This evening, he sent a text to my wife - not me, chauvinist much? - telling her he is passing on the job, we got a free power wash (he only did half that job), and we should "loose his number." Meanwhile, all of the shutters were removed from my house. Who does that?!? We had Stan do the interior of the house in the fall, and had a good working relationship that we agreed to working together this spring. So, to experience this sudden and unprofessional behavior is absolutely inappropriate, and certainly not what I'd expect. It certainly comes across as unhinged. Find someone else!

The day they came out and started the install it was pouring all day. The hatchway area was open…read morefor a good 4 plus hours getting completely soaked since there was no canopy being used. The job was not completed that day and nothing was cleaned up. The big issues at the moment are the hatchway is not attached to the foundation. It actually sits over an inch from the foundation on one side and almost an inch on the other. The siding at the top is cut and bending over the top. Even now when I press on the metal plate water squeezes out. The hatchway is unusable now for a month. The company said there was no permit needed but in South Windsor there is a permit needed which makes me wonder how they don't know this already. There is no follow-up happening with this company. My hatchway has been covered with a small tarp for 2 months now. Earlier they said they could not seal the hatchway and will schedule that time, haven't heard again. Over three weeks ago I asked about getting it done and was told they will set up a time, no word. The initial install was December 16 ,It is now February 16 and still no word. Currently I still have an unusable hatchway sitting off the house, no sealing and bent vinyl siding where a hatchway top should sit. I made a error and missed an email about a week prior mentioning that they would like to come out and finish. We ended up getting it finished by 3-4-26 . The person that came mortared the wall and closed off the openings. He also sealed around the base and explained to me what was done. The site was cleaned up and he let me know the hatchway needs to get painted soon. It was iffy there for a while but things were finally complete and it all looks ok. No rain yet to make sure the seals are holding but they look good.

After leaving a voice mail, Frank called me back within a day or two, had a good conversation about what we needed, and he promised somebody would come over by the end of the week. Sure enough, a few days later I got a phone call saying they were doing a nearby job the following day and would like to stop by when it was convenient. I forget the gentleman's name, but the next day he arrived when we agreed, we spoke for 10 mins or so as he scoped out the property and the job, and he explained Frank would call back to get me on the schedule. Frank called back soon after, and we scheduled the job maybe two weeks later, toward the end of June. On the appointed day, the crew showed up about 8am, did their job, cleaned up, and was done by noon. While the house looked great, we were most concerned with our gutters. There was one dam in the front and another in the back, causing a waterfall. My biggest concern was water backing up and seeping into the attic. After Dr. Roof N Shine's work, I'm happy to report that there is no more damming in my gutters and water is flowing to the down spouts as expected. I used somebody else a few years ago and while the ultimate job was fine, the interactions I had left a lot to be desired, not to mention the cigarette butts in my front landscaping and sidewalk. Having no idea on the hardware manufacturer, I called Carefree to inquire so I could get a replacement part. They informed me the installation has a lifetime warranty and offered to schedule a free onsite replacement. Of course I accepted their offer. The technician arrived on time and took care of the issue in short order. He was pleasant and professional when I asked him a few related questions. As he was leaving he told me "call us if you have any other issues, we'll come out and take care of them for you." Overall, a very pleasant experience.
