Majestic Theater in Williston, Vermont is a wonderful venue for watching movies ! Majestic features a number of films every week appropriate for both children and adults. I enjoy the variety of films offered and l look forward to seeing the previews. Popcorn is delicious and offered widely for our enjoyment while we watch our movie. Many other snacks are offered , there is a variety to eat. The theaters are huge and spacious with beautiful flowing draperies to provide a wonderful ambience ! I would highly recommend Majestic Theater in Williston, Vermont to anyone seeking a fun way to enjoy the latest movie. read more

The movie we were to see was posted to be in theater #1. Oops... it's been moved to #3. Uh oh, now it's in #5. The movie wasn't aligned properly, so the bottom of the movie was off the screen. Bathrooms were clean. read more

My husband and I were so excited about having a date night, and decided on a movie. We spent almost $50 on tickets and treats! We were in theatre 7. There was NO heat. I waited about an hour and couldn't take it anymore, we were so cold. My husband has cancer, and we did not dress to be as cold inside as we felt outside. I had to leave the movie and went out to find the manager. I couldn't find a live person but heard voices and followed them to a room. I peeked in knocking on the door and asked if the man I saw sitting in the chair was the manager. A young lady spoke up and said "he is the owner, I am the manager...How can I help?" I explained to her that the heat was not working and she said she would check it right away. I went back and sat down expecting the heat to kick on. We sat through another hour until the movie, ended so miserable and cold. (Yes that's right we should've left. We were freezing, but we spent a lot of money and were watching a movie that we wanted to see .") We couldn't believe that it wasn't getting warmer in that room. After the movie .... I found the manager in the same room as before and asked her what happened to the heat. She proceeded to tell me in detail about how the heat wasn't working and they needed to get it fixed. I was shocked and asked her why she would not have come and told us when she knew it was not going to work. She just stuttered. I told her that she should have come and told us that the heat was broken, not let us continue to sit there. I will NEVER go there again and will encourage nobody else to either. read more

If this theater were a close friend, I would be scheduling regular wellness checks. We were there last Friday, and the facility was in a complete shambles. Overflowing waste bins in the bathrooms, and popcorn literally dusted over the entire theater. We were there for a 5:30 showing, and upon our arrival, we were met with a concession stand empty of popcorn. Ten minutes into our movie, I sprinted back and they were 10 minutes away from 10 minutes away from popcorn. Thirty minutes into the film, again, no popcorn. I almost resorted to hoovering the floor for a salty crunchy treat. Please send a good friend over, I don't think this place is going to make it. read more

It was a cold, cloudy day today. Perfect to see a movie. We opted to see "Wicked" in 3D. Got there in plenty of time, and got good seats. When the previews began the on-screen image appeared very "foggy" for lack of a better description. Thinking that maybe it was just for the previews we stuck it out, but when the feature began we were both experiencing the same thing, the fogginess continued. I went to the front desk staff to lodge some feedback, hoping it could be corrected, but it was so crowded I didn't stand a chance of connecting with anyone, so back to the theater I went. My partner said that the movie was starting in non-3D at 1230 and maybe we should just switch to that theater, so that's what we did. "Much better!" we both commented when we sat down. Movie was great(!) but I don't trust the 3D experience at The Majestic any more. read more

Went to see boys in the boat. The movie was good but temperature in the room was 40 degrees. Worst experience I have ever had.

Spent $90 dollars on food and movie tickets only to have the move all fussy and striped with lines told them something was wrong. 4 times we told them it wasn't right and they even tried to restart the movie and let it play the same way not fixed. Unwatchable the way it was we asked for our money back they would only refund the price of the tickets $37 dollars. read more

Just saw the 'A Complete Unknown' which was a good movie. However, we paid nearly $50 for 4 matinee tickets and $55 for 2 shared popcorns, a pretzel and sodas which comes to $100 for a movie for the 4 of us. I would be okay paying that if the place just felt a bit more kept up. There was a lot of overflowing trash, popcorn, dirty counters, several women's bathroom sinks out of order with overflowing trash too. It certainly didn't feel welcoming or like we were treating ourselves to nice matinee. But the most significant negative was how very cold it was. We all kept our coats on throughout the movie and it was not comfortable during the rather long (but good) film. Would have emailed Majestic 10 directly, but they don't give an email address in their website and they are not very reachable by phone. Mostly a recording. I wonder if less people are going to the movies because it isn't as comfortable or inviting as it once was, not because there are other options out there now. I do like going out with the family, but want to feel it is worth the cost and the place is clean. read more

