Super sweet and so easy to chat with - again you don't want to leave! The girls make you feel so at home. 20 years ago, a stylist in downtown NYC blade-cut my hair and it never looked that good again. I've asked for it before and I guess it's either a dated or awkward way to cut hair. Nicole understood and gave me that messy texture I've been looking for. I'm a mess and like my hair to match that mess. LOL. She nailed it. Point being, she listened and gave me what I wanted! Not Just a Haircut! This was a fantastic experience. The artist had recommended Ann specifically, so I made an appointment for a haircut and to discuss adding a bright color to add depth and fun. I'm so glad I went! She gave me an excellent razor cut with layers, more or less a soft shag, that two months later is still working for me! I am thrilled to find a stylist who can do that on the first cut: that requires not just talent but also skill. Plus Ann is nice, I was very comfortable talking with her, and look forward to going back soon for a trim and to add some bright tropical color to make it more fun! The salon is nice, with amenities that make customers feel very at home. This review reflects the quality of service I received from her specifically. Due to what I believe was a lack of appropriate training and oversight, my hair was severely overprocessed during a gray blending session. The bleach was left on my hair for over an hour--possibly up to an hour and a half or longer--which resulted in extensive breakage and damage all the way to the roots. The entire front section of my hair has either broken off or fallen out completely, leaving me with very little hair in that area. Every strand that was treated is compromised. I am devastated by the outcome. There is no simple fix for the damage that was done. If you were to draw a line from above my right ear across the top of my head to my left ear, nearly all the hair in front of that line is either missing, falling out, or reduced to short, broken strands. It will take years for that hair to fully grow back. All I wanted was to embrace my gray, and now I'm left with devastating results instead.

I was never told that the look I am aiming for could not be achieved. Niki admitted the stylist, Lauren, should've added lowlights and wasn't sure why it wasn't done. She refused to add the highlights and said it required an appointment, which I would have to pay for. She toned it, but the problem was far from fixed. I also pointed out my haircut looked choppy to Lauren, and she casually said the bottom was shorter, but didn't bother correcting it. I now have to spend another $500 elsewhere to fix it. Mistakes happen -- but how a business handles them matters. Unfortunately, this salon avoids accountability and clearly doesn't prioritize their clients' satisfaction. Save yourself the headache.
