I usually don't complain about my nails, especially during this time of Covid when people are trying hard but this was hands down the worst manicure/pedicure I've gotten. The staff was incredibly nice but I had to go home and re-file my nails because they were catching on things. I never leave reviews but I thought I should, I'm from Colorado and I frequently get my nails done I didn't have time before we left so when we got here I decided to make an appointment. On my way over I read all the awful reviews and got nervous, however for my experience it was great! The staff is amazing and incredibly nice and friendly. I went in with my sister who got gel nails and I got acrylics. I don't know her name but the kind lady who did my nails did a great job and In between the process she also stopped and would make sure I liked them. I went in to have a regular manicure and left with my nails looking terrible and my cuticles destroyed. To start with, he didn't even bother removing the clear nail polish I had on despite being told it was there. He picked up a buffer and began buffing the polish into my nails. My nails looked like I had chewed them off. I stopped him half way through because they were terrible and my cuticles were burning. The nails were uneven and literally looked like they had been chewed off after his attempt to file them. Then began yelling at me when I told him to stop. Never going back and don't recommend anyone else go there either. read more

We made an appointment for 2 pm. They took two walk ins before they took us @ 240 pm. I had gel nails filled and my family had 2 pedicures. They were so behind they gave very fast and inadequate pedicures. My gel polish was so thinned it barely covered my nail. When I ask for another coat on my nail she went around the perimeter which didn't help. Very sloppy polish. We drove to Rockland because they had an opening but we are staying in Damascattia. I wanted to buy my girl and her friend a pedicure for her bday .... Let's just say I should've sent them to TNT nails like everyone said but this one was closer . My girl was so disappointed in the professionalism and quality they did . The guy only had her feet soaking for a few minutes and gave her a sloppy nail job . Only used the dremel to remove my polish! When I spoke about it because I didn't want my nails thinned, she said it was easy and then applied to gel nail polish remover to almost bare nails. My experience at this salon wasn't the best one. First the color I chose wasn't the same as the manicurist used. Even though he went out of his way to convince me it was. He was very rough with my nails grabbing each tip hard and filing my skin as well as the nail. I asked that he keep the nail length , he didn't and filed them down to nothing. I had a picture in my phone of a flower design and he wanted to see it so I took it out and showed him. He attempted to paint flowers on my nails but kept getting frustrated and wiping it off. He then had another technician come over and do it. He never asked if I wanted it at all. Just kept trying , the other manicurist did a little flower and a squiggly line on two fingers. I was like, ok. Guess I'm stuck w that. Thanks for trying ? My nails were wet so the guy actually reached over and dropped my phone in my purse. He could've just left it on the station. Geez boundaries much ? After I dried my nails in the greasy hand dryers I got up to pay and he had added 10$ extra dollars to my sad attempt at a design he chose to try and do. I have to say the negative reviews of this place are completely legitimate. My nails are uneven, streaky, and have already started peeling two days after getting them done. They didn't make my damaged nails look any better they painted over hang nails and over grown cuticles and the gel coat paint has turned yellow from lack of uv curing. I'm really dissatisfied and disappointed with how they look. read more

Absolutely do NOT waste your time or incredibly wild amount of money here. Got a dip powder manicure and the technician didn't even fully take off my dark polish before hand (so you can see streaks of black through the light pink dip I chose). She didn't shape my nails at ALL - they're all different lengths including a jagged, broken pinky. Most of the dip powder is on my cuticles and the sides of my nails which I'll try to clip off later. Worst part of all is I was charged $60 for this. Unfortunately, I left my money with my sister to pay for mine because I had to leave early, otherwise I would've absolutely refused to pay for this service. Four of us for our nails done, and all of the results are of varying, but unacceptable quality. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I told them the ages, 10 and 11. They said $30. Then I got there and they put the 11year old in the pedi chair and after they started said, "oh by the way, we changed the price to $50 for the 11year old". I was infuriated. Was looking for an alternative to the overpriced resort nail treatments while staying nearby. I'd say I got what I paid for but not even. My French manicure is sloppy at best. We were staying in Nearby Camden for a few days. Couldn't find a salon in Camden that was open or had available appt for a pedicure. I ventured into Rockland to this awful place! I should have read the reviews before going here. This place is gross! No plastic liners in the foot basins! Water wasn't that hot and told him to make it hotter. The instruments were just thrown on a tray and weren't sealed in plastic like most other post - Covid salons do. Didn't look that clean. Dryers and chairs were dirty and stained! Worst pedicure ever. The male technician who did my feet didn't even scrape my heels. I had to tell him to do it. He did have gloves and mask on though, as did the other 2 female employees. The 2 customers at manicure stations were not, despite the signage that stated that they were required. I get the feeling that they were " regulars " here so they got a pass. He tried to talk me into the more expensive pedi, which I declined. Didn't turn on the massage chair or show me how to do it. Employees walking around barefoot! Nasty! For $35 this was far from a thorough pedicure. He was done in 20 min and he cut one of my toes when he was filing. Very rough! I didn't give him a large tip. I do love the color and have a wedding next weekend and won't have time to get a pedi when I get home. So it'll have to do. Do not go here! You have been warned! read more

I had my first pedicure ever at Mainly Nails Rockland & have been back about a dozen times. Today was my last visit! The young woman who said it was her shop talked down to my friend repeatedly. It made me extremely uncomfortable. The gentleman who was taking care of me also seemed uncomfortable but he was very professional & courteous. The other lady was fairly professional as well. Both were very apologetic. It was to be a birthday treat for my other friend & unfortunately my friend who got the brunt of the bad treatment was picking up the tab. We won't be back! read more

Made an appointment on a Friday afternoon for gel manicure and still waited 30 minutes after they took someone ahead of me. Instead of using foil and acetone like ever other nail salon I've been to, the manicurist removed my gel polish by scraping away at my nails until they were paper thin. Then applied coats that were bubbly and uneven. And my nails are now unhealthy, scratched up, and bending easily. I was on vacation, but would never go back. read more
