other olive oil stores in the past, but this was a completely different experience. Nick and Debbie are extremely passionate about what they do, and it shows in their expertise and willingness to help educate customers. You will definitely be in for a good time. 5 Stars easily....

A bunch of other items are also available. I picked up the black truffle salt (bring on the popcorn ) and several Gluten-free dips

Stonewall Kitchens (York), Flo's (Cape Neddick), Above the Dam (Dayton), Kennebunkport Sauce Co. (KPort), Jack's Gourmet (North Monmouth), Captain Mowatt's (Portland)... you'll find 'em all here. There's also the infamous wall of hot sauce. We spent quite a while reading through some of the names, which included: - Ass Blaster - Colon Blow - Butt Pucker - Satan's Blood - I Am Sofa King Stew Ped - Queen of Farts - See Dick Burn - See Jane On Fire - See Spot In Heat - Sir Fartalot Oh, yes. There was laughing. Absolutely stop here if you're in Kennebunkport to see this. Not just for the schoolyard giggles, but because there really were a plethora of options to choose from (it's only August [as I write this], but I'm already feeling the stocking stuffer inspiration!). There was even a hot sauce that looked just like water... I can only imagine this would cause me serious heartburn. And yet, I'm intrigued. The only thing that kind of bummed us out was that when we showed up at 5pm, the woman working the store was cleaning up all the tasting stations. When we asked her if we should leave because it looked like she was closing up for the day, she said no - she'd be open for several more hours - she just didn't want the tasting stations out anymore. Huge mistake. We are girls who like to shop and probably would have ended up purchasing goods (as a matter of fact, at one point I had banana ketchup [which, mark my words, I am buying for my dad for Christmas], chili lime sauce [by my favorite, Cholula], and onion jam [by Stonewall, of course] in my hand that I ended up putting away because of the icy exterior emanating from the woman working) if we had had the chance to try them.
