I would not use this company again. Our situation began as a water mitigation claim, which is already stressful for a homeowner, but the process quickly became disorganized. Communication was inconsistent, timelines changed, and we were told at various points that they were waiting on insurance coordination before work would proceed. The company ultimately chose not to complete the remediation, removed their equipment, and then billed for more days than the equipment was actually on site. When I attempted to ask questions and clarify the discrepancies, the interactions were not handled professionally. The verbal communication I experienced felt confrontational and dismissive rather than solution-oriented, which made an already difficult situation much worse. We have a mold issue in our sons room. :-/ We called our homeowners insurance to have someone come out to take a look.... The adjuster that came said there was indeed moisture and we'd need to tear up the walls. *cry* He'd write up the report and we'd hear back in a couple of weeks... Note: the guy didn't tell us a whole lot and the outcome seemed grim. We decided to get a second opinion. I tuned to good ole Yelp and found Restoration Pros. I called on Thursday and they came out Friday! AJ came out and he was great! We really liked him. He was friendly and easy to talk to. He said that they are seeing this A LOT right now with all the rain we got this year. Plus add in the fact that my sons door is normally closed and the windows rarely opened for fresh air it was a breading ground for the mold. AJ said there was definitely moisture showing but not a super high number, so that is good. It's not black mold (big relief) and wasn't near AS bad as we thought it was. He was very helpful and informative. He told us things we can do: get outdoor bleach and dilute it with water to wipe down the baseboards and walls, get hanging moister absorbing bags (new to us), put a dehumidifier in there (which we had already bought). We also decided to pull up the carpet to take a look. Fortunately we didn't SEE any mold but it had that icky smell. We decided to just take it all out. Everyone I dealt with at this company is courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, accommodating, and took care of me like a good, kind neighbor one wishes of having. They give you an estimate of arrival each visit and shows up on time. I have yet to work with a contractor as professional as they are. Not only they did a superb job, they eased my anxiety and educated me regarding water damage. I incurred damage from dishwasher line (chewed by rats ‍). I thought it was minor but I contacted Restoration Pros at the recommendation of a plumber. Water seepage was much more extensive than I imagined into walls, and flooring. Restoration Pros worked with my insurance. Walls and floors were opened up, kitchen was walled off w plastic wall to keep debris in work area to dry the damage. To my surprise, green mold had formed behind the dishwasher. They treated with anti-microbial in areas needing treatment and sealed off areas from overspray. I've used another Water Restoration company before sent by my insurance (though they were good), Restoration Pro is in the Major League of their expertise. Their equipment is top notch high tech. Thank you Lamar, Eric and the crew. Experience from hell (well, rats) turned into fixable and rational experience. Lamar even found the tiny hole where rodents were using, noted it was limited activity (whew) and even cleaned up the area. Rodents are now removed (another vendor) and I'm not afraid of my house anymore. Lessons learned. 1. Rodents are sneaky and are plentiful after rain. And want to be indoors in the winter. 2. An electrical contractor sat on and broke a 3/4" sprinkler line in our attic. I was frantic and called Restoration Pros (per the recommendation of our plumber Chris Burbage, owner of FHL Plumbing).