I went with excitement to see my first movie in 15 years. Dune part 2 is an amazing movie! However because the volume was so extremely loud, I could not enjoy the movie at all, I just wanted to leave the theater. What a waste of a great movie due to the obnoxious blaring of the speakers which damaged hearing of many listeners. read more

I came here to see Thor: Ragnarok in 3D and was glad to see the prices are reasonable. I was asking the young woman questions who rang me up and as I was paying, I had asked if they a frequent customer too movie card. They did, but she said she could not apply it to my current purchase as I had not told her I wanted one before I got my ticket (mentoring I was new to the area when I stepped up to the counter-the place was empty-didn't make her think to mention it beforehand) and she said no one could help me do that. Sigh. There wasn't anyone manning the theater entrance to take the part of my ticket; I even started to walk back towards concessions, but was ignored, so I just walked in and took a seat. The location is great and the theater seating itself is nice, minus the fact the person behind me kept kicking my chair (and I had to ask them to politely stop during the film-not cool, but not the theater's fault). The screen was perfect for the 3D. I found the employees to be a bit aloof and the customer service a little faulty, but was otherwise it's a venue I'll return to unless I like the other local ones better. read more

A lot of the complaints of previous reviewers are right - the seats can be shoddy, the floors can be sticky, concession lines are slow, the prices are probably a bit more than what they deserve, and once in a blue moon the projectionist will screw something up. But here's the thing: you can tell they *are* trying to improve, and over the last few months I've gone from almost never going to Majestic to it now being my preferred theater. Essex may have a better setup on paper, but whoever's been projecting here recently is extraordinarily talented at getting the most out of both visual and sound, far better than anyone else for miles. I come here for booming sound and clear picture, and that's exactly what I get. They've also been great about diversifying the types of movies they screen in the last year or so - movies you used to only be able to see at the Roxy now reliably come here to a better audiovisual setup, which as far as I'm concerned is more than enough to keep me coming back. Is it understaffed? Yes, absolutely. Is it occasionally hit or miss? Sure. But recently, the hits have far outnumbered the misses, and hit harder than anywhere else in town. read more

This movie theater was clean and the staff was friendly. The price of the ticket was fair at $8.75 for an early afternoon showing. The theater is stadium seating but were nice for that style of chair. There are bathrooms next to the theatre so it makes it easy to use if needed during the movie. I will be going here again! read more

I've come to this theatre a number of times over the years. Comfortable seats with leg room. I like the ability to move the arm rest out of the way however the seats could use some time to deep clean them. The managers need to learn how to do their jobs so they can teach they employees how to do theirs. I stood for a full 10 minutes to get their popcorn refill deal I paid $12 for. I watched the managers argue with customers and then with each other. Finally she looked up- oh I can help you here! Managers tip: just because a line up of customers are standing an entire 5 feet from you doesn't mean they can't hear everything you're saying. She then explained that the deal I paid for isn't a deal anymore. You still pay the same- you just don't get the deal you pay for. MAJESTIC 10! My wife and I love this movie theatre. It was always our go to when we lived in Vermont. It was further away than Palace 9 but definitely worth the drive. The seats are comfortable and it's usually not too busy but busy enough not to be awkward! The popcorn and drinks are expensive as expected but the popcorn always seems fresh and tastes great. The employees are usually pretty friendly and they have a decent selection of candy. Each screening we've been to the place is usually very clean. Never had a bad experience here. Went to see the new Batman on opening weekend and literally walked out after 10 minutes for the first time in my life-- not because of the movie, but because of the Theater. The sound quality of the theater was the worst I've ever experienced. There was no surround-- even though there were speakers on the wall-- so all of the sound came from the front. Needless to say, it was almost impossible to hear anything, and when you actually did, the sound packed no punch. Also, there was no air conditioning or circulation, so the entire theater just smelled of stale body odor. All in all the experience was so bad, I thought it a better use of my time and money to cut bait and see the movie again at another theater. Won't be coming back. read more

