Before hitting the highway for the long drive home, I stopped at the flea market to browse around and buy a couple of hoodies if I found any I liked. While walking through each of the air-conditioned buildings, I noticed that the atmosphere wasn't as lively as it used to be about 10 years ago. This time around, the flea market feels like a ghost town, with more than a few empty stalls and vendors sitting down hoping for customers. The vendor I bought sunglasses from during my last visit was still around, so I checked out the many selections and bought two new sunglasses at a good price. I also met a nice female vendor selling t-shirts and hoodies, and purchased two items from her. Looking forward to coming back to amuse my eyes on my next visit. read more

We had fun exploring this flea market as I seen it on tik tok. I was disappointed because these places lack variety. Yes it a lot of vendors but it's the same shop same vendor at every section. I did like that you can bargain your prices and get bang for your buck but it's all the same this flea market and the world of food trucks I need originality something different that you won't see in the other end. I had such a great time at maingate flea market! The prices are amazing and I was just so surprised at how reasonable everything was. I scored an awesome cowboy hat and I was able to get some beautiful jewelry which included earrings and Bangles which I consider to be very unique items. Also, I was extremely impressed with some of the food trucks that they had at this location. Some of the food trucks included sushi, Latin fusion food, as well as pizza just to name a few. The place is virtually empty in high shopping hours. I found all the booths to be the same. Lots of shirts. There are a couple "hawkers" who shout out at you to buy their merchandise. It advertises a ton of food trucks. It should say a "ton of food trucks closed all the time". You can't draw customers without new stuff, well priced stuff, being open during stated times, a friendly smile. This place didn't check any of the boxes on my two visits, both very brief. read more

Came here without any expectations. Wasn't looking to buy anything just window shopping. Plenty of parking and this is a huge lot. Most of the vendors are selling the same things. The only unique vendor is the guy selling African trickets! None of them accept cards just cash so that sucks. They do have an atm but I wasn't paying to shop. Arrived at 10:00 am on a Friday when the market opened. Hardly any vendors were open during the time we were there. A waste of time.

So here's one of those places you go and think, why do they call it a flea market? Best tip: Park in the back because it's not crowded and easy to navigate. The good thing about this place is that there's AC in the buildings. Go to Bldg B-D, skip A because there isn't much in there. My fav part was finding the employee that was full up into her sleep mode zen. The items that are sold are very much items you find at a souvenir shop at a cruise port. Lots of fresh in the box items, some with typos on the shirts, weird tools, knick knacks, housewares, oils, and even get your hair braided! Each bldg has a smell now A smelled like warm blueberry muffins while D smelled like hot Chinese fried rice. The food for looked mighty suspicious. So make it what you will when you visit, but you might find something good here. read more

I'm leaving 2 stars because I know there are some people generally trying to make a living sell stuff there. Now, to be honest this place sucks. It's 95% knock off or damaged Disney stuff. The other 5% is a mix of cheap jewelry, phone cases, clothes, and very cheap toys. There is some food there, a Chinese buffet and Mexican food. I wouldn't eat the food there. It looks like it's been sitting for hours and it's not covered. The arcade area, hhhh man, has the oldest version of Tetris, the Atari Mario Bros game, and a handful of broken and dismantled games laying around. The place is huge, but it's all the same crap. Over and over, every aisle has pretty much the same stuff. Unless this place has a massive overhaul, it's probably doomed. read more

I used to remember this one from years ago. We try to atop to all of them when we visit on short to long vacation getaways. We stopped by this time n me n the little one went ahead of mom. We went through all the buildings n noticed something. No matter where u are in the whole flea market? U aren't missing out on what the other buildings got! Shirt shirt, disney shirt, dresses n bags. The only thing that was a bit different were the quality of the clothes n that types of tech. I do admit there is only one person selling roasted nuts n candy. 2-4 people Doing print to hot press n only one person using automated sowing machines to make costume made stuff. There is a collection of old arcade machines in a wall and the food court was just sad. The only thing open was a "all you can eat Chinese place" there was enough food for me n my little one. Lol $6.99 tag. It look like someone bought two combinations n placed them on a hot plate. Everything else had no names n was boarded off. I feel that if they changed the menu to samishes n salads? They would sell more. Also a boba tea place n a ramen place would bring in people. We over heard a guy trying to upsale a cool food truck with the best ice cream n so we followed him like creepy people do. On the way i rescued a giant beetle n walked it to the trees behind the building. We missed it while we power walked the buildings but alas... it was closed. The menu pictures looked very delicious. They were like soft serves with fruit chunks. Other than that? Come if u like discounted clothes, they got nice varieties of everything. They had the tiny nintendos with 250 games to for $24.99 not $200 like the ones online. It's a nice nostalgic experience if you are bored n want to escape the sun. I want to come back on a weekend n hope its more lively. Seriously I recommend someone opens a ramen n boba place there! Get a kid dressed like boba cup n dance outside! I got turned around in a parking lot, and found this flea market by accident. From the outside, the curb appeal is unattractive, and doesn't look inviting, but once your inside, it changes into a colorful, active place. There are four large, detached buildings in the same area, with a lot of little open/unwalled stores inside. There is a tiny food court, with a limited amount of snacks to purchase, and almost anything, and everything you can imagine inside from furniture to jewelry, to kids toys, to beauty supplies, to large wall pictures, and the list goes on. Each store is large enough to walk around in comfortably, (one person at a time) and shop. The walkways/pathways are very wide, making it easy for a family of four to walk down without disturbing, or bumping into other shoppers. This is a nice cool, clean and well ventilated place to come for a change of pace. read more

