As you know being a part time mum, part time accountant and full time sex symbol has left little…read moretime for garden care. Despite the popular belief that with a good attitude and mulch (not organic #fucksnails) you can create your own garden fantasy on your moderately priced and sized apartment rooftop. After concluding that the stench that seemed to follow me around was not my raging gonorrhoea, I did some serious digging (only the metaphorical type). The boys over at Northern Beaches Gardencare took a literal dig around my blooms, and found my dear lover rats (rest in peace angels, you will be missed. I hope you're in a cleaner place now), Anastasia and Christian i can only hope your nibbling on a nicer woman's veggie garden. Ryan at Northern Beaches Gardencare really put the care in Gardencare. This lovely man gave me, not only a shoulder to cry on, but a shoulder to nibble on. He pulled out his massive shears, starting with a slight trimming of the garden pine. Taking extra caution to not over-hydrate my sopping gardeniers, he still gave them a healthy dousing of fluid. He rounded out the trip with a full fertilisation to my tender flower, and not nine months later in the spring there were blooms. In simpler terms, I was his ho (Literal and metaphorical). You may have noticed the hesitance in my 5 stars, this was becuase despite the fantastic bush trimming this was not a Northern Beaches Gardencare at all but my neighbour Jeff who was unregoginsiable without glasses (Thanks alot specsavers).

I really respected their knowledge and ability. Also unlike a lot of other garden centres and…read morelandscape people, they were great with customer service and being able to get the right person for what I needed. They mowed and cleaned up, and did a lot of hedge trimming and mulching. Would use them again for our beach property. Good luck'

They even had an entire section of pots and planters, some locally made by artists. My favorite thing was the little skull planters with a cactus in it that looked like a brain. They even called it "The Brain." I also found a very pretty peperomia, which I wish I could have taken home. It was nicely variegated and I haven't seen those colors before. We parked across the street and down the road but it wasn't a far walk at all. We had come from a small cafe.

Newtown Garden Market has everything you need to make your flower or vegetable garden thrive, or make your indoor herb garden ever-so fruitful. There are countless varieties of plantables, yes. But there are also plenty of things to fill your outdoor space with artsiness and style. I couldn't help but marvel over the tin garden sculptures of animals. Fashioned out of recycled materials (or so it seemed), these creatures are creative and somewhat abstract. Position one or two next to a solar powered gurgling bird bath and you might never want to leave your garden again. For me, I was drawn to the succulents. Spiky, cute, and virtually un-kill-able, these little bad boys are my favourite. Maybe it's because they also make me feel like a bit of a badass. It's not true, but a girl can dream, can't she?
