I contacted Justin immediately in mid-August and sent photos as requested, but despite being told it was a simple fix, I received no follow-up. I reached out several times via text, email, and phone, yet as of October 1st, I still have not received a timeline for scheduling the repairs. I would appreciate a clear timeline for repairs and more consistent updates regarding the status of my warranty claims. Implementing a dedicated customer service contact or an automated repair scheduling system could help prevent delays and improve communication. We truly enjoyed our initial experience and hope that future service aligns with the high standards set during installation. Leaving customers in limbo does not reflect well on your business, and I look forward to seeing improvements in these areas.

And how many informal "business meetings and decisions were made over a drink at "Doc's Skyroom" on Hilltop back in the day. Needless to say, my uncle was a stickler for doing the job right. I'm guessing they got rid of our paperwork in case black mold or other issues arose due to the water getting in. Be very very careful when dealing with this company. Just recently had TWO patio covers installed on our new home in Redding, CA. We could not be more pleased with everyone we met along the way, beginning with Chrissy who came out and gave us our initial quote, to the office staff, and then the two guys that did an amazing job with their attention to detail when installing two separate patio covers (in half the time we were initially told), finally by the personal attention we received from Darin, the co-owner of Majestic Builders. The guys made sure there wasn't any evidence of them being there once they were done, which is NOT the case from the construction crews that build my last three homes. These guys made sure every last screw was picked up and their empty boxes and wrap taken with them. The February 2019 snow storm brought down oak limbs crushing portions of my lattice patio cover. The staff at Majestic were wonderful to work with providing me with on site inspection and written estimate to repair the damage for submission to my insurance company only days after the storm. The day their crew came to make the repairs it was cold and raining. They completed the job, cleaned up the site when they finished and presented me with an invoice that was significantly less than what I expected because parts that might have been damaged but couldn't be seen until the repair work began were intact. They could have charged me anyway and I wouldn't have known the difference. That's integrity in business. read more

Did a great job! Had a original patio cover made of wood and it was falling apart. Chrissy came out to give a bid on replacing it with Duralum, and answered all our questions. Bid for job was very detailed to there would be no mistakes. Workmen were on time and got the job done promptly. We hired Stephens Painting to paint the exterior of our home and had a very mixed experience. Before the painting even started, the owner sent her son, along with a 16-year-old worker, to pressure wash the property. My patio cover was not pressure washed, but I was told it had been. After I showed the owner photos demonstrating that it had not been washed, she told me that her son would never inherit the company because of what had happened. I found it inappropriate to be drawn into internal family and employment matters as a customer. The biggest issue involved our brand-new front door. The paint repeatedly failed because the factory primer had not been properly prepared before painting. The door ultimately had to be stripped, sanded, and reprimed. Even after that, the team was unable to achieve an acceptable finish despite at least four additional attempts. At their request, I purchased a steel door because they did not want to paint a fiberglass door. I informed them that it was factory primed. When the paint failed, I was told by the owner that I had said the door was primed. However, determining the proper preparation procedures for a factory-finished surface is the responsibility of the painting contractor, not the homeowner. I was also advised that if I purchased another door, I "shouldn't paint it" because it "has trouble taking paint." The manufacturer's instructions require the door to be sanded before painting and painted within 45 days to maintain the warranty. That step was not performed before the initial paint application. The door now has scratched glass and significant texture defects, and we have decided to replace it and have the new door painted by another company. They also painted the vinyl door frame after I had specifically requested in writing that it not be painted. During the process, they removed the vinyl cover and cracked the brand-new exterior trim. Although they repaired it with wood filler and the repair is acceptable, it was another example of a lack of attention to detail. There were also numerous overspray issues. White trim paint was sprayed onto the dark body of the house multiple times, requiring repeated repainting. Front door paint was oversprayed onto my interior walls, and the repairs were not completed to an acceptable standard. My entryway walls were also scratched. For one interior wall, I clearly specified eggshell for the wall and semi-gloss for the trim. I even labeled the paint cans I supplied, yet the sheens were reversed. While working inside my home, they did not adequately protect my belongings and got paint on my couch and an irreplaceable ottoman. The paint was wiped off, but the damage remained noticeable. We also experienced issues with the dark exterior paint, including noticeable flashing and numerous missed spots. To their credit, they returned multiple times to address the problems, and the exterior paint is now mostly acceptable. Ultimately, I now have to hire another company to paint a new front door, repaint the damaged interior walls and trim, and finish the exterior door trim. Communication throughout the project was inconsistent and unprofessional, requiring extensive discussions, multiple site visits, and ultimately a settlement agreement. At one point, I was also told that employees' pay might be affected because of the situation, which made me uncomfortable. I don't believe customers should be placed in the middle of internal employment matters. I appreciate that the company made repeated efforts to address the issues, but I believe many of these problems could have been avoided with better surface preparation, quality control, and communication from the beginning. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering this company to carefully inspect the work throughout the project, especially on specialty surfaces and when using dark paint colors.

His response was that he did not know the manufacturer or model of the window, so it would be hard to figure out the trim I needed. However, he had also replaced the stationary side of the sliding door as part of my job order that had the exact same trim but was still intact. His solution was to me was to just fill it in with silicone! I later had a home inspection prior to listing my home and the lack of trim got noted as a "Correction Recommended" repair! The whole reason I had called them out to replace the broken glass door only for them not to fix it correctly! Frustrated, I got online and found the trim I needed in my first Google search! I later called another local glass company for a different repair and mentioned it to them. He said the trim is a standard trim and that all their service trucks are stocked with it!!