Once upon a time, a flea market was a place where old grandpas would show up with a pile of random crap in a church parking lot on any given Saturday, and you never knew what you were going to find. While on our second day of vacation in Orlando, it turned out to be a stormy day, so instead of going to a previously planned theme park, we decided to visit this huge indoor flea market instead, which happened to be near to where we were staying at. But one of the main reasons we made a day of it here was because Joe K was determined to try out a Caribbean eatery inside that was given good ratings on Yelp. There are four warehouse size buildings that are side by side (A,B,C & D). We started at building D where the small food court was located. Since it was around lunch time, we went straight to the Caribbean Jerk & Grille. Placed our orders and had a delicious meal as we enjoyed watching a thunderstorm happening outside the window by our table. (Something we don't get to experience much anymore in drought ridden California). After we were pleasantly full, we began exploring all that this flea market had to offer. It turned out to be similar to a few places I have been to back home, but on a much larger scale. For those of you who have never been to this style of shopping, it almost looks like a department store, but it is divided into various sections by invisible walls of merchandise. Each business owner leases their space. You'll find a large selection of wares available from clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, toys, gifts, general store stuff, housewares, decorative items, perfumes, beauty supplies, and even theme park souvenirs. The prices are usually cheaper than what you will find at regular stores. One of the vendors by the name of Jun (in building B), sold us a couple of much needed compartmentalized shoulder bags that made our touristing so much easier! He was very nice to us and even gave me a free gift of a couple of frames! Not sure why, since he only sold bags, wallets and purses. Maybe he just wanted to get rid of them. But anyway, it was a nice gesture, except it didn't dawn on me until later that I would still have to pack them for my trip home! LOL! I had a lot of fun spending a few hours of our time and money here! We found some bargains we couldn't resist and some items I wanted to think about and maybe come back for on another day. We dined downstairs at the buffet. Very nice salad bar with all the things I like. The main buffet had may comfort foods that were very tasty. Price was reasonable and if you didn't want the full buffet you could just partake of the soup, salad, and dessert bar (yummy). The price was reduced. Full buffet $20, SS&D bar was $14. Flea markets like Maingate have popped up all over the country. These are not the kind of flea markets where you buy used baby clothes and worn out tools off of the tailgates of pickups. No sir! These are comprised of endless vendors of cheap imported merchandise. Sure, the products are not top quality, and the displays cannot begin to compete with Macys and if you just walk down the center of the aisles with your mouse ears on and your pompous attitude you are going to miss out on some genuine treasures. I started with a ridiculously delicious lunch at Caribbean Jerk & Grill and followed it up with a humongous glass of pineapple coconut juice for only $4 before I even began wandering around looking for bargains. Did I find any bargains? I found an utterly fantastic "I Got Haters Everywhere" t-shirt and a brand spanking new shoulder bag/ murse very thinly covered in genuine leather. You may think this is no big deal but it was very important to me. Especially that murse so I could easily carry my oversized cell phone, a portable cell phone charger, a rain poncho for all those summer thunder showers, my much needed medication, a small roll of toilet paper to finish off the job after beginning with the amusement parks low quality stuff, my portable swamp cooler/mister fan, and my much needed bottles of water. I probably could have found a much better quality murse along with the opportunity to name drop at a factory outlet mall for $400 - $500 but this $15 murse did the job quite nicely and has since gone into semi retirement. Overall great value at this flea market. One of the cheapest aracde games for the Kissimmee area can be found at this flea market, costing only about 50 cents US per play (compared to lhotel lobbies or other amusement parkings cost upwars of $1 or more per play), but it is older arcade machines. Some of the Flea markets vendors are open to haggling, especially if no hard sticker price is found on the products. Like my family vendor who is able to buy small luggage for about $25 or wallet for about $3 USD, cheaper than any other store in the area (except for maybe the thrift / second hand stores who might be able to go even cheaper). Also "China-A-Buffet" in building D is probably the cheapest buffet in Kissimmee I know of, for $7 per meal of mostlyrfried food and limited selection, but good enough to fill up. Its just a shame that flea market door closes quite early around 6pm every night. More business competition is better for cusomters than monopolies! read more

