I give this rating negative stars. One is not low enough!…read more The Office Experience was beyond terrible. I had a telephone appointment scheduled for 30 days out due to my worsening symptoms. Late in the afternoon prior to the telephone appointment, the office left a voice mail message stating that my telephone appointment was canceled as Dr. Malta doesn't do telephone appointments anymore. Instead, They assigned me an in person appointment without my confirmation of accepting the appointment. I didn't get the message until after the office was closed for the day. Also, there was a snowstorm coming that night into the next day. We live an hour away from the office. It's not easy to change plans on such short notice. The next morning, I called the Office to communicate that I was not accepting the appointment because of the snowstorm and the short notice. They marked it down as a no call no-show. During the phone conversation I was told that they understood that the weather was bad. 10 days before my previously scheduled in person appointment, I called to confirm the time of the appointment. They didn't have any record of my appointment that was scheduled four months ago. I had an appointment card and wrote the appointment on our calendar. Someone had deleted my appointment. When I tried to reschedule the March appointment they would only offer a late June appointment. After I filed a written complaint with the Office Manager, a 3/6 appointment became available. But the appointment was terrible! Dr. Malta would NOT listen to our concerns about the worsening long-term brain injury symptoms. Nor did he even try to read the notes I had been regularly electronically communicating about the increases in my symptoms. He seemed to have an agenda and didn't even try to listen. I explained that the side effects of the meds were too strong and I didn't take it in the morning anymore. His agenda was to quadruple] the dose. Another negative thing Dr. Malta did was to completely sabotage a disability claim. His professional comments on the medical questionare were written as let the clinical records speak for themselves. Yet the recent records only stated his increasing the dosage of two medications. There wasn't anything addressing the disabling brain injury symptoms. The whole purpose of seeing a neurologist was to get help with the increased long term (14 months) symptoms.

You end up in ER with active stroke symptoms. Stroke ruled out. See the Neurologist at this office…read moreat 10am, find out what it is. Told you need to be on a new medication for your condition. Electronic script sent over, that's what I was told. Pharmacy at 4, no script, Call the office, which is open till 4:30, that's what they have on their site & voicemail. Well its not, answering service, they will call you in 20 minutes...Call back 1 hour later, " oh we will try again " and they are not Doctors, I ask what happens, if they do not respond, answer, I don't know. So this office will get the bill, if I end up in the ER again...... No Follow Through
