Let me start by saying I'm very picky about my nail shape and color. I've been getting my nails done by Lily for over a year now, and she is the absolute best. I do hard gel and am extremely particular about shaping, and Lily always gets it exactly right. If you happen to see a photo in the reviews where someone has very bold or unusual nails, it's because they asked for that style, not because it's the salon's default approach. Lily is great at listening to what you want and executing it beautifully. Their prices are also very reasonable compared to other salons in the area, especially for the quality of work you receive. It's a family-owned salon, which makes it even nicer to support a small local business. Parking is easy, appointments generally run on time, and they're respectful of your schedule by finishing when they say they will. This is my go-to nail salon! I had been trying to find a good place to get my nails done after moving to Phoenix, and I'm so happy I found this place. I've gone here a few times already, and they always do a great job! I'm always super happy with the results. They are perfectionists with their work. You can tell that they care about doing a great job. It's also worth noting that they're very gentle when using the drill bits. That's something that matters to me since the drills make me a bit nervous. I've never been nicked here. Also, they really know how to do acrylics. I've been to other places that gave me overly thick, misshapen acrylics, but the nail techs here know how to make them look natural. Every staff member here is super friendly and welcoming. THE GOOD; I recently moved from The Bay Area and came for mini-pedis. This is a large salon with good massage chairs and they use plastic liners which is a plus. CHRIS does good and very fast work. NANCY is amazing as she did my husband s pedi with care for his diabetic feet. Mr. T does a very nice job of you are comfortable with the process. THE BAD: I am used to paying upwards of $180 for my husband and I-- for the past ten years- in THE Bay Area but we are talking super class, upscale, champagne. Regretfully, $200 seems high for this location and for two exfoliation pedicures, callus removal (up-sale item)added for $10 for one of the pedis, and one gel manicure with tips (up-sale added). My hands were not soaked prior to the limited cuticle work and I did not receive cuticle oil which or hand lotion or oil massage after the manicure. Because of the dry conditions here, care is needed to use oil/moisturizing. I asked for a gel manicure and was told that tips would be "better"- which is considered "up-selling" and which not what I requested or wanted. Listen to your new customer if you want to have them return. I did not want tips, I did not want to have long nails- I DID state this and was abruptly told "shaping is done at the end.."it was not and my nails are too "long" for my job. FURTHER THEY WERE NOT "TIPS"- they incompetently placed a FUL FAKE THICK UGLY ACRYLIC NAOL OVER MY ENTITE NAIL and covered it with gel. Horrible thick and dangerous for my medical condition. Finally, and most of all-I requested a female when I booked the on-line appointment but they did not address nor accommodate the request. My mistake for not leaving. There were only two ladies working so I do understand, and I should have spoken up, but I did not want to offend anyone simply because it is uncomfortable for me to have two men working on my hands and feet. Read the room and understand that women may have very strong concerns for very specific reasons. My husband who was with me (for his perfect mani-pedi by Nancy!)knew that I was upset. Regretfully, I cannot return. This after $60 total in tips paid before final pricing was paid at the counter. *Note: I am not reviewing my brow waxing experience.* read more

I bring in pictures of what designs I want for my nails and Lily pays such close attention to detail and is always so patient while making sure they look exactly how I asked for. I had a very unpleasant experience at this nail salon today. I have been here several times before, but this visit was extremely disappointing. They suddenly charged me an extra $15 without informing me in advance. They claimed $10 was because my nails were "too long" and took extra time, and $5 was for changing the shape. In reality, my nails were less than 1 inch long, and I did not change the nail shape at all. None of these charges were discussed or agreed to before the service began. The service also took longer than usual, not because of my nail length, but because the technician was very slow and lacked skill. He spent a long time working on my nails, and the glitter did not even look shiny. Because I was in a hurry, I eventually told him to stop and remove the glitter. The French design was done very poorly and looked sloppy. To make matters worse, when I questioned the extra charge, the staff threatened to cut my nails shorter if I refused to pay. This was extremely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I have never heard of a salon charging extra just for having slightly longer nails, especially without prior notice. The pricing felt arbitrary and unfair, and the service quality did not match the cost at all. I will not be returning. read more

