Jason and his team renovated the whole basement by installing drywall, replacing the drop ceiling with a conventional ceiling and new lighting, and covering the entire floor with functional but attractive laminate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were involved in the design and satisfied with the results. In addition, they replaced our kitchen floor, which had some water damage, with beautiful ceramic tile to complement the existing quartz counters. This is the second major project Jason has done for us. He previously remodeled a bathroom for us, replacing all the fixtures and flooring, as well as installing a pocket door. We are very happy with all the work that was done and would highly recommend Building Buddies.

The stain was applied unevently, the extra was not removed so there are spots everywhere and near the walls there is too much stain. I paid over $9k expecting to have something that will last my family for 15 years. This is dreadfully disappointing. Avoid at all costs!

Installation was completed within one week for a job that was more complicated than anticipated. Pricing was transparent and everything handled professionally. Financing was a great option. We compared several local options and some national names and ultimately molyneaux struck the right balance of large enough but local enough for us. We will go back for future work if needed.

We hired Molyneaux to install manufactured hardwood on our first and second floor. They were…read moresupposed to have it installed while we were on our honeymoon. Instead, they barely finished our second floor and had none of our first floor done when we returned. On top of that, it took them an additional three days to finish the job. The final job included uneven floors, floors that creaked, and floors that were not evenly distributed. They clearly were in a hurry, with quality being a minor concern. They offered us $500 credit for a future job but their pricing for said future job was so outrageous it seemed a joke. Instead we went another direction. We used Empire for our addition 6 months later, and the quality difference is noticeable. The Empire floors are solid, even, and stable. The Molyneaux floors are uneven, inconsistently placed, and lacking quality for the price charged. Overall very disappointing.

We didn't know when the project would start until materials were just delivered. we had a dumpster in our driveway for 6 days after project was completed. We didn't know there would even be a dumpster. No one from Shly ever returned our calls regarding scheduling, delay in finishing (not all materials were delivered), or removing dumpster. The person answering the phone couldn't answer questions. Finally, we were emailed an invoice for the final payment 2 weeks after project the project was finished,& then, Shly emailed again the next day demanding their money. Stay away!
