Tillie now rules the roost!!! Love her so much!!

We adopted our little girl, Tillie last month, her mom was dachshund and dad was a Yorkie. She is so tiny and so adorable it's a sin!!!!!! Love her so so much and watching thier site so we can get her a little sister or brother soon!!!!! Great pups, nice people, very satisfied on my new family member!!!!!

We have had our Morkie for 2 weeks now, and couldn't be more in love! Steve Mason has been wonderful to work with over the past few months while we await the homecoming of our pup! At his first vet appointment he had some yeast in his ears and had giardia which are both very common in puppies you just bring home and Steve stuck true to his word that he would reimburse you for medication if they needed any at their first check up! Bosco is a very active, fun and silly boy and we are so happy we chose Mainely Puppies as our breeder! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I had a very good experience here getting my new Chiweenie puppy. I wasn't expecting a lot considering the reviews were not great. However, I found the place to be surprisingly clean and the owner is very nice. It was a very easy process. I asked to see the dogs I specifically wanted to see and they were happy to bring them out for me. I fell in love with my dog instantly. She was clean and happy.... as were all the other dogs I saw. I'm thankful for this place considering it's very difficult to get a puppy in New England. The price was not terribly high either. Don't assume it's a "puppy mill" just because they have a bunch of puppies. My new puppy is an angel! She was six months old when I purchased her and she clearly was a very happy dog and not abused.

Could not have asked for a more loving, intelligent, and well behaved little girl!

After losing her companion cat of 17 years, my girlfriend Steph did an exhaustive search for a new best friend and decided to fulfill her childhood dream of owning a Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix). After exhaustively researching the breed and casting a wide net for someone trustworthy, affordable, and ideally here in Maine, we stumbled upon Mainely Puppies. We got a good feeling talking to Steve (one of the owners), were thrilled when he agreed to open the store on one of his days off, and were impressed with how obviously happy and well cared for all the animals were. We couldn't be happier with our new Schnoodle pup. Daisy is a happy, healthy, intelligent second generation Schnoodle who is a loving and welcome addition to our family.

Hello, My retired friend is looking for a small adult dog that is house ,leash & crate trained. The dog wd join our pet therapy group. She has had dogs for many years but wants an adult dog.…

Do you have any dachshunds ? Or French bulldogs available now?

I don't have either at the present time. I have a litter of French Bulldog/Pug mixes (Frugs) that are a couple weeks old. They should be available early December I think.

Since my review on 4/4/24, I received no call from Corporate to address the original complaint I…read morefiled after the last incident. I resorted to engaging the Better Business Bureau in an attempt to get some answers. At this point, I felt their disabling of my online access and banning my dog from their grooming services was a retaliatory effort due to the complaints the store has received from me. Keep in mind those complaints sought to address serious fire safety violations, OSHA concerns and poor customer service from Management. I finally got a response in late April from the Corporate head quarters and this is what they said (I won't hide one word from their response). "After reviewing the feedback from our groomers/store partners, it has come to our attention that there have been multiple instances where they have felt disrespected and treated unprofessionally by you during the grooming sessions for your dog. This has created an uncomfortable working environment for our employees, which is something we take very seriously. As a result, you will not be groomed at this location in the future. And while we wish that we could further assist you, we have policies that we need to enforce, and we reserve the right to refuse service to guests as we see fit." First off, this is news to me because I have had great interactions with the 2 groomers I have ever worked with. When I asked for the dates of these occurrences so I can cross reference them with actual grooming appointments, they failed to respond. Unfortunately the consumer is to be blamed in this instance even though none of what they stated was true. I have my suspicions as to why the store would make up something like this, as I know a couple of the workers there and they would make up stuff just to ban a customer out of spite. I would use this store with caution, given if someone like myself who puts thousands of dollars a year into the store gets banned for "NO" reason, but a made up story so the workers are not disciplined for their actions then it tells me everything I need to know about their brand, mission and how they treat loyal customers. There are dogs who I have seen bite their groomers who are still being groomed today, yet my dog has done nothing and gets banned. Hmmm double standard here or just personal preference on the part of the groomers to choose who they feel should get their services rather than the consumer decide who gets paid for their services.

At the checkout I redeemed my coupon and signed up for a member program which would have made the price difference a non-issue. Showed up to this rundown house, I see this lady always making excuses in the comments for it was under construction or she was pregnant, believe her. She's a scammer. Anyway, the dogs are and even worse . My dog was underweight, matted, covered in ticks, covered in poop. , absolutely terrified of people. It is so unnatural for a dog to be terrified of people, I don't know what that horrible lady and her family did dogs, but I've had my dog for a few years now and terrified of humans. Act like she used to get hit and smacked and never has to take it and hide it and just awful to watch this dog be so scared of humans years after getting her and imagining what they must've done to her I can't imagine. Upon adoption, I brought her to the vet and the vet veterinarian immediately called and reported this lady because of the clear neglect mist treatment and abuse of her animals. I would hope nobody would ever adopt from here again and the word to make people more aware of how awful she is.

We were told that she would be "a great family dog." We inquired about he parents temperment and were told they would produce good family dogs. We decided not to bring her back to Doreen for training because we had heard mixed reviews from other owners who had used her. We instead went with a trainor with over 30 years experience. We did individual sessions as well as a 4 week long board and train, followed up by refresher sessions. Additinally we worked with our K9 officer who has many years experience working with and traing GSD. Our dog was more work than any other GSD we had ever raised but we continued to put in the time and effort. Keeping her challenged and exercised. Our trainer, the K9 officer and our vet had expressed concerns about our dog and the breeder, but felt if we kept putting in the work she would become more confident and secure. Unfortunately, just shy of 18 months, she started getting more skittish and anxious. She started growling and cowering, and bit 2 family members. When we sought the advice of our trainer, K9 office and vet, they all stated we need to either return her to the breeder or euthanize her. We reached out to Doreen and she stated she did not have any room and could not accept her so "just put her down.' We were shocked. We continiued to try to work with the dog and our suppprt system but finally came to the conclusion that she must be euthanized. We again reached out to Doreen and she exhibited no concern for our dog or family. She admitted that the father could be very difficult to deal with and "she doesn't push him" but she had no way to not that our dog's behavior was genetic. She made no offer to evaluate our dog's behavior and never questioned our training process. When we asked if this had happened before, or is dogs were ever returned to her she stated "2-3 dogs per year get returned". Unacceptable. Most breeders have not had 2-3 dogs returned to them in a lifetime. We then asked if she would return our fee and were told no and "fine just bring her back." From the beginning of this experience we never felt we would return her to Doreen as she created this problem. We have now euthanized our dog. We are saddened and shocked by this turn of events. An honestly sick about the fact that Doreen will continue to breed animals. Find another breeder!!!!!!!