I always come in as a "walk in" and every time they accommodate me. The longest I have waited is maybe 10 min...literally nothing. The workers are very attentive and kind, they always ask what I want to get and offer a beverage. I always love their work, my pedicure is always on point after I leave this place. I've been going to Trendy Nails for the last year. They are the best in Scottsdale!!! I am pretty simple, I like to just get a dip manicure and will occasionally do something fun like tips or chrome. I've been to every tech they have and would recommend any of them. They offer free snacks and drinks and give cute little goodie bags or desserts around the holidays (for Christmas they gave out a goodie bag with a filer, cuticle oil, hand lotion, and a punch card with 2 already punched). I do love this nail salon although the last four times I've walked in no matter it be the early morning, afternoon, anytime. They are unable to accept me saying I need to schedule 2-3 days in advance. This is not a walk in salon. Very disappointing, I can't get a simple fill (30 min service) no matter what. I'm posting this review simply because I was in the salon when that review called, and her review is false. I tried reporting it however, apparently you can't dispute a review based on truth? Which seems weird. Anyway, She called first thing this morning and the salon was understaffed and over booked. She wanted a pedicure and a manicure but only wanted to continue with that manicure if it was "good enough", which the way she spoke was insulting from the get go. The team did their best to accommodate, however couldn't guarantee her a manicure unless she made an appointment based on the sheer volume of clients that were there at door open. The client wanted the appointment cancelled since she wasn't able be guaranteed a manicure by her own refusal to make an appointment. Which, the team did for her. She then called the salon and told them it was the worst service she'd had. It's appalling how some people treat small businesses and the entitlement that can be bestowed without ever even actually having a service. This salon is top quality, and I have yet to have encountered a salon who's entire team genuinely cares about the client experience and consistently do what they can and consider what is far to make everyone happy. This was by far the worst nail experience I've ever had. We were rushed from the second we walked in the door, from having colors shoved in our faces to rush us choosing even to the point my nails weren't even cured properly. They're mis-shapen and lumpy and my thumb nail peeled off within a few hours. So disappointed. Editing to add in response to the owners comment. I was with a friend, who had her tech cut her finger twice while filing with the electric file. Her finger was red, swollen and irritated when she got home. I did have grown out acrylics, I did not want to damage my nails by having them removed, I expected it to not be perfectly flat, but she didn't even shape ny nails well and my square nails are all crooked. I have had other salons do the exact thing I requested with a much more aesthetically pleasing outcome. She flash cured my nails between coats and I did have my hands fully in the light, but the bottom layers were not allowed to cure for an adequate time, resulting in my nail peeling off, I have been getting my nails done for 10+ years, mostly black, and have never had a nail peel like this. My friend requested a white glitter and left with basically pink, not at all what she asked for and her nails were all different shapes and rough on most edges. I do know how long it takes to soak off nails which is why I'm baffled she was in and out of a chair within 35 minutes. She should have had the chance to choose her color before she even had foils on her fingers, not have a book shoved in her face while she was getting her nails wrapped and couldn't even properly hold the options to look. read more

I picked this place because of their Yelp review. Water, soda, chips free. Good, but I go there not for free soda but for a good nail job! However, the work they did was shocking. I came for a GelX and pedicure. After she put the GelX 6 out of 10 fingers where the top of the GelX was supposed to be glues to the nail was not and had a bubble. They offered to remove them all and put again, nice of them, but I could not stay any longer. Very bad experience. I paid for my old gel removal and did not have time to finish. read more

This place is good if you just want a basic set or pedicure, but don't come here if you want nail art or a really good quality acrylic set. I have been searching for a reasonably priced and quality nail salon in North Scottsdale for the past 5 months. I was glad to discover that Trendy is so close by. I got the classic mani/pedi combo for $45 and it was very relaxing. The staff did not try and hound you for the "upgrades" like the other nail salons in the area. Chris the nail technician did a wonderful job and I did not feel rushed. Their nail salon looks very new and super clean. They have a variety of options for mani/pedi. Note: if you have a special request, like cut extra part of cuticles, an extra coat of polish or gel color or if you want a spa sandal, ask for it. Don't expect the nail salon technician to automatically offer to you. If you ask, you will receive. Not all salons operate the same way. I have already recommended their nail salon to all of my friends in the area. Will back for sure. read more