I had a binge of flea markets for a few weeks, and visited them to see all the random stuff that we had. One of the flea markets that we stopped at was the Maingate Flea Market in Kissimmee. The thing that made this flea market lucky was the location. That location was across the street from Unos Chicago Grill Pizza. I'm a Chicagoan and I have to drive all the way from Tampa to come here for true yummy pizza. Other than that, this flea market is good for the tourists who need that special Disney stuff for a little bit cheaper than at Disney World. That's really the majority of the flea market is that, amongst the usual purses, random stuff, jewelry, cell phone stuff etc. I really feel like the tourists who want that Disney stuff for a tad cheaper would most favor this place. Products tend to repeat themselves from vendor to vendor, so it gets a bit boring after awhile (we left at the 2nd building). Definitely a good classic flea market. There are three buildings and each one is filled with tons of different vendors. You have mock sunglasses, purses, shoes, jewelry, phone cases, etc. There's even since pretty good food and fruit vendors. The vendors themselves seem a little edgy, with reason, I can imagine how often people steal from them. But the majority of them are Asian or middle eastern and they do not play when it comes to stealing. You are definitely being watched when you're browsing. I personally enjoyed the sunglass booths and the baseball caps. This is an awesome place for tourists looking for some souvenirs. The variety of hats, travel bags, sunglasses, and t shirts is endless. I even found an awesome fanny pack. Anyone who enjoys thrifting would definitely have a blast here. And you can get some really awesome deals. The variety of jewelry is really nice as well and you can find awesome gifts for friends and family. Nice that it's indoors. The vendors are all nice and most are not too pushy. A lot of repeat vendors so seeing one of the four buildings was pretty much like seeing them all. Souvenirs, knives, toys, and jewelry for the most part. Most of the stuff I could get somewhere else for cheaper and it wasn't handmade so I was surprised at the higher prices. The buildings seemed worn down and a lot of stalls were not in business. First of all, it is air conditioned! That is one of the most important things for me when looking for a flea market, especially in the Florida heat. They have quite a few booths in multiple buildings. You can haggle prices and if they don't budge, walk a few steps and you will find someone else with the same item willing to wheel and deal. I'm giving this place one star. Avoid the shady as hell Indian guy in building B. Called me Jackie Chan, just cause I'm Asian from California, guess what bro, you're Asian too. He sells this supposedly stuff for glasses that stop fogging, and crap, and jewelry cleaner. The cleaner works like any other crap you can find in a jewelry store, but he takes your glasses, tells you to breath then right before your breath touches them, he pulls it away, saying "see no fog" it does fog, my wife saw it and I saw it on hers. Full of arrogant attitudes! A Lot of vendors yell- yes yell at you to not touch their stuff. How else are you supposed to look and see if you want to purchase it. Building C is the worst offender; specifically Avoid the rude lady and her stand at the end nearest to 192 and the door. She wouldn't allow us to smell the oils that go with an oil burner we bought at another stand. She yelled "don't open the oils!" . I'm sorry, how else am I supposed to see if I want to buy your nasty smelling oils or not. There is a lot of over priced run down junk that you can purchase for a fraction of the price at a dollar store. Mainly Orlando souvenirs. If you enjoy being harassed as you walk by, people telling what you can and can't look at in their stand, and a bunch of repeat items booth after booth, then this is the place for you. The maingate flea market has lots of shops and offers discount Disney products (pens, shirts, watches, cups, etc.). There are knock off purses, tees, perfumes, an as seen on tv store and other items. Once you go once, you may not need to revisit. Most booths have the repeat, same merchandise. You can probably find some of the same items at the nearby Walmart for slightly less. The food court in building D has an unbelievable, offensive odor that makes your knees buckle. You get a slight whiff of it in building C that gives you a preview. I avoid going in this building even if I have to use the restroom. I'd drive to the next state with a full bladder before going in there. read more
