I was a client of the salon when the ownership changed hands. It's been a couple of years and I think Tiffany (new owner) has done a wonderful job. She has remodeled the space and updated the menu and services. What I love is that for the most part I see the same technicians working every time I go, which is every two weeks. My appointments are with Julie, who is exceptionally talented at what she does. She's a perfectionist, she checks her work and if she sees one teeny thing, she won't simply leave it. She is always up on the latest techniques (thank goodness, because what do I know ). Her pedicures are beautiful. And if you love pedicures, they have these very comfy chairs which will massage you while your feet are being pampered. They have a menu of many other services to choose from as well. I have a standing appointment and I always get a text reminder two days before my appointment. They do run specials all the time but if you are looking for a more budget conscious nail salon then this place might not be right. I don't find it over priced, like you'd find in a spa or resort but just check before you book. It's a nice experience and Tiffany has done a beautiful job remodeling it and is usually always there making sure things are being taken care of. As someone on the taller side, I braced for the usual knee-to-chin struggle, but instead, I sank into one of those chairs and instantly felt like royalty. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine enthusiasm, immediately making me feel like a welcome guest rather than just another appointment. After settling in, one of the technicians offered a thorough consultation, asking about my preferences and suggesting the jelly pedicure package. It sounded playful and luxurious--exactly what I needed. As soon as the jelly soak began, I was hooked. The soft, squishy texture and soothing warmth created a little oasis for my feet, while the attentive staff pampered me with exfoliation, massage, and meticulous nail care. The experience was unhurried and indulgent, allowing me to fully sink into the relaxing atmosphere of the salon. By the time the last coat of polish dried, I was grinning. I really struggled with writing this review because The vibe in the salon was great. They were playing good music and it was nice and clean. The staff was genuinely kind, and I can tell they use quality products. Now. . I went in for the $35 classic pedicure it came out to 55$ I did agree to gel polish instead of regular nail polish, but I wasn't told there would be an additional charge. So I left confused about where the extra 20$ charges came from. For my nails, I asked for short square acrylics, but got hard gel instead and ended up with a coffin shape. I also agreed to chrome, not realizing it was an additional $15 until I overheard it being discussed to the cashier afterward. Had I known the price beforehand, I probably would have chosen a regular finish. My total came to $140 so I only left a 5$ tip for each technician. I normally tip much more, and I absolutely would have if the pricing for the add-ons had been explained before they were applied. I'm not writing this expecting anything to be compensated. I actually told my technician that I'm a Yelper which I never do, but the conversation came up when she asked "what do you do for fun" because I value supporting local businesses. I'm also intentionally not mentioning anyone by name because I genuinely liked everyone I interacted with. This review isn't about any one employee it's about improving communication and transparency. My only suggestion is this: if a client is offered an add-on, simply let them know the price before the service is performed. A quick, "Would you like gel? It's an additional $20," or "Chrome is an extra $15," would allow customers to make informed decisions without any surprises at checkout. I will definitely be coming back and trying a different technician because I believe the salon has quality products and friendly staff. Better communication about pricing would make a huge difference and would have made this a much better experience for me. read more

Made appointments in the morning for 12pm for two pedicures. When we showed up it slightly appeared as though the appointment from online didn't fully go through even though we had our confirmation texts- they did take us though no worries. The deluxe pedicure and up comes with a NA drink which is just adorable! This was also one of the best pedicure leg massages I've ever gotten! We had come from a dance class and so I was a little sore and the tech I had really worked out my muscles felt really good. read more

I am not a big review writer, but Maiya's nails and Tiffany and her team deserve more than 5 stars. IMO, you go to a business for their technique and atmosphere. But, you make an extra effort when the owner and staff go the extra mile. I took my mom because she came to AZ for medical treatments and needed ingrown help. Unfortunately, today was not the best day for her. Tiffany was very caring, helpful and accommodating. All the staff were! . Mom was super happy and then became frustrated. It was just one of those bad days. They made both of us feel very comfortable. We atleast got her ingrown taken care of and toes painted. We will be back for the mani. When we got outside and into the truck, she felt bad that she didn't give Tiffany a hug and thank the gentleman that did her feet. If you are choosing a place for mani/pedi, there are many places, BUT, if you want a place with technique and compassion, I highly recommend Maiya's!! The new owner, Tiffany, came around and introduced herself and was very sweet. I enjoyed both services, but was particularly impressed with the hard gel manicure. Miu took great care in perfecting my cuticles (which are naturally terrible), and great attention to the shape and polishing of the nails. I was extremely happy with the end result.