Poor management, rude staff and dirty!! Facility seems to be run by kids who have the customer service skills of a corpse. Dirty theaters, stale popcorn and overpriced concessions. If you enjoy the smell of old greasy popcorn ( theaters smell like dirty feet) then this is the place for you. Take your money and go to Essex Cinemas!! I have not been to the Majestic 10 in a long while. So I'm happy to report that it has gotten some what better. However, it's still the 2nd best theater in town. This time around I didn't see any screen issues. But the sound system was very off during the previews. Overly loud and in your face! Enough to make the person next to you look around to make sure they are not crazy! After the movie started the sound was better and spot on. The theater was clean for the most part and what I would have expected. Seats are comfy and the arm rests do move up! That's a big plus. Pricing was around $9.00 per ticket so that was pretty standard for our area. Food like always is just over priced! One other flaw with this theater is the fact that they have ban all fire arms. Sorry but when you do that i will not support you most of the time. So I will continue coming here my few times a year and that's it. I think its our right to carry a fire arm if we wish too. So there you have it. Majestic 10 has sorta come to a stand still. Not bad but not great! I still think Essex offers a much better viewing experience over all. read more

My old theater used to have a restaurant and full service bar, so until another place let's me bring a bottle of wine into my movie, no one gets five stars. But this theater is probably the next best thing. It has lots of screens, but the theaters themselves aren't too big. The place is always clean, which must be difficult when slobs like me schlep snow all over the place. Couldn't tell you about the concessions, because I swore off over-priced popcorn years ago. I assumed that it's just as much a rip-off here as it is everywhere else and didn't miss it one bit :) read more

It's a very solid place. My experiences have been really good. Usually clean. Staff seems fine. I was getting tickets for an upcoming show and the girl seemed knowledgeable. The staff is clearly very young and I'm sure for many this is their first job. I do stress that if you're disabled in any way to stay away. The theater is on a high rise so there's sets of stairs and escalators. The escalators I've seen not in operation more often than I think they should be. The selection of movies is great. The seats are ok comfortable wise. Not the greatest not the worst. Overall it's a fine place. Cusp of 3-4. I gave it a 4 because of the overall experience and the many many posters they display of upcoming movies. It's a nice conversation piece on your way out. read more

They don't let guys in with bookbags, but allow women in with purses, which is clearly gender discrimination. Also, they have more security cameras than a bank, which seems strange. Not a very welcoming place. read more

I think Majestic 10 has a superb facility, good concessions, nicely spacious and comfortable theaters and almost always shows a great selection of films. I do, however, have one big gripe with them: advertising! I was just completely amazed that I had to sit through 10 - 15 minutes of local and national advertising before we even had to start watching trailers the last time I was there. I find that so unacceptable when I'm paying anywhere between $8 - $10 per ticket plus the high rates at concessions. It just seems greedy and a waste of your customer's time to have to endure that kind of treatment. I miss the days when you could go to a movie theater to watch MOVIES! I know Majestic 10 isn't the only theater these days to do this but I'm so very disappointed in them as they could be a GREAT theater if they didn't insult us, their paying customers. read more

Majestic 10 is like an old and comfortable friend to me. The layout is nice with escalators that go from the door to the snack and ticket areas. I like the variety of snacks you can purchase (all overpriced of course). The slushies/icees are unique to this theater and I recommend giving them a try. I almost always get one when I go instead of snacks. This is a moderately sized theater with a quite a few viewing rooms. The latest and most popular movies are always available. No imax or other special 3D option is available. The floor and seats are usually fairly clean. Majestic 10 is an average and stereotypical movie theater that provides everything you'd look for in such a place. Nothing extravagant or super special, but a nice and homey place to spend some time. read more

Awesome theater and my definite go to place for all the newest movies. It's a relatively new theater and has some very big auditoriums. The auditoriums are nice because they have a significant slant upward so everyone can see no matter where you sit. The seats are comfortable and recline a little bit which is nice. The screens are very good quality and they're widescreen so it's good for widescreen movies (which is 90% of movies these days). The service is really good and the people are very nice. The concessions are good and they have a god enough selection of candy and such. The layout of the theater is nice a I like how new it is. It always plays the newest movies and always has a great selection of the latest blockbuster movies. Definitely the best theater in the Burlington area. read more
