It's been years since I've played and it was so much fun. The controller stick was a bit off so I lost very quickly lol. They had some other cool games that you see in amusement parks. The other game i would've played was the pinball machine but it wasn't working. The upstairs area had a small bar area and places to sit. There was cool art work on both floors. This is definitely a cool place to check out and enjoy with or without kids.

There is also mini golf downstairs in a black light heavy, subway themed space, although we didn't try it. Games, as others noted, are not a great value. If you only put $10 on a card for your kids, it won't go far. And the prizes are the typical run of the mill for spaces like this. Some games are a better value than others, in particular pinball. Didn't try the bar upstairs but it looked very cool. It's a pay-and-pour system where you even get to pick out your own mug. Beer selection was decent, even though it's pricey as pay-and-pour systems tend to be. Plenty of seating too. Would try this next time I'm around. Putting the value aside, this place is definitely cared for and loved by somebody. It's not just a random assortment of games; it is curated, and if they improved the value a bit this place could be special. Still worth an hour trip for $20 bucks if you need something to do in town.

The entry works pretty smoothly though, and since we had prepaid tickets, they were able to look us up, give us a map and we were parked quickly. I was there specifically for the Thomas Dambo exhibit. He is a Danish sculpture artist known for his giant trolls made out of recycled wood. Each troll is unique and has a name and purpose....to save the Humans and teach them about sustainability. The trails are beautiful in the woods and clearly marked. There was a beautiful section of the forest where an original piece of music was being played from 24 speakers as you followed the trail. An enchanting small lake filled with water lilies was out the back door of the main building. They have a small cafeteria and a nice gift shop.The building was full of interesting exhibits, including a tank with otters.

They were so active and playful, I could have watched them for hours. 2. Daily critter encounters - not sure what it's called exactly, but they have multiple opportunities throughout the day to hear a presentation and see an animal up close. On our visit we got to see the Kestrel. The presentation was quite interested. The small theater area is quite nice. 3. The Wild Walk is so nice and accessible! The interactive opportunities along the walk are great as well. 4. Lots and Lots of things to look at and explore inside and outside. Many trails. Tons of artifacts. The Troll exhibit was so cool. You really could spend an entire day here and still not do everything. 5. Lastly - THE GIFT SHOP. Seriously? I'm in love. So many wonderful, beautiful things. I had to keep myself from spending money this trip, but OH! Be still my nerdy nature-loving heart! Definitely make this a part of your next ADK adventure.

All have a museum of some sort and Lake Placid (1932 and 1980) is no exception. Lake Placid is one of the smallest cities to host and it's clear even today that it would have been challenged with the huge event. Today, there are huge hotels and the roads have been improved but it is far from major transportation and I would imagine transportation was a big challenge. The XIII Winter Games was held from February 13 to 24, 1980. Americans will best remember it for the men's hockey who unexpectedly won the gold medal, defeating the Soviet (not yet "Russia") team in the game now called the Miracle on Ice (multiple movies including one starring Kurt Russell). The museum has a big section specifically dedicated to this series and the original scoreboard is on display. Lots of other memorabilia including uniforms, tickets, and such. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the staff are very nice. My fiancé and I did the mountain coaster which was a lot of fun but at a high cost ($55 per person). Overall, it's a fun place to go for the Mountain Coaster but we were left with wanting more out of our visit (without the high cost).

We ordered our stalls and asked to be directed to them... a day later we were told we needed to vacate them because we were told wrong. So imagine our frustration after finally finishing setting up and unpacking our stuff, just to end up moving again. On top of that, we are now all separated into different barns. I am hoping to look past this and enjoy the show, but it was very infuriating. I am not the only person this has happened to either. Now to talk about the set up, the barns are very odd. The isles are hard to enter, and the stalls are tiny. The show is very well run and they get their classes done early.
