A few weeks ago I contracted with Innovative Painting and Restoration to have an extensive amount…read moreof work done. This involved complete exterior painting, various external repairs, replacement of a number of windows and reconstruction of a porch and railings. Several weeks of work would be required. As this is a rental property that I would be unable to constantly monitor, regular reports on the progress of the project would be essential. This company was highly recommended to me by local sources. From beginning to end, I could not have been more satisfied with the experience. The company owner Brian Jones was personally on the site and involved with his team on a daily basis. He provided me with a detailed report of all materials and labor at the end of each week, and also contacted me as any questions came up and not even the smallest deviation from the original contract was made without my understanding and approval. The work was completed on schedule, the cleanup was thorough and the results could not be more impressive. I would highly recommend Innovative Painting and Restoration and Brian Jones to anyone in need of the the wide range services they provide. I tend to be wary of the credibility of one or five star reviews, but I can truly not think of a reason to not give this one the best. So five stars it is.

Joe and his wife (who runs the admin for JB Painting) were rude and defensive during every step of…read morethe process. After the deposit was paid they kicked the project down the road for nearly a year and a half until they were threatened with a lawsuit. His staff did quality work despite no presence, supervision, or communication from Joe. He arrived for the final walk-through and demanded cash. I attempted to do a walk-through with him to show him a full panel on the front of the house that only had primer and no paint (as well as a few spots the painters had missed - nothing big at all). He demanded cash, said the job was done, and told me he wouldn't leave my property until he got his money. I demanded he leave the property no less than 25 times. I had to call 911 to have police officers address Joe. When he did leave my property, he looked me in my face, stepped on the break and gas on his truck. He spun out in my driveway leaving a 15-20 foot drag mark on my driveway flinging rocks and me and my toddler. They then parked outside of my house RECORDING me and my 2 year old (who was shirtless in my porch) until police arrived to collect statements. These people ARE VIOLENT AND MENTALLY UNSTABLE. I cannot stress enough that the quality of their worker's skills are good but their boss is either SEVERELY mentally ill or under the influence of drugs. I am currently pressing charges against Joe and his wife for these events.

I fired him after contacting him 3 times throughout the summer and (my mistake!) accepting his excuses for not showing up. By 11/15 I had had enough and asked for my down payment back, he basically told me to go eff myself, and refused to refund the money. Total creep, can't be trusted, rude, defensive and disrespectful. I'm actually glad he never showed up.
