Had a major leak in the kitchen earlier this summer and reached out to C&C Plumbing. They referred me to IRH Water Damage Restoration for mitigation (drying/treating the framing, removing dry wall, floors, etc.). I was then referred to Majac Restoration to restore everything that was removed. I had no idea what to expect, and no experience dealing with the insurance company. This is where the magic began... Upon assessing the needed fixes to our home, Mike knew exactly what was needed in order to put the home back to what it was. He dealt with the insurance company on our behalf and was able to get everything he needed to get the work done. I wanted to get some upgrades done as our kitchen was really outdated (think white tile countertops, old oak cabinets that were poorly painted over...just a disaster). It was really kind of fortunate that the kitchen cabinets and countertop needed to be taken out for the mitigation crew to dry the walls. Mike threw some design ideas my way after I had given him a high-level idea of what I wanted. His proposals were completely on point of what I was looking for. The biggest challenge of this restoration was time. I had tenants that were already on their way to move in right before the leak happened. Mike knew time was of the essence and said he'd try his best to meet my timeline. The leak occurred sometime in late June, and by the time Mike came around, it was nearing the middle of July. He estimated about 3 months to complete the project (full kitchen: cabinets, countertops, whole downstairs flooring, a bit of upstairs flooring, and about a dozen handyman tasks I asked to get done for an additional small fee) - this was just a little over my desired completion time of the end of September, but I knew he'd be able to get it done. After signing the agreement, Mike and his crew got to work the next day. I loved that Mike kept in constant communication with me, and sent me pictures of the progress. He worked around so many obstacles (other crews working in the house), including my mother (it's her house actually) who kept on interfering with the decisions. We had a slab leak in our kitchen that caused damage to the laminate flooring. Our plumber recommended Majac Restoration to repair the damage, and I am very glad that they did.
